Chapter 1Chapter 1:

Slap!!

There are many ways I have woken up in my short life of 18, but this was the first. Firstly my cheek was in pain. My hands were tied to my back, surprisingly. My feet were left loose.

Not opening my eyes, I tried to clear my head.

"Wake up, human!" Someone shouted, pulling me up to my knees. Still not opening my eyes, I tried to teleport away only to feel a giant wall blocking me.

'Tch, where the fuck am I? Last I remember, was being attacked in my private Dojo.' I thought, trying to get the ropes off my hands.

"Are you awake, Ren Bell?" A deep voice said in front of me.

'Did he just talk in the demon language, Narlic?' I thought, opening my eyes slowly. Looking in the direction the voice came from, I saw a 3-meter-tall blue skin man sitting on a red throne. He had black hair and black eyes. He was also not wearing any shirt showing his well-toned upper body, well bulky body to be exact. What stood out the most was his black ram-like horns on his head.

"Aah, it seems you are." The Demon said, sitting on a red throne.

'Fuck, how did I end up here.' I thought, looking around confused. I notice a younger female demon standing next to the Demon on the throne. She also had ram-like horns on her head with black hair. Her body shape was well-toned for a female model with pearl skin. Surprisingly, she had the same colour eyes as the lightweight red battle armour with a thin sword on her waist. Probably a rapier.

"What are you looking at, Human." The young female Demon said, narrowing her eyes at me and unleashing killing intent seeing me look at her.

"Hmm," Ignoring her, I looked around the room, looking for an escape route.

"I don't think she can understand us, Dear." The Blue Demon said to the female next to him.

"Humans are so dumb can't even understand something so simple as a language. Don't you think we should just kill her father?" The female said, putting her hand on her sword on her hanging from her waist.

"Dear, we don't speak their language. Why are you expecting them to talk in ours?" The blue Demon said, shaking his head.

"That's no excuse for her not to understand my killing intent."

"Can you understand English, Girl?" I suddenly said in fluent Narlic surprising everyone in the room.

'43 demons around me and the 2 on the throne with weapons, and most of them I already saw in videos of the battlefields. That must mean I am in the demon king's castle.' I thought, smirking at the young demon girl.

"YOU!" the Demon girl yelled, grabbing the handle of her sword.

"To think you can talk our language so fluently." The Demon King said, interrupting his daughter while grabbing her sword out of her hands. Looking at his daughter, he added. "Calm down. We are only here to talk."

"Talk! She killed Darian! She must pay for killing him!" The girl yelled at her father with the crud, shouting to confirm her statement.

"Yes, in a fair fight, she won. That does not mean we will execute her." The demon King said sternly.

"GRRR, fair fight? I bet she just used-ugh!" The demon girl shouted, only to be hit over the head. Looking bewildered at her father, she spoke. "Why did you hit me!?"

"Shut up and leave now. You are only going to get annoying if you stay!" The demon king said, pointing at the door behind me.

"Grr." Grinding her teeth, she did as her father said and walked towards the exit.

"Better go study some English, girly," I said, not missing the opportunity of her walking past me.

"You!"

"Julia!"

"Tch, you're lucky."

"Julia, leave now." The demon king said in a low voice, making my back shiver a bit.

"Yes, father," Julia said, running out as fast as she could.

Bang!

"If anyone else wants to leave, now is your chance to do so. I will not blame you." The demon king said, making me narrow my eyes at him.

'How did he know?' I thought, feeling the ropes around my wrist go slack.

"I guess there is a reason why you are the king of demons," I said, bringing my hands to the front before standing up with my right hand supporting me. Seeing my actions, everyone in the throne room except the king took a few steps away, drawing their weapons.

"You are full of surprises. Your file has nothing on you about you are being good at escaping and talking Narlic." The king praised with a smile.

"Of course, it doesn't. I never told anyone about it." I said, rubbing my wrist before a question popped in my head. "How do you know what's in my file."

"Of course, it was in our dealings with the humans." A demon next to my right said.

"What deal?" I said, looking between the demon king and the one who talked.

"The deal for peace. We get you for our revenge for killing Darian Protar, and the humans get a peace agreement from us." Another demon said, this time to my left.

'Did they give me a secret mission? No, then they wouldn't have sent them to capture me. Ha-ha, I got betrayed by my own country.' I thought, feeling my anger reach its limits. 'Fuck it. I won't go down easily.'

"Oh, I see, but did you think I will go out with some execution."

"That's not what-"

"Heh, what do you think you can get out of this place alive." A demon to my right said, brimming with confidence.

'Seeing how the demon king is passive, I guess this isn't what it seems like.' I thought, seeing the demon king sighing in defeat.

"Tch tch tch, the question is more will you get out of here alive?" I said, smirking at the Demon.

"Attack!" Hearing a man command, everyone started running at me.

"WAIT!" The king shouted, but no one heard him.

