what's the point of having the ordinary souls just meandering there doing nothing? I thought in mythology they were reincarnated after drinking a soup? I always picked something like an upgraded Vagas when I read Hades Fics about the underworld đ
You're confusing greek and chinese myth, In the original greek version that's whatvthey do, though I think it would be more original if the souls actually had some autonomy to live eternal second lives and work to develop the underworld rather than wander around doing nothing. I thought yhe mc was supposed to bring some originality, not follow greek myth almost to the letter for no reason. You would expect that someone from modern times would make better use of an unaging, undying, ever expanding workforce than let them wander around for eternity? Like even if any demigod randomly wandered in, would they be able to fight off several thousand of the dead who are combat ready and have been training for centuries, who also are unafraid of death due to already being dead? The reincarnation thing is Chinese myth related /:buddhism as well, but it is wholly unrelated to western mythology.
Iâm shocked at how many people are enjoying this story, itâs clearly just chatGPT describing hades origin. Imagine being reborn with godly powers and making the EXACT same mistakes as the original for no reason, just wait till we have to read about the âOCâ falling in love and abducting his niece đ I donât believe a human is dumb enough to write this, canât believe there are those that enjoy it
Nice start for the underworld! It feels right. I personally hope as it expands heâll add more features and even create beautiful undead creatures. Something tied to fossilâs maybe? Or possibly a metallic inland sea with ghostly ships sailing pass island forts and resorts? Canât wait to read more. :)
I expected more change to the Underworld, not just a place where the dead pass through and where those who committed 'sins' are punished. Instead, I envisioned it as a realm or kingdom that would blend different perspectives and cultures. Something akin to, for example, the novel 'Hades in the Multiverse' by Cedric_7512 (by the way, I only mention this to provide it as an idea; I still love the novel).
