CHAPTER 36
I just finished eating and was now heading
again to my room to prepare for today's hunt.
Breakfast was quite lively because I overslept I didn't get to go to the promised bathe with Kath which made her sulk.
So I consoled her with a pinky swear to do it tomorrow which Mitts noticed so she also asked to join but Kath who heard it didn't want her to join making Mitts harumphed which lead to them inevitably arguing.
But in the end, I was able to convince Kath to let Mitts join.
Well, you know what they say the more the merrier.
♦
I was now in my room but before getting ready I first checked my stats to see how devouring goblins affects my stats.

Oh, it gave me additional stats?
But... so little!
What in the world that goblin was at least worth a hundred stats I think.
What kind of fraudulent scheme is this!?
My God how stingy... *Sigh*
So I really need to hunt a lot more stronger monsters than a goblin to get at least a decent stat increase huh?
Thinking of fighting a creature stronger than a goblin made me so excited that I couldn't help but smirked.
( Alright, it's time to hunt! ) I was now fired up.
With the same excuse of training magecraft, I left Noah.
Because I didn't get to train this morning I decided to jog to the Y'onora Forest it's also good for a warmup to keep my heart running.
But as expected with my level ups and stat increase from the Goblin jogging 8 kilometers was...
still tiring.
Yup even with all the stat increase it didn't really change that much tho I feel lighter now.
♦
*Huff...* *Hugh...* Huff...*
I was now resting my back on a branch of a three huffing like a well-built army veteran who just finished running for his life from a pack of ugly-looking dogs that would rip you to shreds alive.
"Did I lose them..?" I asked myself silently before wiping the sweat in my eyes that dripped from my forehead.
5 minutes passed in pure silence.
"It seems like I lost them." I said as a sigh of relief escaped my mouth as I got to breathe again.
"Things just got a lot harder for me." I talked to. Myself before rehydrating myself with water.
"Well, it's still on my expectations tho." I sighed.
Since I'm clearly not alone in this forest fighting a monster in this monster-infested place is a big red flag.
And what just happened before was a great example of that.
I was in the middle of fighting the third Goblin encounter today and out of nowhere a pack of ugly-looking dogs joined in, to be honest, they weren't that strong but it was their great number that made them such a threat.
They were like Haynes not that strong but fight in numbers and most importantly thieves!
The Goblin that I worked hard to find and wounded was stolen from me that didn't even fill their greediness as they also wanted me I manage to kill 2 dogs in my rage but inevitably made a run for it.
( Screw them! I'll make sure to pay them back a hundred folds more... ) I thought angrily while a wicked smile formed on my face as I laughed silently like a crazy person.
"No good I should wait until I'm strong enough." I controlled myself.
Well anyway, lesson learned now I should be extra careful.
