Forgotten Memories part 1

it was midafternoon at Magic School Elizabeth Summers was a first year student and she never really had any friends exept one but she moved two years ago the only other friend she had didn't talk to her he used to be more than a friend he was her first love she met him at Magic Camp but now it seemed that they were distant after Magic Camp ended they went thier separate ways Elizabeth found love with someone else but because of her love for Joseph and her insecurities it didn't last long then she applied for magic school after her parents died she inherited what they had even though it wasn't much it got her in then she found out Joseph went to the same school she tried talking to him getting him to notice her but it always ended the same he was just too busy since he was a fourth year student on his way to graduting and now she wanted nothing more than to forget him so she could move on that's where she was headed now there was a place just off campus where she could get her memories erased but at a cost she tucked her brown hair behind her ear and heard a familiar voice turning her head she saw an all too familiar face looking at her it was Joseph he was talking to his alchemy teacher and had looked her way when he saw her pass by him he gave her a smile those piercing green eyes of his staring into hers she looked down as his teacher was calling his name trying to get his attention she sighed in relief when she finally reached her destination she looked at the sign on the makeshift hut it read Memory Eraser" she waited in line behind a tall black haired man his hair was deshelved and he looked scrawny he turned and looked down at her his scruffy beard as bad as his hair he looked her up and down sizing her up he raised an eyebrow she bowed her head not paying any attention he turned around before muttering something under his breath while she waited she thought about why she was here and if she was sure she wanted to do this she had a lot of good memories with him they never actually broke up but it made it hard when it seemed like he didn't want anything to do with her and it was hard for her to ever have any other relationship because she still loved him so she had made up her mind, snapping out of her thoughts by hearing Mrs Pierce call her name she saw that the last customer was leaving she walked into the makeshift hut and sat down while she waited for Mrs Pierce to read the file of her she looked up at her and raised a grey eyebrow putting the parchment down and pushing her glasses up on her nose she finally spoke "So Ms Summers you want a memory wipe i see have you read the warnings and policies in advance?" Elizabeth bowed her head showing respect to her elder "Yes ma'am all 250 pages" Mrs Pierce raised an eyebrow and went to her desk and pulled out a silver wand she went back to Elizabeth, would you like a short term or full wipe?" Elizabeth lowered her eyes while she thought about it she couldn't handle always thinking about him it hurt her heart she hoped he would forgive her she looked up and made her decision "full wipe please ma'am" the woman nodded and held out her wrinkled hand "that'll cost 20 coins" Elizabeth sighed, that was all she had left she fished in her dress pocket and pulled out the coins she handed them to the woman she closed her wrinkled fingers around it and put it in a silver box on her desk she went back to Elizabeth and placed the wand on her temple, "now choose what memories to be wiped and i shall do it" Elizabeth nodded her head she closed her eyes.

everything seemed to happen in slow motion just then, she opened her eyes when she heard the voice she was trying to forget Joseph was running toward her yelling "NOOOO!" he had tears in his eyes that were flowing behind him like a sprinkler

as he ran she looked at him in shock and confusion as he grabbed her hand pulling her off the chair he didn't stop running when they were a few feet away from the hut he shouted a word and a blueish black portal hole with silver swirling in the middle appeared in front of them he jumped through it pulling Elizabeth along with him as time and space seemed to slow down she thought she was dreaming but when she looked at Joseph his blond hair flowing behind him as well as his blue robe while he seemed to run in slow motion as a cause of the teleport hole they were in she knew she wasn't dreaming.

after some time they fell through it tumbling a few feet into a meadow they rolled until they finally stopped, him landing almost on top of her he shook his hair out of his face and looked her in the eyes unblinking his eyes were filled with sadness and concern it was then she felt bad for what she almost did

"Why lizzy?" he asked her using his special nickname for her "why would you want to forget me? all the memories we shared?" she looked at him confused "all? I only remember a few" that confused him, that cursed witch mustve gotten some magic through before he got her out of there thats why he didn't trust witches and thier use of black magic he placed his fingers on her forehead and said a word, memories of hers flooded in his mind memories of her childhood, her visiting her parents grave, her on her own after that sitting under a tree in the rain while she waited for the bus her hair and her gray cloak getting soaked while she shivered, those werent the memories he was looking for he said a word and the memories but not all flashed in his mind the both of them practicing with their new wands Elizabeth had been knocked back when she accidentally chanted the wrong spell, Joseph had caught her his arm around her waist they looked into each others eyes neither of them breathing thier lips inches apart they looked away blushing when they heard a bird call above them, the next memory was when he walked up behind her with a red rose unintentionally scaring her when she was practising potion making he made her spill her mixture and the glass tube she was using fell on the floor when he bent to pick it up his head ended up inches from hers they could feel each others breath not blinking they looked into each others eyes not knowing what to do thier gaze was broken when they heard her mentor reprimanding her as a mother would scold her child they both blushed and he walked away with his hands in his pockets his earlier plan forgotten, the last memory tore at his heart. it was of Elizabeth with her newfound love Kyle he met her after they went thier separate ways and he was extremely jealous. he cut off the link and did something she wasnt expecting he lowered his head never breaking eye contact she could feel his warm breath on her lips making them dry she licked them to moisten them and before she realized it he kissed her his warm breath mingling with her own his kiss was full of love her mouth savoring his, she had hoped he had kissed her from the very beginning it would have been special if he had during thier dance and Magic Camp swaying slowly in each others arms her head on his shoulder his hair tickling her nose but they both had been too shy now her wish has been fulfilled, he pulled away "you should have known Lizzy, why would you want to forget me? I've always loved you" Elizabeth smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck locking hands and almost knocking him over she kissed him showing how much she still loved him after a few minutes thier kiss was cut short by a nightwings call alerting them that night was coming soon when the moon came up was when unicorns came out of hiding and it was the season for breeding that was when they became overly aggressive and Joseph didn't want either of them in danger.
