The old necromancer Castor had a serious look on his face, if Hebe hadn't known this man for a few weeks now and picked up on his luck of humor, she would have thought he was just pulling her leg.
"Hebe, I'm afraid your life is in danger" he spoke, his words were stern and clear, almost chilling even.
"In danger?" The little goddess mattered, "I don't understand."
Castor looked back at the closed door behind him before speaking again, as if ensuring no one was listening in on their conversation.
"I was given an order to kill you and hide your body," Castor explained, "after which Lynceus would be told that you abandoned him and your child."
"Lynceus would never believe such lies!" Hebe protested, "he knows how much I love him and our child, he would definitely know that there was foul play involved!"
