'Who'd have thought I'd miss attending classes?'

It was a regular lecture on first-aid and basic life support. I already knew everything, but, I was enjoying the lecture none the less.

Classes had resumed as everyone returned from their one week internships. Everyone knew about my situation and that I was a provisional hero. Bakugo was seething as I'd shown him up once again while the rest were mostly worried.

Mineta appeared to be traumatized from his internship with Mt. Lady. He didn't even ask me if I saw any hot heroines working for Edgeshot.

Hagakure was a little fidgety as the memory of our raunchy shower was still quite vivid in her mind... and in mine. 'That's.. Three women... Three more than in my last life.'

My focus returned to the topic being discussed in the class.

"It's imperative for heroes to know how to practice basic life support correctly. Either a civilian, a police officer or a colleague, it could be someone from your own batch, a situation may arrive when their lives will depend on you. Imagine a situation where your fellow hero on duty falls from sudden injury while in action."

I remembered learning the BLS measures in my previous life. The thought of losing a friend and feeling helpless in the situation was haunting.

"If you know the measures, you may be able to save their life. Remember, the first and foremost rule of basic life support is securing the scene. An accident in the middle of the road or a villain on rampage, you have to make sure that the person is in no physical danger. Along with that, you have to make sure that you are away from danger as well because performing the measures with make you vulnerable to attacks."

Everyone was listening to the guest lecturer with utmost attantion.

"Next, call the emergency service. After that, check their pulse. The best place to do it is on the neck. Trace your trachea with your fingers and let them slide to the right or left. Right between the border of trachea and the diagonal muscle, you will feel the pulse. Do not, in any case, check on both sides at the same time."

Kaminari raised his hand and asked, "What'll happen if we do check on both sides?"

The lecturer replied, "You will block the blood supply to the brain and possibly kill the person you are trying to save."

Kaminari swallowed his saliva and quickly sat down.

"Next, check if they are breathing. This shouldn't take more than ten seconds. After that, you start chest compressions. Place your hand on your chest plate. Go down and locate where the bone ends. Two fingers above that point, place your dominant hand and clasp your other hand over it. Then, you push while counting to thirty in fifteen seconds. After that, you give mouth-to-mouth breathing, or, resuscitation in technical terms."

Mineta, who was dreaming of groping an unconscious 'hot' woman's breasts went from feeling blissful to feeling horrendous within seconds. He raised his hand and asked, "What if it's a dude?! I don't wanna kiss a dude!!"

The lecturer looked incredulous. He raised a brow and said dryly, "A person's life matters much more that your hissy fits and apprehension to 'kissing' a dude. Political standing and sexual orientation are beneath the value of the lives of civilians and of your comrades."

That and a glare from Aizawa made Mineta sit back into his chair with a plop. The lecturer then said, "After thirty compressions, breathe twice into the person's mouth while you close their nostrils and make sure their chest is rising. Then, repeat the compressions, followed by two more breaths. Repeat the cycle five times, or, two minutes of CPR, and check the pulse again. Keep doing it until the EMTs arrive."

The class lasted for two hours and we even practiced the procesure multiple times on dummies. There was also a test. We also learnt how to perform the procedure on a baby and how to perform the heimlich maneuver.

At the end of it, all twenty of us were trained enough to save a person in emergency.

"I am here! And the reason for that is... your 'Basic Hero Training'! It's been a while young boys and girls! How's everyone?!"

We were certainly not impressed...

"Not much of an entrance."

"I'd expect more after a break."

"He's getting old."

"Maybe he ran out of shticks?"

I had a hard time controlling my laughter when I looked at All Might's face that clearly was saying, 'Run out? Never! My supply of shticks is inexhaustible!' and 'I'm not that old!!'

Clearing his throat, All Might said, "As an immediate follow-up to your internships, today's activity is a playful one. A rescue-training race!!"

After he explained the rules, Midoriya was chosen to go first along with Sero, Ashido, Ojiro and Iida.

"Alright group one, on your marks! START!!!"

Midoriya performed well in the beginning, but, he slipped and fell from the pipes and ended up coming last.

When it was my turn, I used supersonic and got the entire map of the training area in my mind. It was easy pickings after that.

Anyway, we have reached thirty four chapters!! I know that most of you hated the MC for his choices and actions and many may have even stopped reading the story altogether because of it.
