chapter 7

They sat there, looking down at the Will in their hands. "Should we read it?" Harry's eyes swept over the people in the room.

"We should…" Remus said, not moving.

"Together?" Sirius asked, making eye contact with Remus, then Harry before turning back to the parchment in his hands. "Ready?" they began reading.

This is the will and testament of James Flemont Potter and Lillian Potter nee Evens

We should start this with an apology. We are sorry, for not being there, for leaving too early. we know we won't be able to watch Harry grow up, we won't be able to watch Remus, Sirius, and Severus' family, our family, grow bigger. And yes, you are family to us.

To Sirius Orion Black-Prince-Lupin

First off, that name is a mouthful, Pads. We love you, and we don't blame you, you couldn't have known that rat would betray us. Don't blame yourself.

We leave you with the Potter Townhouse to share with Remus and Severus, and the contents of vault 388. We love you.

To Remus John Black-Prince-Lupin

Still a mouthful, Moony. We love you, and you don't get to blame yourself either.

We leave you with the Potter Townhouse to share with Severus and Sirius, and the contents of vault 389. We love you.

To Severus Black-Prince-Lupin

First, we want to apologize again for how the Marauders treated you at Hogwarts and how Lily abandoned you in 6th year. We know you have forgiven us, but we want to apologize one last time. You are as much our family as Remus and Sirius are. And don't blame yourself either, we don't.

We leave you with the Potter Townhouse to share with Sirius and Remus, and the contents of vault 340. We love you.

To Frank and Alice Longbottom

We hope that with our death that you will get to raise Neville, and we hope Harry and Neville become the best of friends. You have been good friends in these trying times.

We leave with you the contents of vault 341 and lily's entire collection of shawls.

To Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy

We are thankful to have had you as our friends, even if we had to keep it secret. We thank you for being there with Severus as spies under He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

We leave you with the contents of vault 342, and James' personal calligraphy collection.

To Petunia Dursley nee Evens

To you, dear sister, we leave the contents of vault 343, and all the letters Lily never sent you.

To Harrison James Potter-Black

Our baby, our angel. We are so sorry we can't raise you ourselves. We are sorry we can't be there for you, for your childhood, for when your Hogwarts letter comes, for your 17th birthday, or for your adulthood. We are sorry. We love you.

Everything, with the exception of the mentions above, goes to you.

Lastly, we want to make it known that Peter Pettigrew was our Secret Keeper, with Sirius Orion Black-Prince-Lupin being a consensual decoy.

When we die, we ask that our son go to his blood-adopted parents, Sirius, Remus, and Severus Black-Prince-Lupin. In the events that does not happen, Harry shall go to Frank and Alice Longbottom, or Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy.

This concludes the Will and testament of James Flemont Potter and Lillian Potter nee Evens.

So mote it be.

By the end all three of them were crying. They had nothing to say, nor comment to lighten the mood, but that was ok, Harry thought, sometimes you have to grieve. They sat together on Remus' bed, ending un in a cuddle puddle at some point through their grieving.

The goblins, who had been silent until now sitting at the table at the other side of the room, spoke up when all of them had calmed down, "We give our condolences for your loss," Sharptooth said.

"Thank you," was all that was said, and the silence reigned for a long while.

Suddenly, Harry's eyes widen, and he looked down at the bottom of the parchment in his hand, "Sirius! Sirius, with this we can clear your name! It states bluntly that you were just a decoy! You can be free!" Harry looked excitedly between Sirius and Remus.

That lighten their eyes, "Yes! You're right!" Sirius was smiling now, squishing Remus' hand.

"We have to contact Madam Bones, and get her onto this right away, then!" The amber in Remus' eyes shone with excitement. "I can send her a letter!"

With that decided and the Will out of the way they really didn't have anything more at Gringotts to do at the moment. "I have made a time-table for you, Lord Potter. It has the potions you need to take and at what time you need to take them. I expect you to follow it." Eirenic said before they could leave.

"Don't worry, we'll make sure he takes them," Remus smiled and thanked the goblin healer.

Sharptooth guided them through the maze of corridors back to the floo room, "I will contact Lord Potter when I know when Lord Weasley, Lord Prince, and Lord Malfoy say they will be here." Sharptooth said as they reached the floo room as a goodbye.

