Brian looked around with pride. He was in Pennsylvania, a steam train junkyard. The reason being that he realized that he has been becoming stronger with fights meaning he has yet to reach his full strength. He was here to reach that potential. He stood infront of the head of a steam train. He estimated it to be around ten to fifteen tonnes. With a deep breath in, he got hold of it and tried to lift it.
He felt his muscles warm up as his heart started beating faster and faster till he lifted the whole thing up. He started swinging it like a barbell, feeling the warmth in his muscles intensify with each lift. After the hundredth lift, he put it down gently then did a hundred more press ups. When he was done, the warmth in his muscles was gone so he went back to doing some upright row with the head.
Two weeks passed and by then, Brian was lifting sixty something tonnes with much ease. He could not believe just how much potential he had inside of him, it was quite terrifying for a human to be this strong. He had also tried just how much stamina he had as he ran round the junkyard. Two days later he was still running and he still didn't feel tired!
Two months in and he was starting to get quite frightened! Three hundred tonnes in and he still hadn't felt his limit! By then, he had gone through every steam train here and he still hasn't found any that he couldn't lift. Because of this, he decided to go to a car junkyard where there was a crusher. He decided to test just how much force he could lift using it.
It took two weeks to find a decent junkyard with the best car crusher. He paid the operator a thousand dollars, thanks to a street gang he turned in, and the man was more than happy to do it, weird. He stood inside the container as he stretched his arms, waiting for the crushing to begin. Once the crusher got to his palms, he started feeling the force being applied onto his body slowly.
Brian smiled to himself as he pushed against it, garnering more force to be applied. The operator was watching this with his mouth wide open as the gauge slowly rose to one hundred tonnes worth of weight!
"What the bloody hell is he?" the operator asked as the needle was still rising. It soon jumped to two hundred, three hundred, four hundred, six hundred and that was the limit.
"Still alive in there?" he shouted.
"Alive and kicking, thanks," Brian shouted back. "Can't continue?"
"You took everything out of it!" the operator shouted as he lifted it and Brian crawled out. His body was red due to the warmth in his muscles that was slowly residing. The operator came down with a shot gun ready to fire at the slightest provocation.
"You must be one of those muties is keep hearing about!" he said as he aimed the shotgun at his head. Brian became nervous as he stared at the muzzle.
"I am not a mutant, I am an enhanced!" he said.
"Enhanced? What bullshit is that? I have seen your strength and I say you are a mutant. Stay right there while I call the Sentinel Services," the man said. Brian suddenly moved, his speed too fast for the man as he got hold of the muzzle and was about to yank the gun away but the man pulled the trigger, shooting him right on the face. Brian expected to see nothing but darkness but a second later, he realized he saw just well! He touched his face and realized he wasn't even bleeding let alone feel any pain. Quite excited, he let go of the gun, took two steps backwards, a silly grin on his face.
"Shoot me again, anywhere!" he told the man with much enthuthiasm. The man didn't need to be told twice so he unloaded she'll after she'll on his face till he was out. Brian looked around as he laughed nervously, only to realize his clothes were full of holes but not his body. "This is very amazing!" He laughed, touching his body then suddenly looked at the man with a scary grim look. "You tried to kill me, you asshole!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" the man cried out in terror, going to his knees, hands above his head, elbows hiding his face. Brian got hold of him with one hand and threw him into his house eighty metres away quite effortlessly. That done, he walked away from there. He took a bus back to New York, ready for his superhero life with a new fevor. By now, he had realised that he was not like Captain America, at all. The man was not as fast as him, strong as him, could not jump as far as him and was definitely not bullet proof! That begged the question, what the hell was it that he drunk that day?
He spent the drive to New York contemplating this. He came up with a theory that it might be some new thing that was supposed to enhance a human, possibly a soldier. He knew that governments around the world had tried to make the super soldier serum to the best of their abilities but they weren't successful. They must have thought this was a failure too so they discarded it, only for it to land in the hands of a drug junkie who is using it to fight crime. He chuckled a little when he thought of their faces when they realized their supposed failed product wasn't that and was actually quite powerful!
"Last stop, New York downtown!" the driver yelled, bringing him out of his stupor. He looked around and he can honestly say he did not miss this city.
"What's that?" a passenger asked as she pointed at something in the air. Brian looked out too and with his amazing eyesight, he saw it was a man on fire hurtling towards the road.
"Why is there a burning man in New York? It didn't have one," Brian asked himself. He then saw something behind him and his eyes grew wide in surprise.
"Everyone get out of the bus!" he shouted, making everyone start panicking. The driver tried to calm them down but seeing the burning man coming towards them made him scramble out too. Brian was the last out after carrying a sickly old woman onto her wheelchair. By then, the burningan was near to touch down. Brian got hold of the bus with one hand and threw it at him. The burning man's eyes widened when he saw the bus coming towards him like a meteor, making him barrel out of the way, the bus missing him by a breadth of a hair. But, the missile behind him was not quite slithe as it hit the bus and exploded, sending the burning man truly hurtling to the ground. When he got up, the fire was gone, showing a muscular, blonde man who was still smoking.
"Who the hell chucked a bus at me?" he asked as he looked around, where he saw Brian looking at him with a frown. "Was that you, big guy?" Due to the exercise he had been doing for two months and two weeks had been showed by his body bulking up.
"You led a missile to a busy road!" Brian condemned him.
"Sorry, I was trying to not get blown up, wasn't thinking straight.y name's Johnny Storm, member of the Fantastic Four," the man introduced himself.
"Fantastic Four? Who are you?"
"Guess you are new in New York. We own the Baxter Industries in Manhattan. Reed Richards is our lead scientist. We came back from a place where we got our powers from, we have been famous for the past two months!" Johnny explained. Brian was about to answer back when he heard an explosion from far away.
"Hold that thought," he said then jumped away, covering a mile with a bound. Johnny was left flabbergasted by this.
"Holy shit! This guy's awesome! Flame On!" he shouted then flew after him. He thought he could catch up but Brian was just too fast. He arrived at the scene of the explosion where he saw a rubber man, a stone man and a woman generating a forcefield fighting a man who was covered with a metallic armor shooting electricity out of his hands.
"Sis! Reed! Ben! Who the hell is that?" Johnny arrived and saw the scene.
"Welcome back, quite disappointed the heat seeking missiles didn't do their job. But, I guess I am more than enough," the lightning metal man said as he shot electricity at the stone man, wrapping him with it then waved towards Johnny, sending the stone man towards him. Johnny prepared himself for he couldn't let his friend hit the ground with that kind of speed but Brain got in the way, got hold of the stone man, did a spin and threw him back at the electricity man who never saw that coming in a million years. The stone man smashed into the man, letting out a scream of pain as blood sputtered all over! Brian landed and looked at the scene with surprise. He had forgotten about his increase in strength and he hoped thean hadn't died. He ran over, threw the stone man away, but gently and what he saw beneath him was going to haunt him for a while. The smashed man was, well, smashed to nothing, only his metal armor remained. Brian scrambled backwards in fright when he saw this.
"I didn't mean to do that!" he told the others before leaping away, leaving behind him a scene of blood spluttered all over the road.
