"A vacation?" Jack's boss, Chris, asked with a hint of skepticism. "Are you sure?"

"The mental stress has been too great. And suppose I don't take a break. In that case, I'm afraid I'll develop some kind of mental illness," Jack explained, trying to sound as serious as possible.

Chris looked confused. "Mental stress? Are you talking about the incident with those five female colleagues at headquarters? Or that time you used a drug lord's money to stay in the top hotel in Dubai for a month?"

Jack's face turned red with embarrassment. "Um, it's a combination of all those things..."

Chris shook his head helplessly. "Jack, I don't know what you're planning to do next, but please try to restrain yourself. I don't want to see you crossing any lines and ending up in jail."

Jack raised his eyebrows confidently. "Don't worry, I've got everything under control. And even if I did something illegal, who could possibly catch me?"

Chris leaned in closer and whispered, "I heard you slept with a beautiful FBI agent last time. How did that go?"

Jack thought for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure which one you're talking about."

With his intelligence and physical fitness, Jack had already accomplished quite a lot in the spy world, such as capturing evidence against a notorious drug lord. But as for why he did the strange and reckless things that Chris found so concerning, it was simply because he found the "gray income" was receiving too restrictive. He needed an outlet to vent his frustration.

For example, when he took money from a drug lord, he made sure to arrest him soon after, so the drug lord wouldn't suspect a thing. But unfortunately, the system said that Jack had breached the contract with the drug lord, so the money he got couldn't be counted as experience points. Jack was furious. So, he took the money to Dubai for a luxurious vacation as revenge.

Jack continued experimenting with different methods but found that even if the income was "gray," it still had to be obtained ethically. He couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment. But the system, in Jack's opinion, was a heartless and senseless entity, so his rhetoric didn't work on it.

Jack couldn't shake off the disappointment, but he continued experimenting. He brought along a team in one operation, then deliberately let the drug lord run away, hoping his team would catch him. However, things didn't go as planned. His team members didn't react at all as the drug lord escaped. Jack had no choice but to arrest the drug lord himself again.

Afterward, when Jack questioned the team members, he was told, "You are the famous Jack. I can rest assured that you have your reasons for doing things, and I just need to follow your thoughts and actions. No questions asked!" Jack was left speechless.

He soon realized that this approach wouldn't work. He couldn't tell others that he would let the drug lords go and then let them catch him. Otherwise, this would also be invalidated. He couldn't risk it.

He also realized that most team members would mistakenly think his actions had "deep meaning," like the previous team, and would not arrest people. Even if they did, it would only be possible with Jack's help. If Jack got involved, it would cause a "breach of contract" and make gray income invalid.

So, Jack decided to give up on the team and returned to solo mode. He knew that such small-scale operations wouldn't be enough. He had to be involved in big events like the nuclear bomb crisis or the list leak.

He would make a deal with the protagonist or the villain and get huge gray income from it! With the ability of the protagonist, according to the original plot, he could get things back in the end. If he participated in and cooperated as an internal response, wouldn't it be easier?

He looked at his interface. The auto mechanic interface has ten points of experience, which Jack earned when he had to play the role of an auto mechanic in some missions. There were no big opportunities later on, so there was no big change.

And the IRS staff interface——

Jack, who successfully got the vacation, plans to start his own plan. Over the past year, he has successfully made his network of relationships. As long as a person is willing to spend money, among other things, he will definitely have a lot of "friends." As for reliability, as long as there is money, it is very reliable!

Jack made some such "friends" by spending money and using force to a certain extent, mainly intending to gain useful information from them. For example, now -

"I found you..." Jack grinned as he looked at an email he had received on the computer, "Ethan Hunt!"

[ The capital of the Czech Republic - Prague ]

Jack, dressed in a sharp suit, strode into the Czech Republic consulate with confidence and poise. But his true identity was far from what it seemed - he had attacked a member who participated in a recent banquet and used a special machine to create a disguise, complete with a false voice device.

But where did these machines come from, you might ask? Let's say that the CIA and IRS have a friendly exchange program. The IRS secret service department is not one to be underestimated. In fact, they're constantly striving to be even stronger than the CIA. Some of the equipment on Jack's person was not even available to the CIA or was even more advanced.

As he mingled amongst the crowd, sipping on a glass of wine, he couldn't help but overhear a conversation between a gray-haired senator and the deputy director of the consulate. "Senator, what do you think of p*rnhub?" the deputy director asked. The senator thought briefly before responding, "Hmm... very interesting."

Jack had learned to lower his hearing slightly in his line of work to avoid unnecessary and chaotic noise, in this case, well, you know. His enhanced brain power allowed him to process information quickly, but he was too lazy to deal with it.

He just came to confirm Brother Cruise (cough). Is Ethan here to carry out the mission today? As for his own involvement in the mission, that would come later.

Ethan was just an ordinary CIA agent, yet to be at the level where he could lead a team on a mission. But this time, his team leader, Jim, had received a task from his superiors to sneak into the consulate and steal a list of agents named the NOC list. However, Jack knew that the true purpose of this mission was not to steal that list. It was just a decoy.

The real mission was to expose a mole within the team. The CIA found that Ethan and his group had a traitor, and this fake operation was a trap to lure them out. Unfortunately, the traitor was none other than their own team leader, Jim.

Jim was incredibly cunning. Although he didn't know that this action was a trap, he had prepared for it. He faked his own death and that of his wife Claire and orchestrated the deaths of others in the team, leaving only Ethan alive and in the dark.

Ethan was then falsely accused of being a traitor by the CIA. Afterward, Jim then has Claire return to use her charms on Ethan, who has been successfully framed for the murders, as well as being the mole. Ethan concocts a plan to avenge the rest of the team and clear his name by catching the real mole and stopping him.

Jack couldn't help but admire the level of deceit and manipulation Jim had employed. As a human being, it was truly incomprehensible to willingly become a traitor. But he imagined many people would be eager to be friends with such a person.

However, Jack intended to avoid getting involved in this matter. It would not be appropriate to do so directly. He was not a savior, and, given the current situation, he wouldn't be able to save the members of Ethan's team who were about to be killed if he didn't reveal his special abilities.

Moreover, this was an internal matter within the CIA, and he had no intention of getting involved in other people's businesses.
