Chapter 7 | The Gifted Cave, Honor The Fallen

"What is this" Atom said as he stared at the door." a giant door, maybe to some kind of bunker that was built before the nuclear war" I replied.

"Help me push it open."

"Are you sure we don't know what could be in there?"

"Yeah, it's worth the risk there could be weapons in there that could help us in case we have to fight The grounders."

Atom nodded in agreement, and together we began to examine the door. It was old and rusted, but surprisingly sturdy.

We searched for any signs of a lock or keyhole, but there didn't appear to be any.

"I don't think we're going to be able to pick the lock," Atom said.

"I have an idea," I replied, "Let's try pushing it open together."

We both positioned ourselves on either side of the door and braced ourselves. With all our strength, we pushed against the heavy metal door. At first, it didn't budge, but then with a loud creak, it slowly began to open.

A rush of stale, musty air hit us as the door revealed a dark, cavernous space beyond. We cautiously stepped inside, our eyes adjusting to the dim light. The room was filled with rows upon rows of shelves, lined with various supplies and equipment.

As we explored further, we found crates of ammunition, medical supplies, and even a cache of weapons. We couldn't believe our luck. This was exactly what we needed to defend ourselves on the ground.

Excited and grateful, we began to load up on supplies, making sure to take only what we needed.

As we left the bunker, with two backpacks full of supplies, we knew that we had made the right decision in opening that door. We had taken a risk, but it had paid off. We had found a valuable resource that could make all the difference in our fight for survival.

And there were more weapons in there we just couldn't take them all.

"We have to tell the group about our discovery so we can go get the rest of the weapons."

[A/N yes Atom's not dead, surprise surprise hahaha. but someone else is going to die. You don't change the events of a world without consequences.]

As we walked back to the camp the next day.

A sudden scream halted our steps.

we exchanged worried glances and quickly scanned our surroundings for the source of the scream. With our senses on high alert, we cautiously proceeded toward the origin of the sound, ready for anything that might come our way.

When we approached the destination of the scream, we saw Bellamy looking over two bodies. they had bumps all over their skin it was a harrowing sight to see.

"Mmm it seems me saving atom has changed some events and instead of him dying Pascal and Trina died, it seems I cannot trust my knowledge of the 100 anymore, I need to make them strong." I thought.

"The acid fog must have got them before they could take any shelter," I said.

It's my fault," Bellamy's voice was barely above a whisper, filled with self-blame and regret. "I left them behind."

"No Bellamy it's not your fault, we were all caught off guard when the yellow fog came, the only thing we can do now is give them a proper burial." I comforted Bellamy.

"I heard screams," Clarke said as she approached us, when she saw the dead bodies she was petrified.

"Charlotte found them, I sent her back to camp before you guys arrived. let's go back to camp."

"Help me pick them up," Bellamy said. We both nodded in agreement and approached the bodies, careful not to touch them directly. We carefully wrapped them in blankets and carried them back to camp, where we dug graves and said our goodbyes.

As we stood there, saying our final farewells, I couldn't help but think about how fragile life was in this world. The slightest misstep, the smallest mistake could mean the difference between life and death.

We needed to be more careful, and more vigilant if we were going to survive in this harsh environment.

But we also needed to be strong, to be able to face whatever challenges lay ahead of us.

"We need to start training," I said, breaking the silence that had descended upon us. "We need to be prepared for whatever comes our way."

The others nodded in agreement, and we spent the rest of the day discussing our plans for the future. We knew that we couldn't change the past, but we could shape our future. And we were determined to make it a good one, no matter what it took.

As the sun began to set, we said our final goodbyes to Pascal and Trina and made our way back to camp. We had a lot of work to do, but we were ready for the challenge. we were going to survive.
