Chapter Twenty-Two

She grabbed the hurt hand and he winced in pain.

“You’re not fine Alex. I’ll just put on some compression bandage.”

“That’s not necessary Kim, I said I’m fine.” He insisted stubbornly. He couldn't have a bandage on during the red carpet ceremony. She sighed and put back the first aid box.

He took out his tie and tried knotting it, but it seemed impossible. Without a word, she took the tie from him. She stood on tip toe as she knotted the tie. He looked down at her, staring at her face as she concentrated on the tie. Once she was done, she looked up at him. As if realizing their proximity, her eyes widened in surprise. He stared at her lips, his pulse accelerating. Slowly she removed her hand from the tie. She stepped back from him but he stopped her, pulling her closer to him. She fell on his chest, her eyes even wider than before.

“W-what do you think y-you’re doing?” She stuttered.
