Chapter 7:

In the days following up to the official training I came up with a new training regime, basically I tried to control 2 needles and threads and sewing with those, it helped with training my accuracy and my control of emotions. This helped with training my control of my emotions because if I'm directing the magnesis at several different points, usually the emotion would calm down or I'd get slightly anxious to perform well, thus improving my overall control.

In those days I sold the clothes made with my training exercises, it helps me raise capital I might need for things like food and armour in expectation of when I can explore and make a living while enjoying myself. I want to soak up the Kingdom of Hyrule, so that I can remember it even as I get old and die.

The training was explained to be separate different areas of expertise, each of which I have to excel in to pass Purah's training: espionage, assassination, survival, scouting, medicine, sabotage, and disguises are all separate things that I had to train in, also basic to intermediate close combat. I have to at least pass the qualification that Purah has set for me. The training started off slow, but I had difficulty adapting to the training style of the Sheikah ninjas', the training is really informative. Basic medical knowledge was where I started, learning the best materials to make the right healing ointments for different scenarios. The ability to make poisons, ranging from mild stomach pains to almost instantaneous death. I was also taught other basic medical knowledge, such as: how to set a bone, basic muscle areas such as where to strike to kill.

The basic scouting skills were also ingrained into my body, I spent the next week practising scouting, and my natural map like knowledge of my surroundings was very useful in this particular training. I practised trying to observe my surroundings with my mind in much more detail, I didn't make much progress but I was able to now focus on it, and it will increase slightly in quality, but that effect wasn't much in the grand scale of things. My combat training is coming along well, Purah and Symin have hired a trained mercenary to duel with me, and thanks to that my usage of runes is increasing, particularly the magnesis rune. I'm able to leave small traps lying on the ground, like caltrops, that I move around and add slightly more pressure on my enemies, this was a huge surprise that the trainer was dealt. Purah and Symin both had to pay him more money to keep him quiet, they were, unfortunately, upset with me because of this, after all I was an investment that wouldn't be paying anytime soon and I keep releasing information about myself to random people.

"Why do you keep using your runes in combat? You do know we're trying to train you to protect yourself, right? How are you supposed to learn to fight if you keep using your runes to help yourself?" Symin and Purah both said in frustration. "You know you can't learn how to fight properly if you keep depending on your runes. *Exhales in frustration* You know you can use your runes in real life combat, if you're actually in danger, until then you should keep training your runes until they are actually more applicable in most situations."

After that I stopped using my runes in my duels, although I felt that it ignored the point of training my runes, like really what's the point if I can't get used to using them in combat? It'd be a much more effective way of training my runes. My training in my survival techniques were coming along well, I knew which environments accommodated which animals and plants, how to find water in a desert, how to filter salt water to be consumable. Basic survival tips that would help avoid death, although I don't have much practical knowledge about how to do these the easiest, basically I'm a useless noob, all my knowledge is just that, knowledge. They have little to no use without the proper experience to back them up.

But while the training was going on I was provided the general history of the Sheikah clan, and it's rival clan the Yiga clan. The truth was much more interesting, the Yiga clan was once part of the Sheikah clan, and they separated, more like splintered, away from their original clan. All because of the history of Hyrule, and how the ancient Sheikah clan was developing weapons of war, all engineered for the sake of taking down the Calamity Ganon. But the clan was shunned for developing said weapons in a period of peace. Where the Yiga clan came in, is after the Calamity Ganon came back, when he destroyed all the Kingdoms hard work, such as the Guardians and the armies gathered for the sole sake of defeating Ganon. After he destroyed that, there was an amount of Sheikah clansmen left and formed the Yiga clan, they are the ones who serve the darkness, for they are the ones that pledged their loyalty to Calamity Ganon.

Have a good night.
