I understand why you would feel like this. but I thought this was going to turn into a multiverse travel series eventually where his trains while strong for being on the boys world would put him as average across other franchises. its cool if you can't come up with anything right now. just remember even the regular homelander in the boys doesn't struggle when fighting an opponent. I hope you continue this story. even in just 2 chapters im already invested in seeing where it goes next
I understand your point and I get that you wanted to make a streghtn progession but hear me out, what if the MC can get new powers as long as he get's stronger ? He is fast but you never mentioned how, he is strong but 100 tons is nothing compared to Superman who can lift quintillions of tons . The ideal with this story would have been having km/h and Tons that the Mc is capable of resisting and then as long as he keeps training, he could get to discover and unlock new abilities ( not with a system but his own DNA talents/skills ) .
your mistake is the same the superman writers keep making yes you have an overpowered protagonist but try to think outside the violence box what you need to do is make this story about the moral struggle to stay the paragon and take down the protagonist adversaries have the mc solve murders stop natural disasters have the mc go up against mind controllers and save or lose the victim stop human trafficking all the while the mc becomes more tempted to just take over to create a better world and have it be an inner struggle not to also add aliens make them a factor at first but have an infiltrator steal compound v and have a base on mars
I See….I ain’t gon lie, i was enjoying the fanfic and when I saw a new chapter, I was pretty excited to see what Homelander could do…but imagine how I felt clicking your story only to see that it wasn’t the amazing chapter I was expecting but…a apology...It was pretty devastating…now, don’t get me wrong, I understand why you put the book on hiatus but still…*sigh* You know what…Have a great day and I hope you reach the level of writing you wish to reach. *walks away*
It's also good to have an OP MC the fight scene can be funnier a bit short its yes but it could be slice of life also the way people see him how he sees himself even seeing the original homlander in the series and the comics his relationship with queen maeve and the other heroes how he interacts is some idea
you do you but if i could make a suggestion you could do it like superboy for example the villians came together to put a end to are hero and he fought to disable and not kill and towards the end one of the guys who can manipulate space gets a luck shot and sends him away the spatial turbulents destroys his body he the comes out wounded and after recovering due to the injury can only exert the power of superboy and can use his real power temp. for only a certain amount of time before the "hidden" injuries act up putting him in a weak state till he recovers
