Payback?

After teleporting back into my home. I get into a shop and buy myself a strong bow and 10 alloy arrows. I decided to use a bow because I can't really fight near a beast. It would've best If I just cover fired from behind. After spending 10 million dollars on these items, I returned to the steel armour shelter.

My daily routine was almost same for a week. I killed some primitive creatures and sell them in the market doing nothing but this for a week. After doing this repeatedly, I stopped selling the meat or the people in the shelter must've been suspicious of me. Even though I can go and hunt with my Blood Slayer Devil Soul. I didn't do it because I wanted to practice my bow skills before going on a next hunt.

After a week, my weekly quest updated. It was somewhat easier this time.

Weekly Quest - kill a total of 30 mutant creatures with your Devil Souls.

Weekly Quest reward - two sacred Geno points.

"I guess I can give it a go."

From the past week, I was observing Han Sen. He came between a time gap of two days. It must've the time where his Copper Toothed beast will grow into a mutant blood.

"So only 3-4 days are remaining? After that he will ask Su Xiaoqiao to buy his mutant blood copper-toothed meat jerky.

"Anyways, I still have 3 more days, in the remaining time, I should try to complete my quest." I thought to myself.

After going to the same location where I found the sacred-blood Copper Toothed beast. I called for my Bloody Slayer and mounted it. Upon traveling a bit deeper. I found a wierd creature. It was as small as a mouse in size. Had a head of squirrel, body of mouse and legs of frog. What a weird combination.

After striking an arrow towards its direction, it didn't even dodge. Upon impact, only a friction was created and the little creature fliched a little.

"Another Sacred-blood? Or is it a mutant this time? After commanding the Bloody Slayer to kill it, Bloody Slayer made a heavy attack on its body with his sacred gear. Leaving a deep cut on its body. After receiving that hit, even the little creature was shocked and tried to jump away from there still half injured.

It seemed like any beast wasn't able to tell if the Bloody Slayer was powerful or not, if it was still a beast, mutant creatures wouldn't even dare to come near him. That little creature was so fast in speed but still fall behind the speed of a sacred-blood.

Upon making another Slash on it's body. The beast was almost spluttered in two parts.

"Mutant-blood leapfrog squirrel killed. No beast soul gained. Eat it's flesh to gain zero to ten Geno points randomly."

"Seriously? Beasts as small as this are also mutant nowadays?." I said and hided for the time being.

10 minutes later another frog beast came there. Just when he saw the body of his it's kin lying on the ground, a clean Slash split it apart too, killing it on the spot.

"Mutant-blood leapfrog squirrel killed. Beast soul of leapfrog squirrel gained. Eat it's flesh to gain zero to ten Geno points randomly."

"Getting it's beast soul on the second kill? Nice. Let's check it out."

Upon checking it's description, I was almost disappointed like someone stole my mutant-blood meat from me. It was a pet Devil Soul. Hilarious...

After killing a few of them, I was able to asses their overall combat ability. They were able to jump very high and thier two teeths in front were their weapon to attack. Bloody Slayer also got injured while trying to kill them. So I had recalled it. After packing up the meat I returned to the shelter, which almost taken me 3 hours to reach without Bloody Slayer."

On my way to the shelter, I stumbled upon Su Xiaoqiao. He looked so pale as if he hasn't eaten anything for days.

"Hey brother Xiao, Did you find dollar? I asked Xiaoqiao to which he said no.

Upon talking further, I was able to know that Qin Xuan was pressuring Xiaoqiao to find dollar before the people's from other gang do.

"Anyways brother, I have a deal for you. How about buying some mutant meat from me? I asked him while showing him one of my leapfrog squirrel dead body.

"Brother, are you joking around? This small beast is a mutant blood creat-" before Xiaoqiao was able to finish his sentence I stuffed his mouth with the dead beast forcefully.

"F*#k, it really is a mutant beast. Do you have some more?" He asked while eating the dead beast meat raw, it was actually spiced so it didn't tasted that bad.

1 million levo dollars for each body, I had 5 spare so I will sell you them for 5 million fix. To that he agreed so fast.

"Seems like rich people don't really have to worry about money. After telling him my bank ACC, I handed over 5 piece of mutant meat to him.

After selling him the leftovers, I bought back my remaining mutant meat and started to cook it.

These beasts didn't really have any combat ability, so I didn't extracted their Devil Soul.

"Flesh of mutant-blood leapfrog squirrel eaten. One mutant Geno point gained.

After receiving this notification in my head for a few times, I was able to get my mutant Geno points to 6.

3 days later...

"Today's the day when Han Sen should be entering Barathrum Cave and will sweep all the quartz scorpion in a single day. I should prepare to get their Devil Souls." I said while laughing in a wicked tone.

In these three days, my status got much higher than the previous times.

