As most chinese mcs do (klein excluded), mc makes dumb decisions and takes stupid actions which inevitably cause the veteran reader's brain cells to die, one single mistake of these would have been enough to get a god's attention on klein in the original and get him killed immediately, and this mc makes several.

It's a good fanfic, even if some of the plot can be questionable. I sadly dropped this novel, there are too many grammatical errors, phrases that confused me, mistakes like anternately calling a character "he" and "she" continually, this broke my flow of reading, like finding a bump on the road every few seconds.

Story is pretty mild, MC is passive, many unecessary female character making it look like a harem but its really not. story will get pretty boring until you realized MC's butterfly effect already cause silent earthquake across the world in the background ever since he become sequence 8. His butterfly is large enough to fill the seats of tarot club. MC's pathway doesn't end with The White Tower or God Almighty, he doesnt want to be someone's king of angel and the pathway he chooses already has a god that's why story title is Mystery: "START" as a reader. theres a high chance he will change pathway.

I should've listent to other readers, this is just a frustrating read. MC is dumb, yea, thats the biggest problem with this novel. It stem from author lack of cannon knowledge and inconsistent plotline but it ends up making MC comes off as a dumb. Now, i wont have a problem if mc is a little dumb if it was typical xianxia plotline but here he choose the worse possible pathway thats related to knowledge and intelligence which ends up making the plotholes even more frustrating. Anyway, for new readers, only read this if you can turn off your brain and not think too deeply.

i love the story (though it might just be me missing TLOM) even though some of his actions could have gotten Klein killed but it goes to show how perfectly imperfect he is because if we had another MC as cunning as Klein then that'd be boring. i love the time spent on TLOM's lore and how his actions no matter how passive they were had invisible shockwaves on the characters and world as a whole. i love the world background and the writing quality (then again I'm no professional critic) i also love the fact that he used similar terms with cuttlefish which reminds us of and also makes us forget we're not really reading TLOM.

I like it. Forget that LotM fanfiction is painfully rare, the interaction between MC and many of the other characters, especially Klein, is delightful. Its like watching a seasoned spy trying to maintain face while talking against a willing whistleblower acting like a acholar. Hilarious.

didnt get too far into the story because the MC is creating a mess of things and when he realizes what he did he just went and made an even bigger mess, he is basically a broadcast station for forbidden LOTM knowledge and cant seem to keep his mouth shut for even 1 day, but this is not surprising as he seems like a low key fanboy of the tarot club and fanboys are like puppies they are so excited to meet their owners they cant help but shit all over the carpet creating a mess for everyone 3 stars only cause stability of updates and word background (being a fanfic) with decent writing quality are saving it

It's actually surprisingly good, as far as fanfiction goes. Even the raw mtl is surprisingly legible. I do have to agree with other posters though, that the sequence advancement is crazy slow. Ex. MC is seq. 9 at chapter 8, seq. 8 at chapter 27, seq. 7. at chapter 58, Sequence 6. at chapter 271, Sequence 5 at chapter 594, Sequence 4 at chapter 900, Sequence 3 at chapter 1077, and so on. It's definitely very drawn out.

The best LOM Fanfic I have read up till now. The Reader pathway is really a interesting choice! Mr. Author if you are thinking about writing an additional LOM Fanfic, may I suggest writing a dark vigilante story where the MC gets contaminated with an beyonder characteristic of the Abyss pathway? I'd love for someone to struggle against becoming a monster while acting like the sequences demand it.
