Just because he uses a little dark magic doesn't mean he can't use the Patronus spell, people who cannot use it are sorcerers who have their minds "corrupted" by black magic and are unable to think positive thoughts, and since the Patronus spell works with positive thoughts... Example: Snape uses dark magic and is very good at it and he can use the Patronus spell! A good wizard controls his magic but is not controlled by it!
Kinda surreal man, he's in the first year in Hogwarts and already do wandless magic that could kill, and have advanced knowledge in the mind arts (occlumency), and is CREATING spells. I really don't think that even training with a dark lord for a few years as a CHILD makes you basically more powerful than a grown wizard. Very rushed to make the protagonist overpowered, which takes away space for development in the future, like, what will he be doing on the 5th year when he is already at auror level before 12 years old. Dropped.
