Good story so far, why does he agree to everything this gold dragon assigns? 1st test was do or get catered. 2nd test he gets some experience with his skills, which It sounds like he could have done on his own anyway. 3rd test? And what is the benefit of even being a champion, except having the honor of jumping to when a dragon tells him something? Just curious where this will lead or why?
I'm rather glad it's no longer tiamat. Tiamat is not evil per se, she's just the embodiment of chaos. And in many myths, she was here before the world, before the gods, and before all. Chaos was all there was, and so she did the one thing no one ever expected, but in retrospect considering chaos is exactly what you least expect to happen, happening, she gave birth to order, the world, life and the other God's. Tiamat is a dragon, but she is mother to all of creation. And while God's are some sort of big brother or even parent to many races, tiamat is the First Mother, and none should ever forget that. She however is likely one of the best parents, but surely not the worst. Even though it seems like she does not care, or holds enmity, she is chaos. If she truly wished destruction on any and all, it would be done, instead she lets her family make their own mistakes, and learn from those experiences, never crossing a line to simply annihilate a child of hers because of an error on their part, nor even for rebellion, or their unfillial actions. Tiamat is patient, as she always has been, and always will be. She watches as things happen, because she knows it can happen, but does not try to make it happen, because what will be, simply will be.
The creation of the automaton though was a bit dull. In my mind it was more like creating a completely new or simply another game character. Can modify or simply leave as the same wolf.<Kinda like design> Can divide into parts ; Skin, Muscles, Organs, Blood, Bones. [Leathering, Enchanting, Alchemy, Tailoring, Blacksmithing] (AGI, WIS, INT, END, STR) Leathering can use different combination of hides not a single one, or in parts like tailoring a suit. Enchanting can be supported by a modelling skill or drawing in combination with an enchantment device, "copying", "projection of drawing to 3D", "modification of 3D", "conversion of 3D back to 2D". Alchemy can simply use mana Crystal's to duplicate "all" organs, given new or different functions. Small crystall balls can also be used for the joints. Tailoring, magical thread of different thickness and divided into "five colours", can be used to transmit magical energy that would replace blood. Blacksmithing can be assisted with alchemy for moulds in between with blacksmithing to finish up the process. Finally in the combination, can add "Charm", to intimidate, to appear harmless, to appear favourable. Could could add shapeshifting enchantment to allow it become a human, which is relatively more complex or shrink to a pup, which is relatively simpler also useful for scouting, gathering information or hunting. Could also be a more advanced partner for "Bree the halfling". Basically motivation by the dragon but wolf based creation or just playing with plenty of material that you don't have to buy, that can be used to improve skills or just experimentation (like "Mormmon the magician", remembered he needed funding, so this is like a free research school, maybe).
