A Magical Pearl
"Serenity."
"Serenity." The mysterious woman's calling Serenity's name again.
She tried to open her eyes and failed before realizing they were already open. Most night skies were the darkest of greys, but this one was pure black.
She looked around but she couldn't see anything except for the glowing pearl.
"Serenity, that pearl is for you." The mysterious woman said.
The pearl has a unique color, true blue pearls, naturally, blue-colored pearls come in an astonishing array of hues from pastel blue sky to dark midnight blue, a fascinating assortment of overtones in between.
"For me? Why? Why are you doing this to me? I don't even know you." Serenity curiously said.
"You know me... And you want to be a human right??" The woman asked Serenity while looking at her with a smile on her face.
"The light that will guide you on your darkest nights
Aware of the untapped power of its luminous glow."
"I'm Pos—."
"HEY SERENITY! YOU'RE LIKE THAT AGAIN! TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING TO YOU?!"
'Oh! Is that a dream? Uh, now I'm having dreams of that woman. I started to swim to watch people again so that my mind will be occupied.'
"Serenity, wait, you dropped this thing." Calypso handed Serenity the pearl she just saw earlier.
'What's this pearl doing here? So I wasn't dreaming earlier? But how did that happen?'
"You're heading the wrong way," Calypso said.
"No, I'm not, I'm going somewhere else." And then Serenity started to swim again.
"YOU! WHO'S ALWAYS CALLING MY NAME! AND THE ONE WHO GAVE ME THIS PEARL! CAN YOU PLEASE COME OUT?! I NEED TO TALK TO YOU." She's been screaming a lot of time but still, the woman's not showing up.
"That pearl..." Serenity looks around, finding that woman.
"This pearl is what? Where are you??" Serenity asked.
Serenity was statued when she felt like someone touched her face and then suddenly the woman's right in front of her.
"You want to know my name and the pearl, right?" Serenity's still in shock because of what happened in just a short time.
"The pearl that you're holding..." The woman turned her gaze to Serenity's tail. "Can turn your tail into legs."
"W-what? How?" The woman plastered a smile on her face and then suddenly vanished.
"Argh." Serenity disappointedly said.
'This pearl... can turn my tail into legs?? But how? It's just unbelievable.'
"Can you really do that, pearl?" Serenity asked while looking at the pearl in her hands.
"Hmm... I guess so, I'll wait for that woman to show up again."
It's getting pretty dark again. Serenity swam upwards so that she'll see the beautiful moon again but she watched the moon behind a big rock so that no people could see her.
'Why is the pearl glowing?'
"I-it looks like the moon." She surprisingly said.
"H-hey stop glowing, it's really dangerous you know." She breathed a sigh of relief when it suddenly stopped glowing. Serenity raised the pearl and compared it to the beautiful moon.
"Hmm... You know what pearl? I'm really glad that I know that you can turn my tail into legs but still, I'm not sure if it's true."
"You know why? Because that's my dream, I want to have legs."
"WAIT WAIT! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!"
Serenity decided to head back to Anthemoesia because the waves are crashing violently against rocky shorelines.
"Why are you suddenly glowing right now?" Serenity swam faster because of the dangerous waves. She suddenly fainted when her head hit the rock but she still held on tightly to the pearl.

Zephyr found himself walking down the ocean to where he saw Serenity the night before. His eyes widened when he saw Serenity lying on the shore naked.
"W-what happened to her?" He quickly took off his jacket and placed it on Serenity's body to cover it.
"Argh, my head hurts." Serenity opened her eyes and saw the pale crescent moon's like a silvery claw in the night sky that shone her eyes. A group of stars with lazy eyes scattered around the moon.
Serenity looks at the jacket that was on her body then looks at Zephyr curiously. "What is this?" She asked.
"A-ah, glad you're awake. That's my jacket." Serenity backed away and was so shocked to see that she had legs.
'Did I turn into a human? How did that happen? So it's true, that pearl can turn my tail into legs but how?'
"Hey," Zephyr said while laughing.
'The pearl is missing.'
"Where is it?" Serenity asked.
"What's the problem?" Serenity tried to stand up, but she's still not used to having legs so that's the reason why she stumbled and fell to the ground.
"Hey, are you fine?" Zephyr asked.
"No, I'm not." Zephyr laughed at Serenity's answer. He turned his gaze on Serenity's head and noticed that it was bleeding because Serenity's head hit on the rock earlier while she's on the ocean.
"Hey wait, don't move, your head's bleeding," Zephyr said while looking at Serenity worriedly.
"My head's what—?" Serenity asked but she didn't finish what she's going to say and collapsed.

"Serenity, you can use the pearl to turn you into a human and back into a siren again." The mysterious woman said.
"But you mustn't wish for anything else because if you do you'll vanish forever." She said but soon after she's gone again.
'My head hurts.'
"Oh, you're awake. I'm going outside, wear this dress." Then Zephyr handed Serenity the dress.
"What's this? Wear it? But how?"
"Hey, I don't know how!" Serenity shouted.
"W-what? W-well I can't help you with that." He nervously said.
"Maybe this is right?" Serenity suddenly saw the reflection of herself.
"What's this? So this is what I look like." She's amazed seeing herself in the mirror, she didn't expect what she was seeing.
"Are you done?" Serenity suddenly saw a reflection of a man behind her.
"My pearl... Did you find my pearl?" She asked.
"No, we'll find it right now so let's go." Zephyr took Serenity's hand and started walking but he stopped when he noticed that Serenity's still not moving from where she was standing. She's not still not used to being a human and having legs.
"Are you okay?" Serenity nodded in response and stepped forward.
'I need to find that pearl soon, it can't be lost.'
When they stepped out of the little house that Zephyr built to escape his home, Serenity's startled by what she saw. The night is deep, the luminous moon is dotted with the dark blue night sky. The waves leisurely lapped at the shore, a tangle of navy and royal blue glistening in the darkness.
The sound of the waves hitting the rocks sounded almost like a lullaby. She can almost see the reflection of the moon in the ocean. It was as if she was watching a magical scene from stepping off the page and she was beguiled by its beauty.
'Humans are really lucky, they can always see this every night.'
Serenity closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath of fresh ocean air as a small breeze blew by her face that tickled her nose.
"Is this the pearl that you're looking for?" She opened her eyes and felt happy to see Zephyr holding the pearl that turned her into a human.
Her body moved spontaneously and later she realized that she's hugging him. Zephyr's heart was pounding harder than ever. He gasped and stepped away, heart pounding. Serenity offered a smile with a red face because of embarrassment. "A-ah I'm sorry, thank you for finding my pearl." Her smile was dry and her teal with a hint of turquoise eyes was sad.
"I-it's fine, wait here I'll do something about this pearl so you'll never lose it again." Serenity nodded in response and walked towards the ocean.
Serenity felt a tingling sensation when a wave of water touched her feet. It was as if the waves touched her soul. She sat on the big rock, where she always hid when she was watching people.
"Serenity is that you?!" She turned her gaze to Calypso.
"Calypso... I have legs now." Serenity twirled around to show Calypso.
"I've been looking for you, I thought something wrong happened to you, thank goodness you're alright." He sighed in relief.
"Oh yeah, how come you're human now?" He asked.
She smiled and answered him. "There's this pearl that can turn me into a human and back into a siren again."
"Pearl?? That pearl that you dropped earlier?" Serenity nodded in response.
"Miss!" She turned around and saw Zephyr holding something.
