Chapter 45

All Might was in trouble.

Even though All for One didn't care for Shigaraki, he was angry that his efforts had all been in vain. The League of Villains was effectively finished with the death of its face.

Kurogiri's quirk was still active, and the rest of the league members managed to escape before the portal closed. All for One unleashed his powers upon All Might, hell bent on breaking the man both physically and mentally.

I knew that if I were to go back and help All Might, All for One would try everything to eliminate me. But I also couldn't watch as the former was being beaten to death on the screen.

I realised that it was all within the villain's plan to get captured and be imprisoned in Tartarus. He wanted Shigaraki to seek out Garaki for power so that his body could be prepared for All for One to take over.

With Tomura dead, All for One's plan to regain his prime was effectively ruined, and he was taking his anger out on All Might.

'All it will take is a touch, or a scratch, for me to poison him. I will inject him with the most lethal poison available in my body. The effect of the nasty plot and bulk up is still there. What I need is more speed.'

I couldn't use 'Rain Dance' as All Might and All for One were blowing away buildings. How could a few rain clouds stand against their power?

I closed my eyes and meditated upon the psychic energy within me. I was already able to use moves such as 'Psychic' and 'Shattered Psyche'. I knew that I was capable of more... Much more.

I could feel the energy within me, enriching me and strengthening me.

'Agility!'

All might was getting tired. He could feel the last few embers of 'One for All' slowly extinguishing as the battle raged on. When All for One told him that Shigaraki was none other than Nana Shimura's grandson, he was devastated.

The blood of his mentor, spilled by a hero because 'All for One' groomed Shigaraki into the terrifying monster he had become. All Might's rage could not be defined with words.

It was his rage that was keeping him in the fight.

But, he could feel it. With the injuries piling up, he knew that it was going to be his last battle.

"This is a hopeless battle for you, All Might!! You are weak! The persona of the unshakable pillar of peace is finally going to shatter by my hands!! I will reveal to the world your vulnerability and your true self!! Tonight marks the moment this country loses its Symbol of Peace!!"

All for One attacked All Might with a devastating combination of quirks that sent the hero crashing through concrete. Broken and bloodied, All Might's buffed up form reverted back to his emaciated one, and the world finally saw the truth of All Might.

"Look at him, Japan!! Look at your pathetic Symbol of Peace!! Now, watch me destroy your hopes, your dreams, and your fragile image of this world!!! Let me show you the reality as I kill the man wh-"

*Squelch*

"What a pathetic monologue." I said as I pulled out my stinger from his back.

All for One wheezed and coughed blood before falling down on one knee. Meanwhile, I rushed to All Might's side and supported him, preventing him from falling.

"Young Asui, why are you here? He will do everything in his power to kill you. Run while you can!"

With my eyes still trained on our adversary, I said, "You've gone above and beyond to protect our peace. You've suffered enough, All Might. I couldn't let him destroy everything you've accomplished for the people. I couldn't let him throw us further into despair."

'Life dew.'

"Young Asui.."

"Don't worry about me, All Might. He won't be amongst the living for long. He will die from poisoning in a matter of minutes."

Before All Might could say anything else, All for One began to laugh while coughing and exclaimed, "A few minutes!! I see, I have a few minutes to end your existence!!! Rise, Machia!!"

My eyes widened with shock and dread as the earth quaked, signaling the arrival of Gigantomachia on the battlefield. His hand tore through the destroyed terrain as he responded to his master's wishes.

I could already imagine the sheer amount of destruction he could cause. We were in the middle of the city and the number of casualties would be insurmountable.

'I can not allow this to happen. No matter what, I have to stop Gigantomachia.'

As the world began to slow down for my perception, I jumped into action and used 'Shadow sneak' to get close to him. Then, I combined 'Close Combat l' with 'Poison jab' to continuously barrage his arm.

'It won't be enough!'

I used 'Night slash' to open a brutal gash on the arm and then used 'Toxic' to infuse my poison directly into his bloodstream. By that time, his entire arm was out of the ground, and he was beginning to pull himself out.

I practically emptied my poison sacs into his wounds in an effort to end him quickly.

All for One, knowing what I was trying to do, had jumped towards me the moment I barraged Gigantomachia's arm. I was blown away by his 'Air cannon', and while still in the air, I twisted my body towards them and proceeded to use 'Aerial ace'.

I was upon Gigantomachia once again whose head and torso were already out of the ground. Immediately, I used 'Guillotine' in an attempt to end his life, but my attack missed, and my stingers knicked his neck. Blood gushed out of his body, and I was about to attack again when All for One slammed his hypertrophied fist into me.

The force behind his punch felt like I was struck by a truck. I could feel the bones in my arm, leg, and torso crack and crush. I landed far away into the rubble. My head was spinning, my ears ringing, and the pain in my head was unbearable.

'A skull fracture. Possible.. No, definite bleeding in my brain.'

I was beginning to vomit and lose my consciousness.

All for One was in front of me, ready to pulverize me with his behemoth like fist.

'I'm going to die.'

But, his fist never came as All Might had arrived, good as new, and engaged the villain in battle once again.

'Life dew.'

The healing vapors engulfed me and repaired my broken body. Within moments, I was up on my feet and ready to fight again.

Gigantomachia was slowing down. He was breathing hard and was vomiting blood as my poison took its effect on him. He was completely out of the ground, and instead of going on a rampage, he had turned his eyes towatds All Might.

'Shadow sneak!'

I used 'Night slash' and severed his Achilles tendons. Then, I jumped high into the sky and used 'Mega kick' combined with 'Aerial ace' to kick him over the top of his head.

Gigantomachia's head whipped down as he fell from the force of my kick. The poison had finally overcome his body. With a last few desperate gasps, he tried to get up, but he was simply too weak. His struggle lasted for a moment before his breathing ceased, and the behemoth succumbed to the reaper's scythe.

On the other side, All for One was on his last leg. He was trying to flee as he saw his ace, Gigantomachia, die at my hands. But, All Might was having none of it.

Using the last embers of 'One for All', All Might smashed his fist into the villain's face and crushed his skull. I heard All for One's heart beat for the last, and the biggest cockroach in the history of mankind was finally killed.

Despite the fatigue, I remained standing and watched as All Might's body reduced to being emaciated once again. I was witness to the end of the greatest evil in the history of the world.

And...

The end of the era of All Might.
