My STORY 2
I went back to my mum and pressed my head on her chest
"B.a.d.u.m". I heard a very weak heartbeat.
"Oh God mum can you just take a peek at me please ?.
"Mom? I started crying when she wouldn't wake up.
"Wau Wau Wau ". I suddenly heard the ambulance and ran out to meet them. They rush in with a stretcher and placed my mum in it and put her in the ambulance.
I climbed in our own car and our family butler zoomed off after the ambulance.
On reaching the hospital, my mum was rushed to the ICU was placed on oxygen because she'd stopped breathing.
While in the waiting room I was shaking nervously like a dried leaf.
I suddenly remembered hearing that my dad was in the hospital. I stopped a nurse and asked her where I can meet my dad. She took me to the receptionist, who asked for my name.
" Am Samatha Maxwells". I replied her.
" okay can you wait for few seconds let me ask the doctor if you can see your dad Okay?.
" okay"
She called the doctor who came out of his office and took me inside.
"So you're Samatha Maxwells?
"Yes I am".
" i see" he said while nodding his head.
" your dad had a third degree of burns which may be too hard for you to bear". He dropped a bombshell.
" my dad was burnt?.
" Yes". He affirmed.
"How? What caused the fire? I asked trembling.
"Thee police are still investigating the place of the accident".
"Can I ask you a favor? He asked out of the blue.
"Umm what? I asked.
"Your dad has a history of had a history of heart disease and he can't take any shocking news now considering his condition".
" so I need you to keep your mother admission into the hospital a secret from him".
" do you mean that I shouldn't tell my dad that my mum fainted and she is in the same hospital with him? I asked.
"Yes to prevent him going into a shock state". He replied.
"Okay can I see him now?. Already getting a cold feet at the thought of lying to my dad.
" okay sure let's go". He said and stood up.
I followed suit and stood up too.
He opened the door and allowed me to step out first.
We started walking.
