Hades

Lucifer listened intently as his grandson in-law told the tale. It was almost mythical, but he wondered how old Kai was if the dragons were still alive when he was born, suddenly he stopped viewing the man as a kid any longer, he was probably older than his sons, after all, dragons were already extinct when they were born.

He stared at the man's face that had two glowing blue orbs for eyes in the weakly illuminated room, he seemed lost as his lips moved as if recalling a distant memory when he never experienced such. Lucifer felt like helping the man. Although he wasn't done with the tale, he knew the most likely outcome, he was still curious though how they survived without their mother, except ofcourse the woman didn't die and still held on to give her babies a higher chance of survival... And that was what she did.

The endless night was over, the moon faded in the light as the sun rose, bringing a clearer view of the bloody war that happened last night.

Celine woke up to see sunlight peeking from the partly opened door of the room, making it look more life like. She glanced at her belly, it was better than yesterday, the wound was closing bit by bit, and her babies were still breathing. The other wounds in her body had long healed but struggled to stand up. She was feeling intense hunger as her stomach churned in emptiness, making her way to the door, she opened it and took in the sight before her.

Countless bodies... No, there weren't even whole to be called one, were littered across the stained red ground that went as far as the eyes could see. The sun rays heated the dead bodies and poodles of blood, making the air musty, the odor, terrible. Celine brought her hands to her nose as she stood near the alters, her eyes gleamed with pain as a harsh truth settled in... It seemed none of the warriors survived, even worse, the gods didn't seem to weaken as she could feel their heavy gaze and hatred directed towards her. Good thing they couldn't do anything though... She would have been struck down by a powerful lightning wondering why she died.

"Who's there!?" Suddenly the pale woman was alert when she heard a strange whisper, she was safe from the gods, but mortals could be equally dangerous.

She looked around as she held her belly in a protective stance, the air became chilling cold... Some particles seemed to freeze in the air.

Celine was ready to unleash her might at anything that posed danger to her or her babies, the protective nature of a mother and the frustration and hunger made her especially aggressive. She was by no means weak even though she was at her weakest... She was still royalty, and one would think twice before messing with royalties.

Royalties were the strongest of the strong, the elite among elites. They were born talented and full of power from birth and could beat a full grown man if not careful. But that didn't scare the person as she heard another whisper, even more vague than the first... It seemed the person wanted to try their luck due to her weak appearance but she was going to show that she was by no means weak.

A transparent blade manifested on her left hand. It was a transparent short dagger that seemed to be made from polished ice but radiated deadly sharpness. She took a stance as she observed her sorroundings with utmost focus.

"Ce...line..." The whisper called with a clearer tone this time. It seemed to be coming from all directions.

She was shocked. Her name... Not even her royal servants knew of it. It was only her dad and the father of her babies that knew her true name, everyone just refered to her as princess... Her eyes suddenly widened, 'could it be...' she thought, welcoming the possibility that it might be... Hades, the love of her life, and her babies father.

Her brows were furrowed though, he wouldn't approach her in such a way that would make her tense and alert, it wasn't good for her health. But... Who could it be then?

She held her blade tighter and observed her surroundings again, she looked at the alters that were still like ashen marble, at the ground that still had the pure white diamond shaped tile in the middle, then her pale feet, which were swollen from standing too much and at the sky...

Celine gulped.

Above her was the normal sky which still had a few stray lightnings that was killing the remaining survivors, but... Before it there was... There was... There... Her thoughts seemed to freeze as she tried to comprehend what her eyes were seeing, but she wasn't wrong as another pair of eyes were looking straight at her too.

Those eyes... They were like nothing she had seen before. She was trying to comprehend what species could have such eyes, they were the eyes of giants. Then something clicked.

The temple was burned before she came here not too long ago, but she couldn't find the culprit. 'The dragon' she thought as she looked at those draconic eyes, funny enough, it was only the eyes she could see. It's body... It was as if it was invisible, kept afloat. As she looked at the stunning slits in those orbs she couldn't help but think,

'Beautifull'. They both stared at each other for an unknown amount of time. When she was done appreciating the beauty, she decided to speak.

'Umm... Mr dragon, uhh, how do you know me?"
