Water Vs Gravity…

Rex and Orion's fist clashed, one with water propelling it giving it great speed and power, the other a arm weighed down by gravity to give it more force. The fist created a shockwave that turned into a dust cloud.

"Damn it where did he-" Rex said getting cut off due to Orion clearing the area with gravity, creating a huge ball of rubble and rocks that surrounded Rex, he was trapped in it and was floating in the air.

"That should do it…" Orion said thinking that Rex was permanently immortalized.

Rex however took offense to this and by covering his body in water he created a huge explosion that cleared everything away, the pressure in the water causing it to scatter.

"They're going all out on each other, at this rate, they both might die…" Harrison said whispering.

"Damn it Orion is that all you got!?" Rex yelled free falling straight down to Orion.

"When did I imply that was all I had Rex!?" Orion said making a floating platform and flying straight to Rex with gravity.

"!?" Rex was shocked as he couldn't dodge.

Orion grabbed Rex's shirt and threw him into a window of nearby building sending Rex crashing through it and he landed on the floor.

"Damn it…" Rex said rubbing his head.

Rex then sensed the incoming Orion heading his way and using the dimly lit building he hid.

Orion crashed in recklessly and walked around looking at where Rex could be.

"I could've sworn he was here…" Orion said to himself.

Rex coming out of the shadows, his fist coated in water punched Orion with a jet punch, sending him crashing out the building.

Orion's face hurt like hell, but he created another platform and started getting the high ground once again.

Rex seen this and with his quick thinking, he propelled himself in the air with strong water pressure and they began fighting on the small platform.

Rex threw a punch but Orion blocked it and heel kicked Rex off the platform, it hurt but Rex using his quick thinking created a water chain and grabbed the platform he was standing on leaving them both in free fall.

Rex seen the off guard Orion and using two water chains, he grabbed a nearby building and slingshotted himself, propelling forward at massive speeds and kicking Orion through a building.

They both landed on the floor, Rex immediately getting up by Orion still on the ground.

"W-Why do you care this much about me Rex!?" Orion asked angrily.

"Cause your my friend" Rex said calmly.

"No don't give me that bullshit Rex, you wouldn't care this much if I was just your friend, why!?" Orion yelled.

Rex dropped his guard and looked him dead in the eye.

"You think I'm an idiot Orion? You think I don't know your in pain!? I know you're in danger Orion I don't know from who, but this change is out of nowhere! As a hero… I NEED TO SAVE YOU!" Rex yelled back.

Orion growled and ran to Rex, the building they were in shook and using his gravity he made the entire building and Rex heavier.

Before Rex could even react to his situation, he was pulled into Orions hands, he created a gravitational pull with his power, and with it he slammed Rex into the floor of the building and the next floor and the next floor and the next one until they were completely at the bottom as the building collapsed.

There was no trace of Rex and Orion for quite a bit and the whole class can do nothing but watch.

Yui started to cry watching the two seriously fight.

"Roughouser… Please… Stop this now…" Yui whimpered.

Roughouser watched, he couldn't stop this as it would he disrespectful for both of them as fighters and heroes, it didn't matter how much they got hurt, both Orion and Rex needed this fight.

Sabrina grabbed Yui's shoulder with a serious face.

"Yui, with all due respect we can't, I seen the bad blood between those two first hand, this fight isn't just to stroke there ego's, it's real…" Sabrina said sweating.

Yui looked at her and wiped her tears nodding.

"Still though, Rex… Don't die on me" Sabrina thought as she watched.

Orion's shirt was nothing but rags as he stood over Rex grabbing his ripped shirt.

"Rex! Your ideals are selfish! Even if something did happen to me, even if something was going on, aren't you scared of what happens to you!?" Orion asked yelling.

Rex became conscious and grabbed Orion's arm really tight.

"I don't give a damn what happens to me Orion! I'm easily disposable, I know that! But as long as I die or get hurt helping innocent people live on, then my duty has been fulfilled! Don't you get that!?" Rex yelled back.

Orion got angry and propelled a powerful force of gravity to Rex's chest, sending him flying far off.

