Chapter 36: Cross the Line

‘’I don’t want to get involved with them, I can’t work with a person I don’t approve of. In the end, it all comes down to principles.’’ Timothy shook his head.

‘’Father, this opportunity will open the gates for us in South America,’’ Theo was getting impatient.

‘’We have our guest of honor and you’re still talking about business!’’ Aunt Rhea cried. Theo and Timothy Montgomery were talking about a company I wasn’t aware of.

‘’It will be the same thing with Glory if we don’t do anything about it, father,’’ Theo sounded anxious and turned to Aunt Rhea. ‘’Put us together in a room and it will always be business,’’ he chuckled.

But I sensed that he wasn’t happy about that fact. I tried to imagine myself in his situation regardless of the mafia part. I wouldn’t want to work with a family member of mine.
