16 Chapter 16 - Love and Highschool
A/N before starting this chapter I'd like to rectify a mistake, a reader brought to my attention that Rias and Co. Went to Kuoh 2 years before canon, not one and that Sona was vice prez of the SC in her 2nd year. I'm correcting that but it won't really affect anything going forward. Now, back to the show.

"My love, we need to talk about something"
'What the fuck?'
Her words just sent me reeling, what guys want to hear those exact same words from their girlfriend?
I took a deep breath.
'Here we go'
"About what, Val?"
{Flashback to Valerie, 5 minutes ago}
(Val's pov)
We had become one, finally.
'It's been the best day of my life, one of more to come, surely'
But I had to tell him now, I had to take it off my chest. He had to know. I had to ask.
I loved Hiro from the bottom of my heart, he meant everything to me and wherever he would go, I would follow. He saved me from my prison and helped me gain the power to save myself. He could be amazing, funny, and scary at times. And don't let me start about the times he enters his mad magician phases.
I knew he loved me, he showed that and proved it plenty of times over the years, everything he's done is because he cares.
But still, I had to ask even though I maybe knew the answer.
What did I have to ask him? It all started with those blasted novels he showed me a couple of years ago and I finally understood why he was so overjoyed in meeting that young master type.
Well, I delved deeper and deeper into the world of novels, then I added other such pieces of entertainment. There, I discovered something.
Harems.
And my boy deserved one, and I wanted one for him.
Why? For one, he's amazing and deserves more, secondly, we are pretty much immortal and it could be fun spending the rest of eternity in a big family. Thirdly, and most importantly for me, I was always alone since Gasper disappeared and I've always wanted more sisters. Thinking back, this is why I might have dressed him in dresses and girly clothes. I loved him as a brother but I've also wanted sisters.
More reasons for the harem plan, then. While Hiro goes on one of his murder or magician sprees, I could always talk and train with my sisters. It would be so much fun.
I woke up from my reverie due to Hiro grabbing my head and kissing me.
"I love you, Valerie"
And my heart just went boom-boom.
"I love you too"
Then I went into thinking.
'It's time to tell him' and I summoned up my courage.
"My love, we need to talk about something"

{End Flashback and back to Hiro}
"About what, Val?"
'Damn, what does she want to talk about, I always dreaded those words in my old life'
"I want you to get a harem"
Shock, I was flabbergasted, both relieved and very very intrigued.
'How has this come about?'
"How did you arrive at this resolution, babe?"
"Before I answer, do you want one, a harem?"
"Is this a trap?"
"No, it's not a trap, Hiro"
*mumble* "that's what they say when it is a trap" *mumble*
*thwack* "take this seriously you adorable moron"
"Well, what kind of man with a healthy sex drive and ability to feel emotions wouldn't want one?" I carefully said, waiting for her retort. I did indeed want a harem but I thought that it can be a very touch-and-go subject with women.
She beamed at my response.
"Good! That's great! Then you're going to have to get one!" She answered, seeming very excited.
"Wait, Valerie, I would understand if I were to ask you about me getting with multiple women, but why are you asking me so directly?" I was really curious as to why.
"Well, you see…."
And then she began her reasoning and my jaw was dropping more and more as her motives went on and on.
'OK, the family and the immortality part I get, but xianxia novels played a big reason too? XIANXIA?! Guess I have something to be thankful for from those murder hobos'
"...so, this is why I want more sisters" She said as she finished telling me everything.
"Val…" I called her as I looked into her wine-red eyes.
"Yes, love?"
"Have I ever told you how adorably crazy you can be sometimes?"
"Hmpf, ring ring, moshi-moshi, this is kettle, pot calling?"
"Hahaha, come here you minx!" I said as I reached for her with grabby hands.
"Nooooo! The big bad man wants to catch me and do big bad things to me!" She quickly got up and ran naked around the room.
"C'mere you little morsel"
"Kyaaa!"
Our fun continued until it was time for lunch.
We sat at the table, enjoying the lunch made by Val, she had long ago taken over food duty because, in her own words: 'You might be a genius at everything else, mister, but Gordon Ramsey you are not'
She was right, of course. I always kinda disliked cooking because I preferred to spend the time it took to cook something to actually eat the cooking. I guess that the cooking mantra hasn't captured my heart yet.
Finishing up the lunch, I cleared the table and did the dishes, Val offered to do so but I denied, it was my rule in all relationships: 'The cook never does the dishes, it's the duty of the eater'
With all that said and done, we lazed around on the couch for a bit and talked about our plans here.
"So, what else can you tell me about the town, anything special? Cause I felt some magical signatures here, devils and some others"
"Right you are babe it's a special place. Let me explain a bit about Japan and Kuoh. As you know, Japan is under the jurisdiction of the Shinto Pantheon with the Youkai acting as 'enforcers'. Well, Kuoh Town is a bit special, the Shinto gave the devil's permission to oversee this territory. They didn't give them full ownership, mind you, just the overseeing rights, you may call it a 'pseudo-devil' territory, as permission can be taken back at any time with some circumstances"
"I understand, but why did the Shinto give Kuoh to the devils to oversee?"
"I don't know, some deal or another, I'm not that versed in their politics"
"Yeah, so who is currently in Kuoh from the devil's side?"
"Well, from what Zaz told me, the main overseers are 2 devil heiresses that came here last year to join highschool"
"Aaand, let me guess, it's the same highschool where we're going, right?"
"On the money"
"So you came here knowing that there are 2 devil princesses?" She asked me with a smirk on her face, guess I got caught.
"Haha, funny thing that. Yes"
"Looks like we were both thinking about this harem plan, no?"
"Yeah"
"You're a dolt and I love you"
"Same here, munchkin"
We passed the remaining days until we were supposed to attend school in what some may call 'marital bliss'. Everything was amazing, we just enjoyed each other and joked around, watched movies, played games, and debated our favorite books and novels.
Those were 'arguments' that usually ended up in both of us 'nuh-uh'-ing each other until we both ended up laughing and making out.