"Too late, King," I said, teleporting behind everyone. Grabbing the closes demon's neck, I crushed it in my hand, killing him instantly.

"Behind us." The demons yelled, turning around.

"Too slow," I said mockingly, teleporting onto a pillar with the dead Demon's body. Lifting the corpse up, I took the sword out of the corpse's hand. I smirked at them and said arrogantly, throwing the body to the guys under me. "Let's get started."

Teleporting away again, I appeared behind a demon, stabbing him in the heart. Pulling out the sword sideways, blocking and pushing back two demons who attacked me from the side.

"Whahaha, you guys are as weak as ants!" I yelled with a crazy smile, blocking another sword. I grabbed the Demon's head before crushing it.

"Get her!"

"Get who," I said from behind him before cutting his head off.

"Just kill her already!"

It was total mayhem. No one could hit me, and I was going on a massacre.

"Ha-ha, Mister king, aren't you going to do something?" I said, appearing on a pillar, looking down at the demon king still sitting on his throne.

"…"

"Not saying anything? tsk, how boring," I said, teleporting away continuing my massacre.

"Augh!"

"Kill her!"

"Die!" The last Demon said, rushing at me just to lose his head.

"Ha-ha, what is next," I said, looking at the demon king smirking all the while.

"Enough!"

Boom!

"Cough, cough, you finally moved, huh?" I said, coughing while struggling in the demon kings' hand, around my throat, pushing me against the wall.

"You killed all of them in 2 minutes flat." The demon king said, narrowing

"I killed your general do you think it was some kind of fluke? Whatever it's not like, I will tell you anything."

"And why won't you do that."

"Because then I can do things like this," I said, disappearing from his grasp before appearing next to him stabbing a sword into his gut.

"Hmm, sadly, that won't work on me." The demon king said, looking down at me.

"What!?" I said, baffled, looking at him wide eye.

'Shit, how dumb can I be. To think that might work on him. I should have just used my hands.' I thought, calming myself down.

"I am not as fickle as the rest of the demon race." the Demon king said, pulling the sword out with ease.

'Nah, my hands wouldn't have worked. Guess running is the best.' I thought, thinking about my escape plan.

"I guess you're right. You are the demon king after all." I said, teleporting towards the door.

Boom!

"Ugh," grunting in pain, feeling the demon grab onto me again the instant I arrived in front of the door.

"I won't let you just go like that, you know." The demon king said, looking down at me on the floor again.

'As I thought I am too slow.'

"Well, can't hurt to try," I said, letting go of all my fight I had.

"Giving up?"

"What can I do. I was betrayed by my family, my country, and probably my friends. I have nothing left but my pride dying in a fight." I said, looking into the air.

"Betrayed? You, humans, were given peace because of your sacrifice. How is that betrayal."

"Do you know how many people of the army I saved? 100 000 easily, but look at the thanks I get. I got attacked at my private Dojo that only my close friends knew off. They even used an elite group made out of 12 SSS ranks to capture me. where I did kill half of them in self-defence."

"This sounds like bragging." The demon king said with a deadpan expression.

"I am pointing out what happened to me before all this and that they are ungrateful… badly trained, and useless," I said, flaring my hands around in frustration.

"But didn't you give yourself up?"

"Hell no, were you listening. Why would I do something like that? I never told anyone what I could do. I am quite selfish. Anyways just after I killed the general, I retired from the army. I was planning to travel the world because there was no use of me staying with the army anymore." I said, getting a bit dressed.

"Oh, and why are you not needed in the army?"

"I had only one goal when I joined, but that never happened even after killing your general," I explain, not moving.

"Do you mind telling us your story before we move on?" A female voice said from behind the demon king.

"You must be the demon queen?" I said, seeing the demon king leaving me alone.

"Yes, I am."

"I see well. I don't mind if it brings the true colours of the human race into the light for you," I said, sitting up cross-legged.

Like everyone else, Vivian was repeatedly reminded not to disobey the rules. Leonard scoffed at the girl. "Does it hurt?" Vivian asked, gently kneeling beside him and examining the several bruises covering his face. "Not that much." Remembering what her mother used to do when she got a bruise, Vivian brought her sleeve to her mouth and blew warm air on it before placing it on the boy's cheek, taking him by surprise. Leonard swatted her hand away, a hint of pink appearing on his cheeks embarrassed, "W-what are you doing?" "Mama told me this will make the pain go away," the girl held her hand close to her chest as she shared her past memory. "I’m not a child!” Leonard huffed at her. “I don’t think you’re a child,” she stared at him with a crystal-clear gaze. Taken aback, Leonard locked eyes with her for two seconds before shaking his head. “Don’t worry about it. They’ll heal in a day or two anyways," he reassured her before getting up and taking a seat at the table where his books were placed. "Odd girl," he muttered to himself as he pulled the top book from the stack and lost himself in it.
