One particular thing I have been loving with this novel is the different perspectives. While the attention is catered around our MC, experiencing the world from his friends POV is refreshing (absolutely loved the chapters about Sirius). Especially since those POVs circle back to to what the MC is doing, it really helps flesh the world out and keeps it from being stale. So many novels have a singular POV, and while they can be good, real stories are an accumulation of different perspectives, feelings, actions etc.
