"Yes, my lady." Satino gave a nod. 

Avelina scratched her cheek, wondering if she should go ahead with her question.

"Is there a problem, my lady?" Santino probed, able to glimpse the conflicted look she held. 

Avelina frantically shook her head at him. "No, not at all." 

"It's just…do you think it's okay for me to go to his room?" she queried, whispering.

"Sure, it is, my lady," Santino whispered back, which almost made Avelina chuckle.

Avelina smiled at him. "Thank you." She left, making her way over to the room where Draven was. 

She gave three light knocks on the door, but no one answered. She furrowed her brows and grabbed the knob, opening the door and stepping in.

She shut the door behind her and looked around, only for her gaze to halt on the bed. It was…empty. 

Avelina frowned. Did he leave? But if he did, Santino would have told her.
