A couple weeks have passed since all of our Work-Studies. I honestly had a really awesome time with Mirko! Deku wanted me to come with him to the hospital in Hosu City. I'm not sure why, maybe someone I knew too was there? We got to the hospital, Mirio was there as well!
"Wait out here, I'l be right back." Deku told me.
I stood outside the room and waited for Deku.
I heard him say through the door, "Hey... I've brought another friend along! He's really nice! Alyx, you can come in now!"
I entered a room, and there was a white-haired girl, she looked about the same age as Liz.
"Eri-chan, this is Mr. Leonidus!" He told her.
I knelt down and smiled at her. She was rather a peculiar looking child, she had a horn on the right side of her forehead.
"Leo...nidus?" She faltered.
"Uh huh, that's right!" I smiled.
I looked down at her arms and noticed that they were bandaged up.
"Hey, do you have any ouchies on your arms?" I asked her.
"Ouchies? I... I don't know. What are ouchies?" She replied.
"Well, ouchies are like scrapes or cuts. I've got a few, see." I explained
I showed her my left arm and my left eye.
She gasped and looked at me, "I think I do!"
"I can blow them away for you," I smiled, "Watch this!"
I placed my hand on one of her arms and started to heal her. I blew air onto her arms to make it seem like I blew them away. Eri unwrapped her bandage off her arm, and it was completely clear. She looked up at me and then back at her arm.
"W-Whoa, they're... Gone!" Eri smiled.
"See! I blew them away!" I beamed.
"Deku, can he do that to your ouchies?" She asked.
"Well, he can, but I kind of like the look of them!" Deku smiled at her.
Mirio came in after a while, and we told Eri about the school festival we were planning. I think that Eri would have a really great time at this festival!
[Later That Night...]
"You're into music, right Jiro-san? A concert would be perfect for the school festival!" Kaminari exclaimed.
"Well, IF we do hold a concert, we need someone to sing. Plus, we'd have to have some sort of band set up." Tokoyami added.
I don't think I'd do well playing an instrument though. Jiro did teach me how to play guitar, but I'm not so sure about playing it in front of hundreds of people.
"Hey, Jiro-san..." I piped in.
"Huh? What's up?" Jiro answered.
"Do you think you could be the lead singer? I'm no good with instruments or singing, but you love music! So, I guess it only makes sense?" I wondered.
"Oh... I-uh... I guess I could give it a shot." She sighed.
Momo created a microphone for Jiro, and Jiro began to sing. Her voice... It was incredible! I don't think I've heard anything like it before! I didn't know that she could sing!
"Well, that settles it! We're throwing a concert! All we need now is to figure out who's gonna play an instrument." Kaminari told us.
"Well, Kacchan was really good at drums when we were younger." Deku added.
From across the room, Bakugo looked over, "Don't you dare bring me into this, shitty Deku!"
I looked over at him and the drum set next to me.
"Huh, maybe it's too hard for the great Bakugo to accomplish." Sero smirked.
I stared at Sero and shook my head fast. Bakugo promptly got up, without saying a word, and went over to the drum set. Deku was right, Bakugo was pretty good on the drums!
"There, you fuckers happy?" He retorted.
"Looks like we've found our drummer!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"SINCE WHEN DID I AGREE TO THIS, KIRISHIMA?!" Bakugo yelled.
At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if he legitimately went through the roof with how mad he got. Tokoyami, Kaminari, and Momo all agreed to play instruments. Mina convinced us that we should have backup dancers alongside it as well. I wasn't too keen on dancing, so I suggested we should have some sort of effects team. It all came together really well! And, before we all knew it, the day of the festival was here! There was loads of activities! Obstacle courses, races, photo booths, haunted houses and mazes! It was like a carnival! To start off, it was time for the concert. Even though I wasn't going to be seen, it was super nerve-wracking!
"Everyone ready?" Jiro asked.
We all nodded and Jiro faced the microphone.
Bakugo held the drumsticks up, "Let's do this shit! We're gonna... Murder all of them with our music!!"
Bakugo exploded and the show started! It was amazing! I dipped my fingers in colored dye and let off my Stardust Shoot! Kirishima was running around with a block of ice Shoto made! Aoyama was in the air and was making a light show with his laser! Momo shot out confetti from her arm! It was incredible, I couldn't believe how amazing it was! Jiro was doing an incredible job singing! Her voice was incredible!
"Being a hero isn't just about beating up bad guys and saving the day... It's about making people smile too!" I... I remembered something again!
That was Annie, she told me that? I couldn't help but smile as I noticed Eri on Mirio's shoulder, the little girl who I thought was gloom, became a shining star, she was smiling! After the show, Eri and Mirio came up to Deku, Jiro and I. Eri was ecstatic!
