She's Pregnant ?!

Helen got home and she started packing her bags. She planned on going to her parents house. Terra noticed the worry etched on her face as she packed and she couldn't help but asked, "what's up with you, Len? Where are you rushing off to".

"Terra, you know I was at Don Erick's house for the last two days, right?"

"Yeah?" Terra replied.

"Cool.. Long story short, his wife wants to kill me so I'll have to run."

Terra was obviously disgusted with the shameless character of Don Erick. She didn't understand why a married man would stoop so low and commit adultery with a defenseless young lady like Helen.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this, Len but do you really have to go and leave me here, all alone in the South-East of Valeria?"

"Yes, my friend. It's for your own safety. I truly am sorry". Helen replied sadly.

Terra was sad, so was Helen. They both hugged and sobbed on each other's shoulders.

"Goodbye, Helen". Terra said between her sobs. "We shall cross paths again, I promise."

Helen said, pulling away from the embrace then she left.

Helen had so much money she could book a flight to the East of Valeria where her parents lived.

Once she landed, she called a cab to come pick her up and take her straight to her parents house.

When Helen reached the house, her parents were so surprised to see her because she normally came to visit during the festive season but it was just mid- year and she was here. Wow.

Helen was looking so wealthy with the expensive dress she was wearing so her parents were in awe.

Helen explained everything to her parents without leaving a single detail. Her parents were disappointed but then again they were happy with their daughter's wealth.

In about two months, Helen started acting strange. She would eat a lot of food and would "burn them" by taking long walks. She also started sleeping irregularly; sometimes 8 hours, 10 hours, 2 hours and even 18 hours. The shocking thing is that sometimes she had sleepless nights.

Helen's mom started watching her closely. she felt like Helen needed special care or maybe a check up.

"Relax Mom it's just irregular sleep." Helen said to her but her mom wasn't concerned about Helen's sleep. What scared her was the fact that Helen vomited a lot but instead of being weak like normal ladies after vomiting, Helen was as agile as ever. This made her mom worry. She decided to take Helen to the hospital for a check up.

The next day, Helen and her parents went to the hospital. The doctor examined her and she turned out to be... pregnant.

DOM. DOM. DO_O_OM ~~

Helen's mother was still confused because a pregnant woman isn't supposed to be agile but the doctor couldn't explain that. So he decided to run some more tests.

The test results came and the doctor was in utter shock. He hadn't in his entire life seen something like this before.

The foetus of this child was different from normal foetuses, infact, the foetus didn't even look like a human's foetus. He didn't know what it looked like.

Helen's parents saw the expression on the doctor's face and asked, "what's the matter?"

The doctor calmly replied, "She is pregnant but I'm not sure if there's a human in there."

Helen's parents were dumbfounded.

"If it's not a human then what the hell is it." They thought.

The doctor said, "I'm sorry but I can't help you. Please leave. I suggest you see a spiritualist for this."

The doctor was the best in the East so if he couldn't help then it had to be spiritual.

Helen's parents were taken aback by the reply of the doctor. They left the hospital dissatisfied.

After going to three other hospitals and getting worse answers than the last ones, they decided to go to the spiritualists.

Two weeks later they finally got to see the spiritualists who were a couple and lived at the edge of the Endless river.

The reason why the Endless river is called Endless is because no mortal man alive has been to the other side.

It was like the "Bermuda triangle". Whatever tries to cross never succeeds.

Airplanes tried flying over but were pulled in straight to the bottom by an unimaginable force.

Ships, boats and many other water vessels tried crossing but most never came back. The ones that came back were missing most of their passengers. The people that came back claimed to be too traumatized to explain what happened. The ones that were brave enough claimed to see wild beasts and hideous monsters that were "just too ugly". to describe. They said that the river is filled with darkness and evil so, many people avoided it.

The spiritualists who were a couple by the names Shrek and Divan disagreed with the people and moved so very close to the river. They said that it's essence strengthens them.

Back to the main topic.

Helen and her parents got to the spiritualists place and saw a lady. She was backing the family and God, she looked spooky.

"No need to speak, I already know why you are here." The lady said.

"Yeah of course you do, we told you over the phone." Helen said cooly. The lady looked disappointed.

"Don't you see I was trying to be mysterious. Fun sponge." She was already looking at the family.

"Divan, you don't always have to act scary in front of our guests." It was her husband, Shrek who spoke then walked forward for a proper introduction.

"Welcome to my home. Shall we begin the check up?" Shrek said.

"It is an honour to be at your home, great One." Helen's mother said and bowed. Helen scoffed at her mom's behavior then her mom stepped on her foot. It hurt.

Helen quickly smiled and said, "Thank you for welcoming us to your ..... Umm..... lovely home." Helen wished she could take back her words because this place was anything but lovely. It had dried up animals hanging on the walls. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in, well, ever but Helen had to be courteous. She saw what her parents went through just to book this appointment. These people always had customers.

"Come with me, girl". Divan pulled Helen to one side of the room where there was a table that had different things on top of it.

Divan looked at Helen's tummy and did all her spiritual things. When she was done, she looked at Helen's parents and said " She's three months pregnant and what's in her tummy is a demon."

Everyone was shocked. How did a demon get there?

Divan gave Shrek a look, Shrek nodded and started taking, "Helena, your parents told me that you, sorry, Don Erick slept with you."

Helen nodded.

"Don is a very strange man. I and Divan suspects that he is not even a human but a ... you know. We also feel like he's the only one who crossed the Endless river, saw the other side and lived."

"You know,. no human has ever gotten to the other side so for him to get there and come back.... no, he can't be a human." Shrek said.

" So you're saying Erick is a demon, he's also responsible for my child which means I'm carrying a demon. Whoa." Helen was surprised.

Helen decided not to tell anyone not even her child who he or she was. She promised to raise her child like a human when he is born.