Harry fell out of the fireplace, and into the waiting arm of Remus that had gone through the floo before him. "You really need to practice the landing for that," Remus said jokingly, helping Harry right himself up.

"Yeah… I really don't know why I'm so bad with floo travel," Harry answered as Sirius stepped out of the green flames behind him.

"You'll get there someday," Sirius said, ruffling his hair some before stepping more into the room, "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm starving. Kreacher!" Sirius waited for the house-elf to appear with a pop before continuing, "Make dinner for everyone. Do not poison anything," he looked down at Kreacher in mild disgust.

"Nasty master calls for Kreacher, orders him to begin something Kreacher is already doing," Kreacher begin saying to himself.

"Kreacher, how is my aunt and cousin? I hope they didn't demand too much?" Harry stepped around Sirius and smiled at Kreacher, "You said you are already making dinner? Is Aunt Petunia helping? She loves cooking," Harry continues, ignoring Sirius grumbling behind him.

Kreacher looked up at Harry, "Little Master Green! Yes, Madam Petunia and Mister Dudley haves been very kind, Kreacher had beens showing them their rooms and they helps Kreacher with cleaning and cookings of dinner," Kreacher said excitedly, making both Sirius and Remus stunned.

Harry just smiled, "That's good! can I help with anything? Setting the table, or something?" Kreacher shook his head, saying he and Petunia had it all under control and that dinner was about finished anyway, and that they should just come and sit down by the table. He then popped away.

Sirius just stood there, staring at where Kreacher had just popped away from, "What did you do, Pup? Kreacher have never been that kind," Sirius was looking at Harry now, and Remus had also turned his eyes at Harry.

"Well… I was just kind to him? He was also kind of mean to Aunt Petunia, Dudley, and me when we got here earlier, maybe my aunt and cousin did something? It looked like he likes them," Harry said, shrugging his shoulders before walking to the kitchen door. "Before we go in, don't blame them. I'm pretty sure they also have compulsions put on them, probably partly broken now, but still," he looked at Sirius and Remus meaningfully before going into the kitchen."

Dudley was sitting by the table, while Kreacher and Aunt Petunia were bustling around the kitchen, finishing finale touches. Soon all was sitting and eating dinner. The silence was kind of awkward, but Harry didn't really mind.

"So, how did it go, Harry?" Harry's eyes shoot up to look at his aunt. She looked very awkward, like she was unsure of what she said was okay. When was the last time she called me by my name? was the only thing that came to mind.

"What?" was Harry's elegant response.

"How did the meeting at Gringotts go? You have been gone for 7 hours, and you come back looking different, and with two strange men," she said, looking anywhere but at him.

"Ah, I forgot you haven't met before; these are Remus and Sirius. They are two out of three of my blood-adopted fathers," Harry said, not looking at Sirius, and Remus. Harry continued, "And well, how it went at Gringotts? I am a Lord now. We found out that Dumbledore are even more manipulative that ever thought possible, and Sirius is soon a free man," Harry summarized.

Dudley looked up from his food and to Harry, "Sirius? Sirius Black? Your serial killer godfather?" He asked, and Harry suddenly remembered that they didn't know that Sirius was innocent.

Before he could rectify that mistake though Sirius began howling with laughter, and even Remus let out a few chuckles. After a while "That's what you told them?" was choked out, Sirius was almost crying from laughing too much.

"I may have forgotten to mention the small detail that you were farmed…" Harry said sarcastically to Sirius before turning back to Aunt Petunia and Dudley, "Sirius was framed, he hasn't killed anyone," he looked meaningfully at Aunt Petunia and Dudley.

Properly sobered up from his laughing fit, Sirius looks at Aunt Petunia, "The meeting at Gringotts went well, we have a plan, but for now we have to wait," he smiled at her, the smile may have been a little stiff, but no one commented.

"And what do you suppose we do in the meantime?" Remus asked, falling into the rhythm Sirius had set.

"I was thinking we move to the Potter Townhouse; I can't say I want to stay here," Sirius said a little too seriously (pun not intended). "What say you, Harry?" Sirius smiled at Harry and Harry smiled back.

"It sounds like a plan," he said.