"At first, there was this loud boom and it was scary, but then everyone was jumping around and dancing and a girl's voice said 'Wow!' and I said 'wow' too!" Eri beamed.
Deku wiped tears from his eyes, "I'm really glad you had fun, Eri!"
Everything was a blast, all of us had fun today! Nejire won this beauty pageant thing, which was no surprise to any of us! After the day was over, we all returned to the dorms.
"Whew, what a day!" I exclaimed.
I crashed down onto the couch. I seriously hope that the fall is nicer than the summer in terms of events.
[Two Days Later...]
We were continuing to improve our super and ultimate moves, I had a rather wild idea that I cooked up in my head after reading a manga of mine. I put my hands out in front of me then slowly moved them towards my side.
"Ka... Me... Ha... Me... HA!!" I shouted.
The bright blue beam of Overdrive completely obliterated the wall in front of me! I shook my hands off before I felt someone grab my arm.
"Dude! Yaomomo's hurt bad!" Sero told me.
My eyes widened and we rushed over to her, I saw Mr. Aizawa make his way over as well. She was freaking out, the bo staff she normally wields looks as if it was stuck in her arm, I quickly knelt down beside her.
"Hey! Hey! Breath, okay? Look at me, Momo." I calmly instructed.
Where her staff was, blood dripped down her forearm and wrist. She was as white as a ghost but I completely understood why. I hugged her tightly as I looked up at Shoto.
"Shoto, this is going to sound completely crazy, but I need you to give her third-degree frostbite on this arm okay? We don't have a numbing agent around and neither am I wanting her to go into shock. I can heal it up no problem." I spoke up.
"Okay, this won't take long." He replied.
He knelt down and within a minute or so, her skin was showing signs of third-degree frostbite. I looked back and noticed that she was slowly going in & out of consciousness. I put her head on my chest and faced her head away from her left arm.
"Kirishima, do it!" I told him.
Kirishima pulled the staff piece out of her forearm, as soon as it hit the ground, I quickly healed her up as she passed out. I lifted her up and looked at Mr. Aizawa.
"I'll take her to Recovery Girl! Hopefully she'll be alright." I continued.
He nodded at me and I hurried out of the gym, what exactly was going on? I looked down at her to see that she was regaining her consciousness. She clung onto me as a look of fear came across her face.
"I don't know what's going on, I really don't." She spoke up.
"Hey, it'll be okay, I promise. We'll get this figured out together." I reassured her.
We made our way to Recovery Girl's office, I knocked on the door using my head, she opened the door and ushered us in.
"I already heard everything from Aizawa while you two were on your way! Set her down now, Alyx." She greeted.
"Yes, ma'am." I nodded.
I laid Momo down on the bed and sat at the foot of it. Recovery Girl pulled out a book, she flipped through a few pages, then stopped on one of them. She read through it before nodding to herself.
"Just as I suspected, you my dear, have gone through a 'Quirk Malfunction'. A very rare 'disease' that happens only once in a blue moon. By that I mean one in every 50 million people experience it." She explained.
"So, does this mean that we have to go on some absurdly long adventure to find a cure only for it to be the most obvious thing on the planet?" I wondered.
"Oh, no dear! You talk as if you come from experience! It's rather simple actually." Recovery Girl chuckled.
She opened her large medicine cabinet and looked through her large array of medication. She flicked a needle after filling it with medicine, numbed Momo's arm, then injected the medicine.
"Alright now, you're good to go. You'll be fine by the morning, get some rest, I'd image you need it." Recovery Girl informed us.
"Okay, thank you, Recovery Girl." Momo smiled.
Momo and I left her office, I turned around and saw Momo with one of her cheeks puffed out.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
She held her arms out, "Could you... Hold me like that again, please?"
"Alright, you don't have to be so bashful about it." I smiled.
I picked her up like I did before and walked back to the dorms. It didn't take us that long to get there, I made my way up to her room to which she hopped down and opened her door.
"Would you like to come in? I'd like your company." She questioned.
"I can stay for a little bit, I'm sure Mr. Aizawa would want me back soon." I agreed.
"Are you sure about that, darling?" She raised an eyebrow.
I shook my head and smiled at her, "You're wanting me to stay, aren't you? Okay, I will."
Her eyes lit up with glee and she let me into her room. I forgot that her bed was almost as big as the room itself! She laid down on her bed as I slipped my gloves off and took the top of my hero costume off. I laid down next to her, I looked to my right and noticed that she was staring at the ceiling while frowning it seemed. I slowly started to put my arm around her, the frown on her face started to change to a smile. I moved my arm towards me and it went back to the frown. I moved it in and out, her smile changed back and forth, I couldn't help but snicker a bit. She huffed and sat up to look at me.
"Would you make up your mind! Are you going to embrace me or not?" She pouted.
"S-Sorry!" I laughed.
I put my arms around her and she laid back down with another huff.
