Big People's Problem

Anna: 'I want to tour your place tomorrow, can you tell Mr. Charles to pick me up by Nine in the morning?'

Roy: 'Do you want to move in tomorrow as well?'

Seeing his message, Anna fell into contemplation for almost a minute before responding.

Anna: 'Let me see what your place looks like first. Besides, I haven't told my Mum about our marriage.'

It took only a few seconds before Roy started to type out a response. It's as if he always knew the right thing to do.

Roy: 'I will explain everything to your Mum when I return tomorrow, so maybe, you can hold on with the house tour.'

Since he planned to visit her mother the following day, it would be wise for her to be around. The earlier they settled this issue, the better for their peace.

Anna: 'Thank you, I will really appreciate your help. What time is your flight tomorrow?'

Roy: 'Give me a sec…'

Ten seconds later, Roy replied with '2:15 pm' which put Anna to rest. Although she had wanted to tell him that there was still enough time to tour his place and return to her place to wait for him, she figured out that it might be better for a familiar face to show her around at the end.

Anna: 'I will wait for you. Good night.'

Anna put her phone down on the nightstand but palmed her cheeks when she caught her reflection in the mirror. "Why do I have a smile on my face?"

The young lady couldn't believe that she was that excited over a man's call. Well, that man was her husband even though it was in name only.

But at least, even if the relationship established is fake, Anna could already sense that it will never be compared to her previous one with Sam Holland.

She had something real with him, but he ended up cheating.

By the time Anna had finished freshening up and remembered the pictures she asked Sophia to send to her, it was already late.

After all, those things were not really important, so she got under her duvet and turned off the lights before her head hit the soft pillow.

As Minister Kim has been eager about Roy's marriage to the daughter of their country's prime minister, he had breakfast early and attended to a few important tasks in his study room before driving out.

As earlier arranged, he met the prime minister at the service bureau where they exchanged greetings before making their way directly to the director's office.

The Director wasn't surprised to see them as he had been informed of their visit. But when heard the reason they had come to meet him, he was stupefied.

The man could hardly keep his emotions intact in front of their two dignitaries who were yet to be informed about the bad news.

First, the director's gaze moved from the prime minister to Minister Kim before he slowly sank into his chair behind the desk.

"I apologize Sirs for my reaction…"

"You haven't seen parents coming to register their children's marriage before?" Minister Kim chuckled while exchanging glances with the prime minister who had an equal smile on his face.

The director licked his lips as he didn't know how to stop them from making the wrong speculation, so he let them be before sitting up properly and clearing his throat.

Resuming his polite smile, he announced as his gaze rested on them, "Minister Kim, I am sorry to announce to you that according to the marriage laws of Danastan, your son, Roy Kim cannot register a marriage with two women."

"What?" the prime minister looked a little confused. 'What two women?'

The smile on Minister Kim's face completely disappeared as he met the director's gaze with a glare. "What do you mean by that?" he questioned.

The director released a deep breath and intertwined his fingers before speaking in a much lower tone this time around, "Minister Kim, your son, Roy was here to register his marriage yesterday. In other sense, he is legally married and cannot register his marriage to another woman unless he divorces his first wife."

As those words reached his ears, Minister Kim felt as if the holiday bells suddenly went off, causing him not to actually understand what was going on.

'Roy registered his marriage yesterday? How? How on earth is he married?'

Next to Minister Kim, the prime minister was beyond shock. He felt like his mind was being toiled with by the Kim people.

How could the man he specially hand-picked for his daughter be already married to another woman just yesterday? And even the Minister of Works had no idea about it.

Were these people joking with him or what? Have they forgotten who he was with just a few shared drinks and laughter?

On the other hand, Minister Kim was not in the right frame of mind to register the change in the man sitting next to him. He was still after doubting the director.

"Director, how is it possible for my son to register his marriage without my consent?" he asked the director and that was about the right time someone walked in to serve them tea.

If Roy's father wasn't mindful of his image, he would have glared at the person because what can a good tea do for him in this situation?

After the person left, the director released another deep sigh before turning on the computer screen in front of him.

"Minister Kim, the last I will do today, is to lie to you and the Honourable Prime Minister who had taken the effort to come down to my office. Please give me a minute and I will pull up the record from my system."

Minister Kim could feel a breath get stuck in his throat. His old brain was already stressed and he wasn't understanding anything anymore. He only had to wait patiently to see the records for himself.

The prime minister picked up the cup of tea that was poured for him and brought it to his nose. As the aroma wafter into his nose, he breathed in sharply before putting the teacup down. This was his way of calming his nerves.

In no time, the director pulled up the record and showed it to them while offering more information.

"Here is the date and time of the marriage registration. Your son's wife is a member of the National lawn tennis team. And according to him, they have known each other for a while."

The director went ahead to show them the wedding pictures and another proof of the marriage's authenticity as both parties had penned their signatures down along with a thumbprint.

After observing all the details, Minister Kim had only one question. "Can I get a divorce on my son's behalf?"

Let's pray that Minister Kim doesn't suffer a heartattack soon.
