Kiskindha Chronicles: The Enigma's Journey

Today is the last day of the year everyone is spending time with their family and friends.

Many parties were happening, people were recalling all the ups and downs they faced this year.

Many were making new resolutions for the year like having a new hobby or spending more time with family and friends.

But in a particular building with the board saying 'Pingla Orphanage'

Every child was playing and having fun but one.

In his room standing was a boy with dizzy eyes and a drop of tears flowing from his eyes it looked like he was recalling a bad memory.

"Son only open this later if you clear the first trial"

This is the last message Arya's mother left before she left the world.

Arya now holds that same letter recalling the day from three years ago when his mother passed away leaving him alone.

Tomorrow is the day, when he will enter the "Jambo dvipa" where he will participate in the trial with many other people of the age of 15.

No one knows why but every year on the first day of the year, every person of this age gets teleported to the trial ground to participate in the trial.

The trial goes on for three years and less than 1 percent of the participants survive.

Now it's Arya's turn to participate.

Arya stands tall with his hand gripping the letter thinking that maybe he will not be able to read this letter and got to know about his father.

He, for the past three years, thought many times of opening and reading this letter, but he recalled the promise he made to his mother that he would only open this after he passed the trial.

"I will become strong, Mom! Dad!"

He then stored the Letter in his room and went outside of the building.

After his mother's demise according to the rules, no one below 18 can have personal property. So, he had to move from his house to this orphanage.

After reaching the backyard of the orphanage, he took his spear and started practicing his attacks one last time before the trail.

The Next Day

Every person in the town and nearby villages was present in front of the mayor's mansion as of today, Those of the age will enter the trial.

The teenagers were feeling both excitement and nervousness as this was the only way to change their destiny but if failed they would die.

Their parents don't know what to say as they knew most of the children will not survive.They can be their children too.

In this crowd was our protagonist Arya recalling the hard training he did to prepare for the trial.

After a few minutes, the Mayor arrived and climbed the stage present as this thing happens every three years so the stage is built for this purpose.

"Hello everyone." The Mayor greeted everyone and said.

"I don't like to beat around the bush. So, I will get straight to the point. Today is the start of the year 0815 AC and also The Day of Rites."

"That comes every year where every person of the age of 15 years will be teleported to the trial ground."

"Well I would love to say that I want each and every one to clear the trial and come back safely but that's not possible as most of you will not survive."

"As the batch before you, who entered the trial three years ago arrived a week ago on the day of, The Day of Results and you all know the result."

"So all I can say is try your best as if not the best then you will not survive there. As your fate is in your hand."

The Mayor waited and then looked directly into the eyes of the youth that were standing in rows and said

"Don't believe in anyone other than yourself not even those with whom you grew up.

One mistake can cost you your life."

"The other side is not for the weak there you have to kill, So be ready!"

"The trial changes every time, so no one knows what you might face, So get ready to face hell because if you are not ready then not even, God can save you."

The Mayor looked at his wristwatch and said.

"Only half an hour is remaining till you get teleported so bid farewell to your family and friends as this may be the last time you see them."

After completing his speech the Mayor sat back on his seat while the children went to their respective families to bid farewell.

Those without family or who arrived alone just stayed where they were and waited for the clock to hit at noon.

The half hours soon passed away and the people started teleporting one by one till only people who arrived to see the process, the family members, and the mayor remained.

"The process is done so those who will survive will come back three years later at the same place."

And the mayor went back to his mansion. And people to returned back.

In a large area filled with green grass, many people suddenly started materializing one by one till a few thousand people filled the area.

The noticing things were all of them were young people from the age group of 15

The majority of the people started looking around thinking about what they had to do as they knew they had to face the challenge and what this challenge was and what they had to do no one knew.

As if noticing their dilemma a voice was heard by everyone in their head

""Welcome to trial,Young Ones""

Shocked by the sudden voice everyone started looking around noticing whether they were the only ones who heard it or everyone heard it.

But after noticing the shock, and confusion on everyone's faces they understood that this was a part of the trail 

""I am the trial taker, as you already know that you will undergo a trial where there are only two outcomes either you pass or you die.""

""The trail will be held in a different place where you will be teleported shortly, before going you were to imagine the 'Yantra' you are comfortable with be it 'Astra' or 'Shastra'."

""A normal 'Yantra' will be provided to you and any outside 'Yantra' you bought will not be allowed to take to the trail ground."'

Everyone then started to imagine the 'Yantra' they are comfortable with be it 'Astra' like bow and arrow, chakram or it 'Shastra' like sword, spear or mace, etc 

After everyone was done with their 'Yantras'

They were teleported to the place where the trial would be held.

The place where all the teenagers arrived was like a ruin where once some civilization used to reside.

There were houses, stores, and all other buildings. As the people started looking around the voice from before arrived but this time it was not in the head from the sky.

[The Trail will commence in ten minutes, The goal of the trail is to survive the zombie hoard. The more zombies you kill the more points you will get.]

[The Significance of points will be later revealed, but know that it is very important. So Do your best to collect as many as possible.]