I was able to complete my quest and got 2 sacred Geno points, there was no notification for it and whatsoever but I still got them. As for the leapfrog squirrel, after eating it again and again, it also stopped giving me any mutant Geno point.

After reaching the Barathrum Cave. I found a safe spot and wore my Primitive Black turtle Armour, because that's the only good beast soul I got till now. I didn't summon my Bloody Slayer this time. I knew that I was taking a huge risk going alone, but I still did it anyways.

"It's so dark here." I thought while walking deeper.

Suddenly, something touched my feet, upon closer inspection it seemed like a Quartz Scorpion, good thing was that it wasn't moving at all. so Han Sen was probably still here. I had made some preparations to collect there Devil Souls before coming here.

I had disintegrated some of my Swift Mantises Devil Soul's to make some space in my Deck. Even though it's quite short, I can't actually do anything about it. After walking deeper, I was able to completely fill my Devil's Soul's capacity. Seemed like Han Sen left some of his kills there, I stuffed them in my inventory.

Just when I was walking even deeper into the cave, I saw shadows of two people coming towards my direction. I had my Beast soul armour with me at that time. So I really wasn't afraid of my identity getting leaked, it wasn't that powerful though.

"No way, Dollar and Qin Xuan? What a hilarious spectacle to see." I exclaimed while staring on both of them.

"It's not like that, and I'm warning you. If a word got in the shelter about this. Consider yourself dead then." Qin Xuan exclaimed back while Dollar was just staring at me.

"Why should I? It's such a nice story to tell my friends." I said which annoyed Qin Xuan the most.

"I'm just kidding, if a word got out about this, Son of Heaven might really kill me and dollar." I shrugged off.

"Don't worry guys, it's not like I'm here to fight both of you. I was just strolling around." I said walking past behind them.

"Woah, Did both of you killed all of these?" I asked them both. To which a response never came.

"I see, as heartless as ever. Anyways, Do you wanna trade your shape-shifting beast soul?" I asked Han Sen.

"No way." He said and started to walk towards the exit with Qin Xuan on her back without even waiting for a reply.

"So cold." I said to myself and returned to the entrance.

"Anyways, Qin Xuan. I wanna trade some mutant creature meat with you. Want some?" After hearing my sentence, even Han Sen paused who was going on his way.

"Mutant-blood meat! How many do you have?" Han Sen and Qin Xuan both asked me quickly at the same time.

"Chill guys. I have 4 peice of mutant meat jerky. I said while putting out the meat from my storage space.

I already knew it that if I use my inventory in front of Qin Xuan, then she would've surely know my identity, considering I used it in front of her before. So I tweaked my inventory skill a little and now I don't have to put my hands in the inventory to take out an item from it. Just saying the item name was enough for the item to appear in my hands. And to stuff an item, I had to hold it in my hand, or just a touch was enough for it to disappear.

"Your beast soul seems familiar" Qin Xuan said with an expression like she was trying to remember something to which I replied quickly.

"It's a sacred-blood beast soul which can store an infinite amount of creatures after all." A sacred-blood beast soul!. Qin Xuan exclaimed surprisingly.

"Anyways, I'm not planning to sell it or something. Just getting onto the point, I want to trade these 4 meat jerky with both of you.

How about 2 million each?" I asked them.

Qin Xuan confirmed the deal but Dollar didn't. I just gave Qin Xuan two pieces while giving a single piece to Han Sen and claiming one for myself.

"Don't worry guys, it's not poisoned or anything." I said while chewing my meat jerky which increased my mutant point by 1.

"And brother dollar, just take it as a favour from me, I know about you family problems after all. I said the last part in a very low voice.

While all of this was happening, Qin Xuan looked at me like I just committed a great crime by giving the meat to him for free to which, I just shrugged off and left after receiving my money in cash.

After teleporting back to my home. I set off to buy something to eat for myself. On my way to the store, I saw Han Sen with his mother and sister. Trying to get in a line for the sapphire ice cream. I almost forgot that Han Sen also lives in Safe Haven city, our meeting was anything but a play of fate.

"I saw him but didn't said anything to him and get away from there. After buying myself a pair daily necessities items I put them in my apartment. I had buyed a pair of everything so I putted the remaining items in my inventory, which was still so far from being full.

On the next day, I got onto the public teleportation station and get into it. Traveling, I saw Han Sen and Qin Xuan standing in the train. I remembered the moment where he will fall onto Qin Xuan so, so I decided to help him by catching him before he fell down. Suddenly, a violent shake of the train left everyone everyone who was standing falling to the sides.

I was so lost in thinking from which angle to help him that I too fell to the sides, all I saw at that time was Han Sen grabbing Qin Xuan chest, which obviously earned him a good punch from her. After cursing Han Sen for a while, Qin Xuan calmed down and stand there looking at Han Sen with disgust in her eyes. Poor guy, to think his life is this hard in the First God's Sanctuary...

