Chapter 76

Inside a warehouse, Leonardo who was currently handcuffing the ringleader of a medium size drug supplying ring within Gotham. He felt his phone ringing as he took a seat on top of his fairly chubby target. So pulling out his phone he answered it and put it up to his ear.

"You have reached Leonardo. Please leave your name, number and short message after the beep and I will reach back as soon as I can." Leonardo said.

"Leo, I need your help." Clark's voice came from the phone.

"Go to hell!" One of the drug goon's shouted as he unleashed a barrage of bullets.

Flipping a metal plate in front of him with a flick of his foot. Leonardo picked up a spray paint can and chucked it at the goon knocking him out. While he calmly began to chat with Clark as the drug supplier's personal guards rolled around in pain.

"So what do you need help with? Did Lana try to get you to open up? Take your pants off and run or did you finally become a real man." Leonardo asked.

"None of the above." Clark grumbled. "Father has decided to fully run for state senator."

"Oh, why?" Leonardo asked.

While he is not surprised by this since Jonathan has been putting out feelers for this. Up to this point, Jonathan still has been a bit hesitant about running since the incident with Jack. Leonardo truthfully didn't see why Jonathan wanted to do such a thing. Even back when he was watching the show it was more a strange occurrence.

"Chloe thinks it's because we save others often, she thinks he feels inadequate." Clark answered. "So he thinks he can help more if he becomes the state senator."

Leonardo rolled his eyes at that explanation. The man has been a farmer all his life, what does he know about politics? Not to mention the man is too honest and trusting at times. So there is a high chance the man would be eaten alive by the others and no bones will remain.

"Does he not think feeding people doesn't do the same?" Leonardo asked. "Sure it's not the most glorious thing in the world nor him appearing in a suit. However, he does help others by feeding them."

"Is there such a thing?" Clark asked.

"No Clark. The milk in the fridge, the hamburger you enjoy and potato chips alongside the rest of the food appear from nothing." Leonardo sarcastically said.

"Can you finish up your call you bastard. The floor is cold." The man Leonardo was sitting on angrily said.

"Yeah, yeah. I am getting around to that." Leonardo rolled his eyes.

"Sure you will. Once the higher ups find out you are interrupting their business, they will kill you." The man laughed.

"Don't worry, they will enjoy the sight of four walls and bars alongside you once I get to them." Leonardo patted the man.

"I hope you die painfully." The man screamed.

"Yes, yes. I heard this dozens of times." Leonardo laughed. "So, Clark, what do you need me to do anyways? Endorse him, give him some money, pretend I don't know him?"

"I was actually hoping you can help talk him out of it." Clark replied.

"He is a grown man, he can make his own choices in life. Even if they aren't well thought out." Leonardo said back. "Anyways, I need to go and deal with the situation at hand. These guys are playing with toys they shouldn't."

While saying this, Leonardo threw a wrench and knocked the rocket launcher towards the sky before sending a small burst of heat vision. There a loud boom was heard over the river as the missile head exploded.

"You guys really shouldn't play with such toys." Leonardo sighed. "I totally didn't bring enough handcuffs."

"So will you stop by and talk with him?" Clark asked over the phone.

"I will see if I can make some time, Clark. I am really busy at the moment." Leonardo didn't agree since it was true he was busy.

Since coming to Gotham, he really began to crack down and if it was not one incident, he was on the way to another. Outside of the petty crime or cases that springs up, he is also busy suppressing or busting various gangs. Some of his actions make Commissioner Gordon want to pull his hair out.

"I know, it even made the news about the large crackdown on crime in Gotham." Clark said. "So did you meet him, the so-called Batman?"

"Goodbye, Clark." Leonardo hung up the phone.

--

"Officer Kent! My Office! Now!"

Inside the station, Commissioner Gordon's voice boomed throughout the building. However, none of the officers really reacted to it since it was a fairly common occurrence. Since arriving, it is almost a daily occurrence for this to happen.

"What do you think he did this time?" an older detective said as he leaned back in his chair.

"Busted up a medium size drug supply ring." a man next to him said confidently.

"I'm more amazed that no one assassinated him yet. He stepped on enough toes." A woman grumbled.

"Please it not they don't try, but he always comes out on top." the detective answered. "Anyways, even if it's annoying to have to help him clean up some scenes. Gotham seems to have changed a bit for the better."

"You say that, but we had to heighten security to the building because of him." The woman grumbled. "Phil at the entrance always wants to do a body check on me."

Both men looked at the woman who was fairly chubby and truthfully not that great looking in their eyes. While neither had high standards, this woman couldn't even make it to their average standard. So they only rolled their eyes at these words since it sounded like a complaint but her smile told otherwise.

--

Inside the Office, Commissioner Gordon just stared at Leonardo who was before him. Yet this stare didn't last long since he knew it wouldn't work on him. Since no matter how he complained, it doesn't seem to have much impact on him.

"You are really determined to die. You have managed to anger Penguin, Black Mask, various Triads, Russian Mafia, Intergang, Drug Cartels, various crime families and gangs." Commissioner Gordon said.

"Meh, the news screams for equal equality. So I want to make sure the others don't feel left out." Leonardo joked.

"I'm glad you can joke, but the gangs are beginning to retaliate." Commissioner Gordon angrily said. "There have been movements of them gathering to deal with you."

"Really? Then when they gather, let's nab them. There is a power vacuum appearing in Gotham and let's fill it with police officers and not gangsters." Leonardo shrugged. "Corruption and gangs had their fun, but now it is not their turn to be in power."

An intense stare off happened inside the office, before Gordon lowered his head in agreement. Yet, the possibility of this happening isn't very big. Not to mention each time someone tries to spear head this, they either die or become a villain.

"We can try, but if you die I will just put it on the back burner again." Commissioner Gordon stated. "Since your luck seems particularly strong, I hope you can become the leading figure of the department."

"Please, I won't die to kids with expensive toys." Leonardo shrugged.

Commissioner Gordon just rubbed his forehead at this comment. He should be used to Leonardo's personality. Since it seems like nothing really phases him, even if it concerns his life.