{Timeskip, the first day of school}
"You got everything, dear?"
"Yes, Val, I just need my uniform with my bag and books, not that much to forget"
"Well, it's our first day so YOU mister, need to look perfect. Let me have a look at you"
She looked me over with the eyes of a hawk while adjusting my clothes.
*smooch* "There, you're a perfect pretty boy"
"Gee, thanks ma" *smooch*
"Ara ~ already calling me mommy? Should I call you ~ daddy ~ as well?" She said in a sultry voice.
I looked her in the eyes with seriousness.
"Valerie, that voice is waking something that, if awoken, will make us miss our first day"
"Fiiine, I'll stop"
"No, you won't stop, you will POSTPONE it for when we get back from school"
"Yesss"
With that done, we were ready to go so on we went.
-(A/N up until now I haven't used Japanese honorifics because it didn't make sense for people of other countries to use them, much less someone like Valerie, for example. Maybe the devils have japanofied but I don't think the whole world did)-
We were soon at the school gates with 30 minutes to spare before the first bell. And, then it happened.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaah!"
"Who is he? He is so handsooome!"
"Who is that girl beside him? Is she his girlfriend?"
"Who cares! Look how beautiful she is, I'm in love!"
"With her or with him?"
"BOTH!"
This type of discussion/argument happened all around us, and it was maddening. Just how fucking thirsty were these people?
"W-whats going on?" Asked Val worriedly.
"Thirstiness Val, thirstiness. Just ignore them"
"Wilco"
Ignoring the rolling waves of virgins, we went straight to the school gate, and, man, was this a massive building.
'The anime didn't do it justice'
We walked onward and, there, near the gate, was Sona and an unknown girl, probably the Council Prez.
"Good morning, you two must be the new transfers" greeted the president.
"Good morning, yes we are. I'm Hiro Zeltris and this is Valerie Lewis but please call us by our names, we grew accustomed to it in England" we went for an English surname for Valerie as she was supposed to be someone I met in London and we didn't want to just throw the Tepes name out there.
"Very well, nice to meet you, Hiro-san, Valerie-san, I'm Hisako Kitagawa, the student council president and this is Souna Shitori, the vice president"
"Nice to meet you both" said Valerie with a little bow.
"Welcome to Kuoh highschool. I'm so sorry that I can't accompany you further, I have a meeting to attend. Souna will guide you further" said the prez to us.
"No problem at all"
"If you would, please follow me to finalize the transfer and get your class schedule" said Sona.
"Lead the way, Shitori-san"
"Please, if I'm going to call you by your names, call me Souna"
"Of course, lead the way, Souna-san"
We followed Sona into the school proper, and I had to say, I was amazed by the building and the facilities.
"This is a truly magnificent school, Souna-san" said Valerie, mimicking my inner feelings.
"Thank you, Valerie-san, we like to think that Kuoh High is one of the best-equipped schools in all of Japan"
"Sure seems like it, it looks better than what we had in London" I intervened in their discussion.
"I'm happy to hear that you like it"
We arrived at the council HQ and finished up the whole ordeal of us studying there, we also got our schedules.
"Both of you will be in class 2-A, you can find it on the map, right here"
"Thank you, Souna-san" I winked at her "we're good from here on out. See you around school!"
"See you around!" Val chimed in.
"You're welcome, and yes, see you" with this, she waved us off with a smile.
I had to say, Sona fell into the category of me gusta. I really liked her personality and smarts from the anime and, I have to say, she rocks in the looks department.
'Guess I need to polish the chess memories that I got from that one guy in Russia'
"So" began Valerie in a hushed voice as we went to our class "the council VP is one of the 2 princesses, right?"
"Yeah"
"You got taste, beloved, go for it"
"I have you, and if that isn't a testament to my taste then…"
"Flattery will get you everywhere"
We enjoyed the rest of our walk in silence and then, we finally arrived at the door to class 2-A. I knock on the door
*knock knock*
"Come in" comes a voice from inside.
I open the door for Valerie to enter and follow after her. We enter the class and I cast a quick glance around before we had to talk with the teacher.
There I saw them, a gorgeous redhead and her seductress black-haired friend.
'Things are coming up Hiro' I smiled internally.

A/N
So, we have finally found what Valerie's wanted to talk about.
And yes, it's so fucking stupid that I couldn't help myself. I mean, we've all read about all the reasons MCs need a harem, from the 'I can't satisfy you sexually' reasons to the 'affection locked at 100' reasons.
So I wanted to shake it a bit and what better way than to introduce the reason by slowly corrupting Val with cultivation novels? Let's be serious here, I couldn't find an actual, reasonable way for her to accept a harem so I chose to dive into mega stupid and accept it fully. Weeb-otaku-vamp GF for the win.
On another note, I've finally decided the fate of Issei, he will be shipped to Grigori and we will never hear about him again unless it's for comedic relief or to make fun of him for being unable to do it with Irina.
I already have 2 people in mind to replace Issei in Rias' peerage but if you have suggestions, leave them here.
Also, I didn't kill Issei off because it didn't make sense from a story perspective, as of now, Issei didn't do anything wrong besides being a fucking creep, he's just a kid.
And, Hiro doesn't really care for the boosted gear and neither do I, it's overdone. I want an MC without a Sacred Gear.
