Maybe the secret to using the statues to Induce sprirtuality is to have a solid image in their mind when they undergo the procedure? Maybe using it on a mech designer will work because they already have a philosophy, and that will inform how to get mech pilots to succeed. To have a philosophy or lart of one going in to the procedure?

Very differents approach to productivity, it's been studied by many over the years. I am guessing Ves and Gloriana held that argument in private and the apprentices aren't aware he saved some of their skins. If it was done in front of them, Gloriana would lose some authority over them. It's fine if the bosses disagree as long as they present a united front to the employees. In this case, family members.

To sacrifice all to gain is to loose all for something....I feel like the novel might take a turn concerning VES....but Gloriana is someone that we need to watch in the future...I mean after the beyonder gate.......after the hexers found a new state
