Chapter 8- Evolving

John left his room to meet up with the others. As soon as he left, he saw his teammates outside the mansion for his arrival and instructions. He meet up with the others and gave them the zombie cores.

"Bro! How did you get this many amount of zombie cores?!? You even got A class zombie core!" Harry says.

"How did you reached tier 3 D class warrior?!? We all fell asleep! Don't tell me you broke through by sleeping?! That's absurd!" Raymond says.

Of course not... That's impossible but you forgot to state another theory!

"How Raymond and Harry miss another theory?! They're like the teams best strategist and the smartest if we don't include you!" Aqua says.

Well they forgot about another theory... Which is: What if I didn't fell asleep?

"That's impossible! Since it is confirmed that all people and zombies will fall into a deep sleep before the beginning of the apocalypse!" Aqua says.

Aqua... You're so naive. Nothing is impossible! And what if I have an artifact that prevents me from the curse of the apocalypse?

(falling into a deep sleep before the apocalypse is also known as curse of the apocalypse.)

"Can you show me the artifact? I want to see it's rarity." Light says.

Sure thing! I showed him the ring of immunity and she then went to her room to study it.

"So what are we going to do now?" Steve says.

What else? Train and evolve of course! Evolution is the top priority when you are in the apocalypse. You need to become stronger to overpower zombies.

"I guess your right." Steve says.

Some of his teammates consume the zombie core and focus on evolving while some others focused on building a solid foundation.

It's looking good so far. I need to place some defensive artifact around the house so that we can only focus on evolving.

I search my storage ring and found some defensive artifact that can both defend and attack zombies and after killing them, it will collect their cores. A perfect artifact to use for both defending and farming! I got this from a triple S class zombie even though it is not rare, it is still strong enough to hold an attack of a double S class zombie. After removing the artifact from my storage ring, I then placed barrier of defense and farming(Author: I'm not good at naming things so don't blame me:p) outside the wall of my mansion and it then made an invisible barrier.

Now that it is done, I will now focus on evolving. I entered my room and started consuming the C class zombie core. After an hour of absorbing the zombie core, I broke through D class and now I'm a C class warrior. I then focused on solidifying my foundation for an hour and I reached tier 4.

After that, I went to meet up with the others at the guest room in my mansion and to my surprise, most of them are all E class while Harry and Raymond are now D class.

"I'm now tier 3 D class! Are you jealous John!" Harry says with a bragging tone.

Why so swagger Harry! Your just at tier 3 D class while I'm at tier 4 C class!

"Bro, are you a monster?!? Your growth speed is too terrifying!" Harry said it with a shocked tone.

"No wonder you're the team leader! You're simply talented!" Raymond says.

Nah. I'm not talented. But I am not slacking off like the rest of you are!

Some of them are running away since they know that I'm going to give them a new training regimen. I'm pretty strict when it comes to making my teammates stronger and that includes to myself too.

Looks like I'm going to get them back here. Wait for me here, and don't run away or you will be like them who will receive twice the training! I said to the remaining teammates while giving off a murderous intent. This is too troublesome that's why I don't want to be a team leader!
