To be honest, I am not sure how there are tons of reads on this one. They forced they lady in her sophomore yr of college to marry a man 8 yrs older than him. The girls family didn't have a choice because the guys family cannot be offended and the guys father pressured the girls family into marriage. The Ji family didnt like her and the husband didn't like her either. He watched her be bullied and didn't side with her. He hated her. And I don't know how this would go about. It is probably a story who would have a ton of misunderstanding s.

The grandfather is even., argh!!!! He treats her as an eyesore but doesn't he realize that because he forced the marriage everything is falling apart and he just scolds the FL and sides with the elder childs' wife just because he had been with her longer. He was the root of it all. Do not be fooled by the synopsis. It might sound sweet however, there is a lot of bullying that happened at the beginning who would even have the heart to continue reading if he treated her well after the 500-something chapter. Who would even love a person who didn't treat you well from the beginning. Like he just watches the FL get bullied.

It's well written. It's well translated. It's an okay story. I just can't get over the fact that this is a forced a marriage and it all begins because the parents felt intimidated in the butler was just too polite so they had no chance to say no.... why would the author even go this route? Just write the parents as evil who are selling their daughter for a profit. or write them as absolutely going against this marriage and protesting to protect their daughter and they come up with a better excuse for why their daughter would agree like a fat paycheck or something. these constant stories that are supposed to take place in the modern day of people being forced to get married or just reinforcing ridiculous stereotypes about China in general and are trying to romanticize purchasing a woman as a sexual commodity in order to breed her..

It's really good. The story development is very interesting. Just no mother in law daughter in law quarrel, no cheating father, no step siblings schemes, simply family problems, how it's solved, bonding of family, generation gap problems and last not the least bonding of main leads and female lead's friends. If you want to read a simple comedy, family, love story just read it.I just love it
