Chapter 5:A great big surprise

I have been a spy for almost 2 whole months. I have been doing missions,and I must say that I'm doing great. During every mission I keep getting better and better. But things are weird between Clawd and I.

Now we have entered the month of March. The 3rd of March to be precise. And we are closing in on exams.

I have just woken up,and I'm getting dressed in my school uniform. Just hoping that today is like any other ordinary day. No mission,nothing. Just me enjoying my day with family.

As I was done,I headed downstairs for breakfast. On the way down,all I could think about was that weird moment between me and Clawd. It was playing over and over and over in my head.

As I entered the kitchen,I saw a plate of pancakes by the place that I sat. They were covered in golden syrup,which was running down the raised with 3 blueberries on the top.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!!!"I shouted as I was about to takes a seat. "Thanks mom. The pancake looks so yummy."she replied with a big smile that just warms my heart. "So when you come back from school you can open your presents."

After I finished my breakfast,I grabbed my school bag and kissed my mom and dad goodbye. "Enjoy your day sweetie!" yeld my mom. "Okay mom,will do bye!"I yelled back.

"Hi Cloe. What's up?"I asked her as I saw her at the school entrances. "Hey! Here's the birthday girl. How is it going?"she asked me "And how's your boyfriend... what's his name? Clawd wasn't it?". My eyes widen when she asked that. "WHAT!!! WHERE DO YOU GET THAT IDEA FROM?"I shouted.

"So his not your boyfriend...?"she asked. "Well..."I was about to speak,but....*HHHHEEEE*

I was save by the bell,and because of that there was no need to answer.

So far every chance Cloe gets,she asks about me and Clawd. "I don't know how long I can take this. It's so irritating."I thought to myself.

"Well if she won't tell me,then I'll have to find out another way"I thought to myself. Then I got an idea,"How's about I ask her parents? Yes good idea Cloe, good idea." But first I need to get out of class."I got it."

"Mr.Davids,may I leave the room please."I asked as I raised my hand. "Sure miss,but don't take long. There is a lot of work that still needed to be done."he stated as I left. "Yes sir."

I already have her parents number, since I can't always get a hold off her on her phone. "This will be easier than expected." Then I began to call the parents.

"Hi Cloe,this is strange to get a phone call from you now. Did something happen to Alexa?

"No Mrs.Smith,I would like to know about Alexa's boyfriend Clawd."

"Alexa's boyfriend? What on earth are you talking about? Alexa doesn't have a boyfriend."

"Was that then her brother who dropped her at school the second day?"

"No. She's the only child. Tell me about her boyfriend. Tell me all the details."

"Well he looks about 5 years older then her. His really good looking."

"Well I have an idea. I'll invite you and her 'boyfriends' to her surprise party. Do you have his number?"

"No ma'am. But when she come we can ask her about him,and tell her to call her."

"Great idea. Okay until tonight. Bye."

"Bye Mrs.Smith."

"Honey,do you know that Alexa has a boyfriend. My baby girl has grown up." My husband dropped whatever he was doing and shouted "WHAT!!! MY BABY HAS A BOYFRIEND! I WON'T ALLOW IT! I'LL KILL HIM! SHE'S MY BABY!"

The more he shouted,the louder I was going to shout. "MIIIIIIKE!!!". His eyes widen in fear. "I am going to invite her boyfriend,Clawd over. You better not try to hurt him,and if you even look at him funny... you know what will happen." He replied in a squeaky voice "O...o...okay Honey. I promise."

"HI,I'm home."I greated my parents. "Hi honey,how was school?"my mom asked as my dad gave me a funny look. "Good. Mom why is dad looking at me like that?"I asked. "Nevermind him,tell me about your boyfriend."she said with a grim. "What boyfriend?". She just grimmed more "Your boyfriend Clawd. I'm so happy for you."She stated as she gave me a hug.

"Phone him and invite him to your party."she ordered me. "Yes mom."I said as I took out my phone to call him.

"Sup Alexa,what's up?"

"Oh...nothing much."

"WAIT,IS SOMETHING THE MATTER?"

"NO!I...I want to know if you want to come to my party tonight?"

"I think it is to late to ask."

"Ya,sorry. If you can't make it,no problem."

"No,I'm coming. I wanted to give you your birthday present anyway."

"You got me a birthday present?"

"Obviously. Remember I followed you while before I, you know."

"Ya,I know. So see you later tonight?"

"Sure. See you soon. Bye"

"Bye."

"Okay mom,his coming."I said,which put a huge smile upon her face. "This is all Clawd's fault."I thought to myself. "He brought it upon himself."

As I opened the door I saw Clawd wearing a white shirt with a navy green jacket,blue denim jeans and white sneaker. He was so cute i that. Then those eyes hit me, so cold ans distant, my stomach became the gordian knot.

"Hi,thanks for coming."I stated. Then suddenly my mom shouted "HONEY ,WHO IS AT THE DOOR? IS IT YOUR BOYFRIEND?". I then turn back to see him leaning towards me and smirking. "Boyfriend hah,I didn't know you would take me serious?". I just blushed. I then quickly looked down and pat my cheeks to get the red color away.

I saw how she tried to hide the fact she was blushing. "She is so cute."I thought to myself with a smile. "Wait,why am I smiling?". I felt my cheeks starting to heat up. "Why am I blushing?"I thought as I quickly used my one hand to cover my mouth and I looked away from her.

She then took a deep breath and turned towards me and so did I. She then lead me to the kitchen,where the party was. But she was walking really slow for some reason.

"This is your fault you know. If you didn't say those things about you being my boyfriend while I was talking to Cloe,this would not have happened."I stated. He leaned into my ear and whispered "I know.". He then straightened his back. I turned and looked at him and saw a smirk upon his face.

I quickly turned back around and continued to walk to the kitchen while blushing. We then made it to the entrance for the kitchen. I first looked at him then entered.

"Mom,dad and Cloe, this is Clawd. My b...b...boy...b...boyfriend."I said as I blushed. I was so embarrassed. I could see how my mom and Cloe was smiling,and how my dad was sit with his arms crossed and giving Clawd a daggered look. "Hi. It's nice to meet your acquaintance Mr and Mrs.Smith."

"Well it's nice to meet you to Clawd. Right Mike?". But my husband didn't answer. "MIIIIKE...!"I yelled at him. "Sure what my wife says."he answered. "Have a seat.". He answered with a polite thank you. "So tell us something about you,and how did you two meet."

"We met one day when she was running late for school. So I offered her a lift. As she got out and walked towards the school,she turned around to say thanks but fell backwards, luckily I was there to catch her.

"So we hanged out a bit after that."I told them. "So what do you do?"she asked me. "Well,I do odd jobs here and there." Empressive

"Happy birthday to you honey."I told her as she blew out the candles. As everyone cheered for her,I saw how she and Clawd looked at each other. "I would hate to leave,but it's running late. Thanks you for having me."he said. "No. Thank you for coming. Oh Alexa, walk him to the door.". She just nodded and left with Clawd.

"Thanks for the party."I told her with my cheeks turning light pink that she maybe couldn't see. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."she stated. "Yes. It sure was fun. Oh wait,your birthday present. This is for you. Hope you like the necklace.". All she said was that it's beautiful. "Turn around so I can put it on for you"I said and she nodded.

"I love it. Thank you.". While i was still looking down at the necklace around my neck,I felt a slite kiss on my forehead. He then whispered in my ear and said "Sleep tight. It's your first sleep as a 17 year old girl.". I then quickly looked up to see him climb into his black convertible. He waved and then drove off into the night.
