Queen's Advice

A month went by just like that and Zio seems to have changed a lot in this month, unlike before he became more talkative as he spent a lot of time with Linkin and Jackson and some times with Selistia.

He would encounter Korina in his sword-fighting class and there seems to be something different about Korina, she was not being a stuck up bitch to Zio and was more friendly with him than before.

She did it because she wanted to befriend Zio and also because of something that happened a month ago.

Korina went back to the palace to visit her father and her godmother, the queen.

After she visited her father, she went directly to the queen as she missed her a lot

The queen who is sitting next to her room's window looking at the massive city got distracted as she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" She called the person in as she didn't have anything else to do, she turned her head to look who it is and was surprised to see her goddaughter, Korina.

"Korina, what a pleasant surprise!" She said with a smile on her face, Korina also smiled seeing the queen.

"Mother!" She said and walked towards her and gave her a hug, even though the queen is not her real mother, she treated her as one and called her mother.

"How are you doing? I hope no one is troubling you in the academy?" The queen asked as she brushed Korina's hair with her fingers, the queen is also very close to Korina as she is also the closest thing to family right now.

Her real daughter left the kingdom and her husband is dead, the next family member is none other than Korina and she loved her like her own.

"I am doing fine mother, it's just this one boy in the academy!" She said while puffing her cheek and sat on the chair next to the queen.

"Oh, a boy? Does my little girl like someone?" She asked with a smile, she is now very curious about

"WHAT? NO, I hate him, he even dares to ignore me" She said annoyed, seeing this the Queen just chucked, she knew Korina, as she was the one who raised her from a very young age and she knows what Korina really means.

"What did he do?" She asked.

"This boy doesn't care about anything, while others try their best to get close to me, he doesn't even look at me, and even when he is, he doesn't even care about speaking formally to me, it's like as if my background doesn't even matter to him, even after hearing that I am your godchild!" She said and one could tell that she is very annoyed by hearing her voice.

"Oh? are you mad that a boy didn't notice you?" The queen asked with a smile, she realized that her sweet little princess might have a crush on someone and still doesn't realize it.

"NO, it's not like that, he is very disrespectful!" She said while avoiding eye contact from the queen.

The queen giggled and wondered who this boy is that Korina is thinking about.

"Do you know his name?" She asked.

"Yes, Zio Asura, what a weird name, I have never heard a surname called Asura"

"Zio Asura?" The queen exclaimed.

"Huh? Do you know him?" Korina asked seeing the Queen's expression.

"Isn't that the boy who set the latest record?" The Queen pretended as if she didn't know much about him except him being the boy with the record.

"Yes, that's him, you should see his attitude, he doesn't care about anyone, even that bitch Selistia is trying to curry favors and befriend him!" She said.

"Korina, language" The queen retorted.

"Sorry mother, I just can't help but feel annoyed when I see Selistia around him, she tries so hard to get close to him, the only thing good about him is that he is a muscle head and doesn't care about girls!" She said with some disappointment in her voice which the queen ofcourse noticed.

"Why don't you try to befriend him?" The queen asked.

"Me? befriend him? no way" She answered flustered.

"Sweetheart, it looks like you want to be friends with him so why don't you throw away your pride and see what the boy is really like, who knows he might be a completely different person from inside!" The queen said.

She wondered if her godchild befriends this boy, she might have some use for him in the future, even though she doesn't want to put all her hopes in a boy, it is always better to be safe and see how Zio will develop throughout the year.

The only problem will be the old man, with him behind the boy, they cannot groom him into a loyal soldier.

But sometimes one doesn't need a loyal soldier, one needs a good friend and if Korina becomes good friends will the boy, he might help the kingdom in the future.

After that day, Korina decided to befriend Zio, and just as her godmother said, he was a little different than she thought, he wasn't arrogant and was also very clueless about the modern world, she then realized that he came from a family that used to live inside a forest and didn't mingle with the people in the city.