Rex was in pain but he couldn't back down and lose this fight, not today!

Rex grabbed two huge pillars of the destroyed building and using his chains on every finger, he put them together smashing Orion, or so he thought.

Orion was unscathed as he coated his body in a gravity force field and was charging at Rex with full speed.

Orion with all the momentum, punched Rex in the gut with a heavy fist and using the platform as support, jumped off of it and sledgehammered Rex into the roof of a building leaving him in a crater.

Rex's head was scratched and bleeding due to this and he couldn't make a plan fast enough to combat Orion's speed and strength.

Rex had to think fast.

"Okay, Orion can probably only do that force field thing when he's on guard, so I have to surprise him, but what have I not hit him with besides a Water Gun, Water Pulse, Water Drill or Shotgun yet…" Rex thought to himself.

Then a lightbulb went off and with his plan in motion, Rex grabbed some water out of the water bottles on his belt and waited.

Orion came fast and now that they're face to face Rex immediately threw the ball of water, but as he expected Orion easily dodged it.

"What half assed attack was that!?" Orion said blasting Rex with a gravity push.

Rex blocked it but his plan worked, Orion's defense was down, and using the ball that's still near Orion's face, Rex focused, making the water hotter and hotter and hotter and straight to Orion's face.

"Gahhhhh!" Orion yelled, it burned, it was almost boiling temperature and it went straight into his face. He was stunned, Rex used this as the perfect opportunity, using a jet punch he immediately sent Orion flying with it.

Rex used the water around his feet, increasing his speed and followed up, he jet punched Orion's gut and low kicked his shin, them when Orion was stunned, Rex used a max output water pulse in the stomach making Orion cough up blood as he got sent flying.

They were back to where the started, the exit.

And Orion got enraged.

"You really think that PATHETIC SNEAK ATTACK WAS GONNA KEEP ME DOWN!? Orion yelled as the entire ground was shaking.

Rex didn't know what was happening but before he could move out the way, Rex got slammed to the ground, the gravity made him heavy, it was like a semi truck just landed on him, his back was in extreme pain.

The pain stopped and he immediately got lighter, Rex was immortalized, so he wasn't ready for Orion to punch him and send him into the air.

Orion followed up.

"This should finish you…" Orion said.

All the destruction, all the rocks, the damage and rubble, it all went straight to Rex surrounding him again, but instead of a medium sized ball like before, it was comparable to a small moon!

The entire class and Roughouser watched in horror.

"Orion stop this!" Roughouser yelled.

"Orion you're gonna kill him!" Sabrina said.

Orion did hear any of this and controlling the moon like rock, he brought it down.

Orion gathered the gravity into his palm, and with all the power he had, he used it.

"Gravity Push: Maximum Output!" Orion said sending a strong shockwave that completely demolished it.

The force of the attack caused the entire small moon to be completely demolished as the rocks and shards scattered around the entire facility.

M1cheal sent a bunch of bullets and rockets to the shards and blew them up to the point where they weren't a threat anymore.

"This fight is getting too dangerous, we need to capture Rex now! Even if Orion get mad!" Harrison announced.

"Yeah if we know where Rex is?" Jake said.

"I would be surprised if he got launched out of the facility and into space" Owen said pensively.

Still in the air was a large pillar of rubble, it turned around to show Rex, his costume mostly destroyed, only his pants and shoes being in tact.

The class was shocked to see Rex not only alive but conscious.

Rex cracked a sinister smile, not cause he was happy but due to the pain, he couldn't help but laugh.

"Finally you showed me what you're made of Orion! How about we complete the final stretch!" Rex yelled.

"How the hell are you even awake!?" Harrison yelled.

"Same thing I used earlier! Coating myself in water really lightened that impact, it still hurt like hell!" Rex said laughing as he yelled back.

"Fuck… FUCK!" Orion yelled.

Orion conjured all the leftover energy he had left and shot a beam of gravity from his palm.

Rex took it but he smiled, wiping the blood from his nose and looking around.

He seen a piece of the destroyed building, he created a water chain and grabbed it. While he was propelling himself through the air, Orion was gathering all the gravity he could control into his fist.

