Scorch Sanctuary [3]

Arya soon crossed the remaining distance of the tunnel and reached its end.

On his way from the entrance to the final floor, he noticed that the heat was increasing, and in the last few meters, it increased exponentially.

In this heat, a normal person can't even stand properly, but as Arya was an initiate rank, he could take this easily with his body.

He then reached the end of the tunnel and there he stood in front of the semicircular entrance.

Due to the intense light coming from inside,  he wasn't able to do what was inside.

*Huff*.

After taking a deep breath, Arya entered through the semicircular entrance.

'This is the final step, just one more beast and I will have it.'

Inside the depth of the mountain was an empty cylindrical chamber with a height of more than 50 m.

At the bottom of this chamber, molten magma flows, casting an ominous glow over the place

In the middle of the cylindrical place was a circular platform, with eight pathways diverging towards different entrances in the mountain.

It was like a naturally formed area, over the magma floor.

Arya was astonished by the beauty of this place. It was the art crafted by the goddess nature itself.

As he was admiring the view, he soon noticed someone on that platform.

On a rock throne, on the opposite end of the circular platform looking directly at Arya was a beast.

This beast was way bigger than any other Chimscorch beast, he faced on his way here.

[You have entered the boss room, please defeat the boss monster 'Kongscorch'.]

Kongscorch was an 8-ft tall beast.

Covered with fiery reddish-brown fur, Its hands are equipped with sharp claws, capable of both climbing and delivering scorching blows to its foes. Flames dance along its tail, leaving a trail of heat and embers in its wake.

'So, that's how he looks huh?! Well, his characteristics match those of the boss monster mentioned in the book. Then his tantras too will also be the same.'

Arya recalled the information from the book about the boss monster.

'He is as strong as the troll from the Inner level!'

'Well let's see, how much stronger had I become since that fight, as to defeat that troll we all work together.'

'Ok, let's do this and defeat this big fat ugly monkey!!'

After this inner monologue and motivating himself.

Arya crossed the path and reached the circular platform, the path was wide enough for him to walk and not fall into the magma.

But he has to be careful during the fight with the boss monster, as he can fall into the magma if he isn't careful during the fight.

And if falls into the magma, he is as good as dead.

Ever since Arya arrived in the boss room, the beast hadn't made a move and was just watching the human enter and reach the platform.

The Boss monster isn't even considering the human a threat. He will just kill him with a slap.

So, when Arya crossed the path and reached the platform.

The Boss monster, 'Kongscorch' got up from his throne and took a few steps towards the center, then he pointed his hand towards Arya and made a gesture towards Arya.

He made the gesture to come and attack.

As if he was telling, he is giving Arya the first attack.

Arya who was fully alert, when the boss monster got up, seeing the gesture of the beast, understood that the beast was not taking him seriously.

The boss is not even considering Arya as a threat.

And is even giving him the first attack.

Arya didn't get provoked by the beast for not talking to him seriously, and gladly took the first attack.

Why wouldn't he, the beast is offering himself on a silver platter.

Arya then poured a quarter of his Jiva into the spear and started sprinting towards the beast.

When the boss monster saw the human enter, he didn't take him seriously.

So he even allowed him to attack first.

But as the human was running and his spear started shining a little, he felt a little threat.

But he doesn't want to accept that this human is a threat. So, he didn't try to counter him.

But just decided to take this attack head-on with his tough skin, which is tempered under the strong fire in this place.

Arya after reaching the beast, leaped into the sky and thrusts his spear at the heart of the beast.

When the Kongscorch saw the attack hit him in the chest and was going towards his heart.

And will Peirce, if he didn't stop the attack get scared of dying, and use his tantra?

'Primary Tantra- Fire Fist!'

As he was an awakened beast, his primary tantra was similar to that of dormant members of the race, but his was much stronger and was on a completely different level.

He then pushed the spear before it could properly enter his body, as it had just pierced the skin.

As Arya was Fully focused on the thrust, he too was sent sliding with the spear.

As he was sliding he quickly used his spear, to stop himself from falling into the lava.

And he was able to stop himself at the end of the platform, he then quickly got up and saw the Kongscorch.

Who was checking the wound he received just now, though not deep it still hurt his pride, as the skin he was so proud of was Pierced just like that.

And by a human, who he thought was a fly.

He got angry and just wanted to burn this human alive.

"Koooooooooonngg."

He roared and the fire from his tail started spreading all over his body and formed a fire cloak

'Secondary Tantra- Blaze viel'

This is the secondary tantra the Kongscorch has, it allows him to create a veil or cloak on his body.

That improves all of his physical abilities like strength, and agility. But the thing that improves the most is his defense, as this fire cloak was very hard on Peirce with Yantra and too hot to touch.

Arya noticing that the monster is going to go all out, decides to do the same.

On his way here, when he was fighting all these monsters.

He thought of something, that if he could improve his attack by pouring his Jiva into his spear and enhance his attacks.

Couldn't he improve his defense, if he covered himself in his jiva?

So he tried many times in the dungeon when he was resting or was not in combat.

But this was not as easy as it sounded.

There were many problems like the Jiva quantity. Arya doesn't know if his quantity is more or not than other people of his age.

But it is not enough to cover himself.

He has to spend all jiva just to cover himself for just 5 seconds.

And after that, he doesn't have much energy left to do anything for a while.

The second problem was the control, though his overall control of the energy had improved in comparison to the first time.

Due to the training and fighting, it still isn't enough to control the output when he covers himself.

He noticed that more than half of the Jiva got lost during the process when he covered himself.

But due to the regular practice for the last few days, he can now cover his torso, hands, and legs individually, though for a small time frame. But he doesn't pass out.

Right now, Arya had three-fourths of his jiva left after the first strike.

And he knew that for a strong killing strike, he would need approximately half of his total reserves.

So he has to fight with the remaining amount, till he reaches the right place and go for the killing strike.
