The writing quality is pretty good, but the plot is exceedingly slow and boring in my opinion. Ended up dropping because the author decided to develop romance with prepubescent MC rather than waiting for the academy or afterwards. I know the MC is reincarnated but kurenai and others aren’t so it was really distasteful.
It’s bad, I think the author doesn’t understand villain novels. The “villain” MC in this novel, instead of cutting off the “protagonist” with schemes and conspiracies from the dark, decides to commit violent and psychotic crime in full view of the public. This alienates every sane character and makes him look disturbed, but the heroine somehow swoons over this. I won’t mention the awkward writing because I think it may be a translation or ai, but this plot is like drinking poison. I like to read trash novels but I expect trash of a certain quality. I got tricked by the villain tag…
Highly talented author, excellent story so far. Mc has a really powerful kitsune pet (mind reading, supernatural strength, illusion, mind control, flame manipulation, assassination, etc.), hopefully it is used as more of a social character than as a deus ex machina plot armor device but I’m probably wrong. I think having a reasonably strong main character is ultimately more satisfying than someone overpowered that can win without trying, fingers crossed
Translation is acceptable. Story I s interesting and exciting, even with the nonsensical premise and Chinese tropes. Super short chapters though, which is understandable because this seems manually edited. And the translator doesn’t remove meta chapters where he makes announcements, so as of chapter 35ish I’ve read like 9 or 10 chapters. Some readers might want to wait for the story to develop before picking this one up. I got a little frustrated with cliffhanger city, but that also means I’m interested in what happens next
So when an author uses chatGPT to write their book there are two big rules you have to follow to avoid creating brain rot. Number 1: Don’t use ChatGPT to write romance, it completely fails. Author patches this by making the MC the most handsome in the world and have automatic aphrodisiac and mind control power, a tried and true classic by Chinese authors. Number 2: don’t use chatGPT to write dialogue. Author actually does pretty well with this, not sure if he manually writes the dialogue or just edits it carefully. But the author actually breaks a new forbidden rule that I have never seen before... HE USED CHATGPT TO WRITE AN R18 SCENE!!!! Never have I ever read something so unsexy and cringe inducing in my entire life, I literally could not look away because it just kept shocking me at how the ai thought an intercourse scene should work. It was like watching a slow motion trainwreck. all at once im confused, irritated, and thankful for such a unique experience. Would not recommend. Its in Chap26 btw
You can tell because everything is described in a lot of detail with lots of adjectives and the odd word choice is always a dead giveaway. GPT can be almost invisible when authors use it to write a paragraph or to describe a single scene, but when it’s used to write entire stories the language becomes very awkward and there is no narrative “flow”. Hopefully newer versions of creative AI will fix this in the future, but currently it can be really exhausting and quite irritating to read
Why on earth would an author choose to make their MC such an insufferable dickhead??? I’m only 4 chapters in and I already want to shove him in a locker. Choose to reincarnate as rias twin brother only to spend time making her cry and wanting to beat her up?????????? I’m so baffled, Author has to be trolling