Rex used the last remaining bottles of water and he put it into his arm.

He swung behind Orion and with only one minute to spare, went to clash with Orion for one final time…

"Water Drill!" Rex yelled propelling the drill straight towards Orion.

Orion using all his gravity created a fist of equal power.

They clashed, creating a huge shockwave, more than the one that started the fight.

As Rex pushed but Orion pushed harder as they clashed.

As Rex looked behind him, he seen the exit, his plan worked.

"I may have lost the battle Orion, but… I won the war, Dipshit!" Rex yelled as the drill went away and he let himself get sent flying by Orions attack, propelling him and sending Rex straight into the exit, winning him the challenge.

"Huh ain't that something!? The Hero Team… WINS!" Roughouser announced from the speaker.

"No fucking way!?" Harrison yelled.

"Rex… you're okay…" Yui whispered.

The rest of the class was a mix of disappointment and relief that Rex didn't die.

Orion stood there motionless looking at Rex as he layed there, his pupils gone as he was unconscious.

The First Aid robots came to Rex's aid as he got put on a stretcher.

"How, How could I lose…" Orion whispered.

"Well kid it's simple, he outsmarted you!" a voice shouted.

It was the Principal of Superhuman Tech! Mr. Williams.

"I came here to scout out you rookies and to do some clean up, you guys made a mess of this place" He smiled as he looked at Orion.

"Anyway kid, he knew full well he couldn't beat you in a one on one fight, but he easily took advantage of your aggression that's for sure!" Mr. Williams exclaimed.

"You know, that Rex kid impressed me, he showed that someone with the weaker power can come out on top wouldn't you say?" Mr. Williams asked as he looked at the motionless Orion.

"Train harder kid, and remember keep your cool" Mr. Williams said walking away.

Rex after about an hour woke up from his comatosed state and he was met with the nurse looking up him.

"Dude… you were like SUPER messed up when you got here!" Nurse Jennifer said.

"Yeah sorry! Guess I went overboard Ms!" Rex exclaimed.

Rex looked down to see he was in nothing but a shirt and shorts from his locker.

"Wait what happened to my costume Ms?" Rex said confused.

"Oh yeah, those executive dudes had to take it off and stuff cause when the test was done it was basically a bunch of rags, impressive, those costumes are like, really durable!" Nurse Jennifer said leaning back in her rolling chair.

After some more rest, Rex left the nurses office, his head still wrapped in bandages.

The thing about Nurse Jennifers power is that her healing takes longer the more her power is used on a certain person, since Rex had to go to her office for a third time in a short timeframe her power wasn't as effective.

Anyway, Rex made it to his classroom where all his stuff was, he was surprised to see all his classmates there waiting for him.

"Rex!" Yui said running and kissing him.

"I was so worried I'm glad you're okay!" She continued.

"Thanks Yui!" Rex said as he hugged her back.

"Sweet moves Rex! Glad you didn't die!" Sabrina said wrapping her arm around him.

"It was most impressive! His combat data is most definitely getting saved!" M1cheal said from his speaker.

"I guess it was passable, I'm more surprised that he managed to escape all of you…" Harrison said as he closed his eyes and frowned.

Rex looked around the classroom but he didn't see him.

"Where's Orion?" Rex said.

The class went silent.

"Rex… Orion just left the building, but if you hurry up you won't miss him!" Yui said.

Rex ran out the class trying to catch up, as he went down the stairs and burst through the door he seen him, Orion about to leave.

"Orion!" Rex yelled calling his attention.

Orion turned around and looked into his eyes.

"Orion I-I don't know what to say but, I promise, I will save you! Whatever you're going through!" Rex yelled.

Orion stared at Rex and he could only muster a few words.

"Get stronger Rex… If you can barely win against me, you don't stand a chance against him…" Orion said turning around and leaving.

Sabrina and the rest of the class watched from the window.

"They really are rivals! It's poetic!" Sabrina said.

"Yeah, I wonder how this will go down!" Owen said grabbing some chips.

Rex looked into the sky and smiled.

"Fine Orion, I'll do it, that's my goal!"

"I'll get stronger!"
