The Bar

* One Year Ago*

Helen was a young lady living with her friend, Terra on an average home and she needed more money to run the house with her friend, Terra.

"I need to get a job." Helen said to Terra.

"Well... there is a vacancy available at the bar down town." Replied Terra.

Helen didn't like that idea. "what?!".

"No way I'm going to work there N.O. No"

"You have any better idea?"

Helen let out a soft sigh. "no".

"Helen, I think you should take the job before some other girl takes it because they're all dying to work at that place". Terra said

"Why?"

"Because many influencial dudes go there for meetings and parties and stuff".

Terra continued "and, they could give you a sweet tip since you're so pretty and they loooove pretty waitresses."

Helen chuckled " you're so weird, Terra".

The next day, Helen went to the bar and found a slightly fat lady who looked like she was at her early forties. The lady was cleaning a table but stopped when she saw Helen coming. Once Helen reached her, she rudely asked " what do you want?"

"I came to apply for the waitress job I heard you're offering".

The lady sized up Helen, she looked at her from top to bottom.

Helen was wearing a white shirt and a short jeans skirt with nice brown boots. She made her hair to a cute ponytail and she was wearing lite makeup on her face.

The lady finally spoke " I like your sense of fashion. You don't have to be formal, this is a bar. I'll just ask you a few questions about yourself."

"Okay"

" Are you at your early twenties? do you have kids? do you live with your parents?"

Helen answered "Yes, no and no".

The lady raised a brow. Helen explained:

"My parents live at the East Coast of the country and I don't have kids".

"Okay you get the job. What's your name girl?"

"Helen".

"I have to say, Helen, you're a full package".

Helen smiled and said "thank you".

"I'm Sharon. Helen, you will be working from 9 am to 9pm and maybe even overtime on Friday nights". Sharon continued. " Be polite, patient and smart when serving my customers. Be very careful because most of the men that comes to this bar already have girlfriends and they might only want to have you as a side chic so don't just say yes to just anyone and please, try your best to stay out of trouble. got it".

Helen nodded.

Helen began her new job. It wasn't very far from home so it was easy for her to get home at night.

In the blink of an eye, two months had passed and Helen had been a very committed worker, doing the usuals everyday.

One day, Helen got a call from Sharon. Sharon told her to come to work early the next day and there was going to be a party at the bar and that Helen would have to help with the setting up.

The next day, Helen went to the bar early just as she was told. She helped in setting up the place for the party and when she was done, she waited for the party to begin. They didn't have any customers as the place was reserved for the party.

The party was being hosted by " The Great" Don Erick.

Don Erick was the greatest businessman in the country. He worked with the government and sponsored businesses that pleased him and all that so him throwing a party at the bar was a great honour so they couldn't screw this up.

"Make sure everything is ready. Don Erick coming, nothing must get wrong, okay". Sharon told all her worked including Helen.

"Infact, if this night goes well then I'll increase your salaries by 10 percent each".

Her statement made all her workers smile like a bunch of freaks.

"Helen, I'm giving you the job to serve him. Be grateful. Be super extra polite towards him, one wrong move then my bar would get shut down."

...

Finally, Don Erick arrived and the party began. And as expected, the place became super busy and OMG, Helen was going to serve Don Erick herself.

Helen carried a plate of sauced meat to Don Erick and the moment she saw him, she was in a daze. This guy was talking with his friends or colleagues and he was tall. Helen knew even in his seated position that he was tall.

This guy was just so handsome. He had broad shoulders, he was very muscular. His eyes were fiery red and his eyebrows were arched. His nose was pointed and his lips were pale pink. All in all, this guy was just so good looking.

When Helen saw him, she stared for a while but immediately scolded herself; "No. Don't stare, just serve him and patiently wait for the next order. And at the end of the day, you'll get paid for it".

This guy was just so handsome that it would be hard for any girl to not "fall in love at first sight". There were rumors that said he was still single but Helen thought it was impossible for a guy like Don Erick to not have a wife or a girlfriend at least.
