To be honest, I am not sure how there are tons of reads on this one. They forced they lady in her sophomore yr of college to marry a man 8 yrs older than him. The girls family didn't have a choice because the guys family cannot be offended and the guys father pressured the girls family into marriage. The Ji family didnt like her and the husband didn't like her either. He watched her be bullied and didn't side with her. He hated her. And I don't know how this would go about. It is probably a story who would have a ton of misunderstanding s.

It's well written. It's well translated. It's an okay story. I just can't get over the fact that this is a forced a marriage and it all begins because the parents felt intimidated in the butler was just too polite so they had no chance to say no.... why would the author even go this route? Just write the parents as evil who are selling their daughter for a profit. or write them as absolutely going against this marriage and protesting to protect their daughter and they come up with a better excuse for why their daughter would agree like a fat paycheck or something. these constant stories that are supposed to take place in the modern day of people being forced to get married or just reinforcing ridiculous stereotypes about China in general and are trying to romanticize purchasing a woman as a sexual commodity in order to breed her..

I'll give this book 6.8/10, I liked it but the ending is rushed and I feel like it's missing something in the plot, however, this story is new to me and I kinda like it alot

It's really good. The story development is very interesting. Just no mother in law daughter in law quarrel, no cheating father, no step siblings schemes, simply family problems, how it's solved, bonding of family, generation gap problems and last not the least bonding of main leads and female lead's friends. If you want to read a simple comedy, family, love story just read it.I just love it

excellent book characters develop very well throughout story only downside is the ending is very rushed and you don't find out what happened to some of the characters which is very disappointing

The Male Lead is portrayed as a strong and rebellious one but in front kf his Father, he is a weakling. Just like his brother. Truly how the ML treated his wife is may blood pressure rise. And why should the Female Lead becomes a pushover? Why return and be punished? Nah, she might be strong but she’s jus stupid in front of that husband

Nice quick read. Keeps you on your toes. Really enjoyed the relationship that was developed between the couple.

so touching and im crying for the part of his sister can remember who"s family she belong to. and the reunion part was totaly touching. even they happy but oh my...i"m feel so sad when their mother passed away after seeing her child corpse and can"t accept the thruth of reality that her daughter no longer in this world.

I really love reading this novel. I wish it could have more chapters to it.
