A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Boss Hunting!

.

.

.

David was currently walking through the cave, with his tail swinging around him, excited, like a dog.

'To be honest... it's getting kind of dark... where in the hell am I?' David looked at his {Mini-Map}, though all it showed was the massive amount of red dots in front of him.

'Bats?' David quickly used {Fire Claws} to make the bats around him active.

Shining the fire everywhere, all he heard was screeches and the flapping of wings all around him. Seeing that they are avoiding the light, David quickly follows them, as it seems like they were traveling as one group, going into a concentrated area, maybe the boss area as well?

Before fighting the boss, David decided to go slightly off track and slowly take out the minions first, as it would be a valuable experience since he could base off some of the boss's potential attacks from the minions.

*Cue the montage...*

David had been jumping and stalling most of the first few fights, learning their abilities before skillfully slashing their heads off. What he learned was mostly the fact that they usually used ranged attacks, using wind magic from their wings or using their mouths to create supersonic wavelengths, which nearly burst his eardrums off.

Though... when they do attack using melee, they actually use their claws and are usually tougher than those who fight in the rear lines.

'Ugh... mai ears...' David complained, rubbing his ears as they did bleed quite a bit in the first few fights.

By the time he was used to the attacks from the bats, there were already quite a few piles around the area, scaring away the other bats anyway.

David felt something different as he walked into a dimly lit room, with a large shadow cast in front of him, making him look up, drawing his claws, seeing that the massive bat was still asleep.

David dug his claws and tail into the ground, charging a massive dent in the ground. After a few moments, he could tell that it was even beginning to get unstable, so he let go of it, at full speed.

The {Earth Spike} launched at the large bat. Due to the fact it was sleep, even when it woke up, it was still felt quite groggily, instantly making its eyes filled with darkness before its nape was pierced, leaving no possible way for it to live.

It fell from the ceiling and dropped onto the floor. David checked it by slicing off its wings, since this was a world with magic, you never know what kind of things could happen.

David received the notification while dismantling the beast and was quite surprised at the drop he had gotten.

"So you can get lottery darts from doing this? I've killed so many monsters and still nothing, so it would only be given by chance once killing a boss I'm guessing..." David held a finger on his chin.

"Let's see how many more bosses are on this floor...hehehehe..." David chuckled, and if any monsters were here right now, they'd run out of fear.

David stored the dismantled body, and quickly left the scene, ready to hunt for more bosses as he didn't feel that tired.

Exploring more of the cave, he did see that the {Mini-Map} was slowly clearing up as the unexplored areas are clouded.

Walking in a completely different direction, David finally sees some red dots after a few minutes of straight sprinting and follows the dots, only to find that they were the lizards he had his first fight with.

David quickly releases his aura, scaring away most of the lizards. For the remaining lizards, David quickly kills them off, as he had already killed quite a few of them, therefore gaining some experience fighting against them.

David quickly looks around his map, seeing the large dot, he quickly runs after it, as he wants to get it done quickly.

After an hour of sprinting, David had felt that he had been walking all day and even looked at the map, seeing that the large dot had been at the same distance the entire time, his smile twitched.

"I'm getting played with? Alright then..." due to the time David was running, all of his Hp and Mp was now full, making it easier for him to fight now.

David plunged his tail into the ground and made the entire area light up in flames. Even though the lizard boss was able to resist flames and lava, the mana being poured and the environment around it could still severely burn it.

David saw out of the corner of his eye that the lava lizard was running. Sensing its aura, he made sure that it was the same one on the map and dashed towards it.

The lizard screeched seeing that David was rushing towards it, especially sensing the harmonic hybrid blood running in his veins, even if most of his animalistic parts weren't showing as much as it should.

'Boring... Wait! Need to kill it first!' David snapped out of another of his animalistic thoughts and stabbed the lizard on the belly before spiking it from the mouth, making it hang like a spit roast.

"Ohh... that's... my bad, sorry... Argh! There you go!" David cut off its head and pulled its body off the earth spike before storing it into his inventory.
