That was so sad but a little hopeful. Young Alfred seems like a loveable rogue type of character. a good kid with a bit of mischief.

As with all things, the end was inevitable. Yet I'm always sad when our window into these realms stop expanding, but I am consoled by the fact that I can revisit when I feel like. I honestly don't know if I've Enid this tale more or less than Abuse of Magic, I just know that they're pretty darn close in my heart.

I think the ending was really sad. the character tried to do everything by herself and couldn't find anyone to rely on. she was too shellshocked to stabilize the country she built. non of the citizens care for her, and no one remembers her. her title as the king of the realm was a joke as no one considered her a leader and she acted solely from the shadows. she spared someone who tried to kill her kid for cookies. she almost had a mental breakdown and tried to destroy everything. even the realm died, and her only companion had to replace it. she had no one towards the end. honestly? that felt like shit.

That was a beautiful ending. Yes, tears were shed, but my heart feels full. Thank you so much for the amazing book!
