Twilight!

She knew the exact moment the look changed in his red eyes like he was looking not at her but a dead being. She realized it was pointless to resist but still not wanting to go out without giving her all, she began to channel all her energy into creating an exploding body.

Ember could see her future, her incoming demise but her thoughts were exceptionally clear at this moment. She had heard various opinions, read many things, that at the moment of death people remember and see all kinds of things. Some have their life flashed before them, some feel regret over the mistakes they committed in their lives, some realized the true essence of human life and some were only thinking about their loved ones at their last moment.

But what was she seeing at this moment?

Nothing!