After reaching the shelter I saw Han Sen and Qin Xuan arguing over something. But I just slipped from there as I couldn't have done anything even if I wanted to.

In my room I was looking at the sacred-blood creature dead body, It was the copper-toothed beast that I had killed before. I had almost forgot about it and just remembered it after checking my sacred Geno points tally. After drying it's meat, I made it's meat as jerky because that's the only the I know how to make. Soup was a must so I prepared some for myself at that time.

"Flesh of copper-toothed beast eaten. One sacred Geno points gained.

After drinking it's soup my Geno points increased by 1. I didn't ate the meat jerky I had prepared at that time because I was full at that moment.

"Looks like I would have to get Jades and Force too. I thought after looking at my full stomach.

After going on an hunt with Bloody Slayer for the iron-toothed crocodiles, I was able to kill a few mutant crocodiles and made them jerky too. After all, that's the only thing I know how to make.

After a day ahd passed I was still in the shelter eating my remaining sacred-blood jerky. Just when I was traveling to the hunting area again, Someone called for me.

"Hey you, come here." Luo Tianyang said in boorish manner.

"Are you talking to me brother? I'm just a newbie though, I don't think I will be able to help you at all." I Said while trying to get away from there.

"If I said you to come here, then you should come. And who are you trying to fool? Everyone in the shelter knows that you are the only guy who sells mutant meat so often" Luo Tianyang said in a threatening manner.

"You must've more mutant meat. Give it to me fast." He said with a glare in his eyes, to which I just shrugged off and said that I don't have anymore mutant meat left on me.

He wasn't able to confirm it either so I just walked away from there after agreeing to go into the raid.

They were planning to hunt a sacred-blood creature but the fact wasn't made public till that moment. They only said that they were gonna kill a mutant beast. To me, it almost seemed that the only thing they were recruiting were cannon fodders.

A week had almost passed since I had came here. Our group continued to walk straight for 6-7 days, on the 8 day, we halted around a mountain pass. After spending a day there, our group hiked the mountain reaching a gap in the canyon, it was so dark that nothing was visible there. After everybody lit their torches. Son of heaven's group asked the recruited people to be the vanguard. I knew it that we were just Cannon fodders but I can't just do anything about it like summoning my Bloody Slayer Devil Soul. It would be killed and will have an hour long cooldown time.

After reaching the destination. There was a huge river so the thugs gang revealed their inflatable boats. After inflating them, recruited people was asked to row them to the other side of the river.

I was just waiting for this opportunity, I had been standing besides Han Sen all this time, so when they asked us to row a boat, I got into the same boat as Han Sen.

Suddenly, a huge snake emerged from the water and swallowed a recruit whole. The snake was as big as a tree, swallowing humans like they were cows.

In just a moment, fear had taken control of all of our bodies, unable to face it some people tried to run back, only to be killed by Luo Tianyang. Just as we were rowing our boat, another boat near us got flipped. Almost paralyzing the person that had gotten on us with our boat.

"Shut the f*#k up. Wake up bro, it's not the time to daydream." I said angrily to which he came back to his senses and started to row the boat. Suddenly, I saw Han Sen jumping in the river, without wasting any time I also followed him into the water. Soon enough, the boat on which I was traveling also flipped like others. I quickly summoned my mutant iron-toothed crocodile Devil Soul and wore my Primitive Black turtle armour.

After hopping on its back, I commanded it to go back to the shore of river while the snake was still busy flipping some boats. After reaching there, I saw dollar hiding behind a rock.

"Dollar? You are also here?" I said while glaring at Han Sen.

"I'm here to payback Son of Heaven for something, he said while looking at me like I was a suspicious person.

"You know what? You are the most wanted person in the whole steel armour shelter now, but nevermind that, it seems like we are on the same boat. After saying the latter part, someone came there holding two eggs in his hands. Almost recognising him, I thought of my crescent spear, and made a hole on his shoulder. While Dollar punched his face and snatched the two eggs that he was holding.

"Ahh, fuck you both bitches, you both are so fucked!" Son of Heaven cried in agony.

"Quickly throw one egg at him, and run as fast as you can with the remaining one. Quick!" I said dollar to hurry up and he did as what I told him to.

After running from the cave as fast as I can, we were able to get out out from there. On finding a safe place, I saw Han Sen glaring at me once again.

"Chill brother, it's not like I'm trying to get this egg from you." I said with a smile on my face which wasn't visible due to my armour.

"How can I believe you? Do you have something to prove that you don't have any malice towards me? He asked staring at me suspiciously.

"Nah, brother. If I wanted to, I would've made a mess of you plans. But I still didn't because you and I are surely in the same boat. And you don't have to give me anything, because I had gotten the thing for what I came here...
