DXD: New Life

It had been a while since everything was apparently calm for our favorite group of Demons, after the battle against the beast of the apocalypse: Trihexa.

Thanks to the combined effort of all the Factions as well as the God of Destruction Shiva, what could have been the end of the world and its derivatives could have been stopped.

All was peace and tranquility.

So too.

A little over a year had passed since Hyodo Issei had become a demon and discovered he was the current [Sekiryuutei].

A rather eventful year if you ask him.

Going from being ʺThe Perverted Beastʺ, who all the girls at Kuoh Academy ran away from and then getting stabbed to death by his first girlfriend, to being "The Red Dragon Emperor" and always being surrounded by 11 beautiful girls was quite a change if you asked him.

However, things were not always going well.

Since the school year had started almost six months ago, things for our hero had only gotten worse.

Rias and Akeno had entered Kuoh University and there they had met a teacher named Kaito, who was quite young and good looking for a teacher.

This had caused both girls to have a crush on him, to the extent that they no longer took much notice of the boy or tried to seduce him, something that had affected the brown-haired boy quite a bit.

Asia, Xenovia and Irina had ended up in a different room from the boy and now that the blonde was the new head of the Club of Investigation of the Occult she had many more responsibilities to spend time with him.

Same with Xenovia who was the new Student Council President.

To top it off, the three of them had met three rather "cute" boys in their words, with whom they were currently spending all their time together, much to Issei's chagrin.

On the other hand, Ravel and Koneko, having become second year students, had been quite busy preparing for their exams and studying so as not to get bad grades as in Issei's case.

Because of that, the time they shared with the brown boy had been drastically reduced, besides Koneko had been getting very close to a Third year boy who gave her free math tutoring, something Issei was simply an idiot about.

Only Rossweisse was the one who used to spend time with him, but three months ago she had been summoned by Odin in Asgard and there was no sign of her.

It should be said that lately she was behaving strangely in the eyes of issei, blushing or shyly avoiding his gaze when he paid her any compliments, which was an unknown to him.

It was the same with Ophis who also spent time with him, she had a month without being home having gone to the Dimensional Rift to ʺtalkʺ with Great Red.

Kuroka and Le Fay had been called by Vali, which was why they had not communicated with him for a while.

Kiba had gone into counseling for exams for college.

Gasper had tried to improve his manhood and had joined the soccer club... but he had ended up on the girls' team, so he was busy with training.

Yes, Hyodo Issei was alone again.

Right now, the self-appointed future Harem King was walking aimlessly through the streets of the city, he had been in depression for weeks now and the sad reality was that none of his companions present seemed to care or had even noticed.

A sigh escaped his lips as he slipped his hands into his jacket pockets.

He would have continued like that, had it not been for an advertisement in the window of a musical instrument store.

It consisted of an electric guitar, an amplifier and several useful accessories at a good price.

When he saw the instrument, a feeling of nostalgia invaded him, remembering that when he was twelve years old he used to have the same Guitar, but he left it aside when he entered the Kuoh Academy because he became obsessed with breasts.

Checking his wallet, he pulled out his credit card and looked at it somewhat hesitantly, before making a decision.

Twenty minutes later

issei was coming out of the store with a case on his back, as well as a large box under his arm, with his Demon strength it was no problem to carry the heavy load.

He headed towards the park, where he sat on a bench near the fountain.

- If this keeps up I'll go crazy, I guess this might be a good distraction - He said to himself with his gaze lost in the firmament.

He heard the Dragon say.

The boy smiled with some sadness, but grateful.

- Thank you Draig - He thanked before starting to walk towards his home.

Hyodo Residence

The boy entered her house seeing her alone, as she had been for several months.

At first it hadn't affected him, but as time passed, the feeling of abandonment, displacement and loneliness had hit him hard.

He was grateful that the time and company Rosseweise and Ophis were giving him made his stay in that house more bearable.

Climbing the stairs with apparent calm, he reached the doors to his room, hesitating a bit to open it.

Sighing again, he stepped inside the room, reluctantly looking at the huge space, as well as the large bed, which gave him a bad taste in his mouth.

Certainly now that he was sleeping alone, this room seemed too empty to him.

Holding his chest slightly from a small twinge of ʺfantasmaʺ pain, he decided to go to the basement, while pulling a piece of paper with the Gremory symbol from his pocket.

- Did Ise-san need something? - Asked the newly summoned hologram of a certain Maid.

- Actually yes Gray Fia-san, could you come to my house? - he asked as he pressed the elevator button.

- Of course, I'll be there shortly - Replied the silver-haired girl.

- Thank you, you are very kind - he said ending the communication.

If he had paid more attention, he would have noticed the astonished look on the maid's face when she spoke that way.

Then the elevator doors opened, letting him in to mark the top floor.

Minutes later, he was standing in a subway training ground, directing his gaze to where a magic circle appeared.

- Thank you for coming - He said with a small bow, which worried the Maid even more.

- What did Isse-san need me for? - She asked with her usual tone, but without stopping analyzing every expression of the boy.

- I need you to help me with this - He said extending a paper to her.

The silver-haired girl took it, so that when she checked it she found a small plan.

- I want a new subway floor, but I don't want Rias and the others to know about it - He asked with a seriousness rare in him.

The Maid looked at him questioningly at the unexpected request.

issei sighed, walked to a sofa where he sat down, patting the seat next to her.

The silver-haired girl knew that something was wrong with the boy, so she chose to listen to his reasons, so accepting the invitation she sat down next to the brown.

And so, Issei talked to him about what was going on and his concerns.
