A self-insert skeptic wakes up mid-flight inside a prototype Kryptonian escape pod, alone, confused, and accompanied by an oddly out of character powerful A.I.. Before he can panic, Earth comes into view… except it’s not Kansas. It’s Gotham. Reborn as baby Kal-El, this isn’t the familiar Superman story. He’s got a modern mind, a stubborn streak, and no intention of playing along with anyone’s script, especially fate’s. As he grows up with powers and perspective, he’ll chart his own path through a twisted version of the DC Universe, meeting alternate versions of iconic characters across realities, visiting strange worlds, and building complicated relationships.
