Riordan took a short break from his writing and glanced in the direction of the counter. He noticed Dillon was talking to an older gentleman, obviously repeating the customer’s order while also providing a suggestion or two. After dating Dillon for a while now, Riordan was quite familiar with his boyfriend’s habit at the teahouse. He focused on the older gentleman and discreetly sniffed the man out. He would do that sometimes because he was curious to know if a customer was an ordinary folk or someone from within the supernatural community. It was easy to tell because the blood of all supernatural folks would carry the distinct scent of some sorts of magic.
