Chapter 10(The quest)

Somewhere outside earth...

A young man could be seen pacing into a dark chamber. He possessed a latent, leonine power and walked with purpose and authority. His eyes resemble two liquid-blue pools of flashing fire. His body had scars however, something made was absurd, his hands were chained along with his legs and they weigh him down gradually at every step he took.

A throne was located in this chamber having no one on it. His look was stern and his eyes had bitterness. This chamber looked like a court as it had pillars beside the throne side by side.

"This chain keeps bounding me back and my days are becoming limited, how could he do this to me!...I need that pendant" he muttered harshly that where he stood began to vibrate. It was like though the walls in this place would break apart from his wrath. He couldn't believe why this old man requested to see him which was frustrating because he had to walk out of the cage he was been kept just to see the old man.

"Damian is on land and must have found the girl... it's not proper if he gets that pendant too before you do..." A crook voice responded him and this chained man growled loudly.

"I need to get on land! Why hasn't Nate returned?" He pressed on raging. The crook voice belonged to an old man who was drawing out of the darkness. The old man reported that she failed her assignments and hence, he took away her soul while in the hospital on land.

"I've been working on that your majesty...I managed to strick a deal with a human named professor Helen, she's sure consumed by greed and would do anything to get her quest" the old man expressed drawing closer to this raging man. He butressed that he appeared to professor Helen years ago who had been of help in search for the girl who had the pendant. Hence, she was part of them. The old man explained that professor Helen had gotten the girl's blood earlier when she was found unconscious by the sea shore hence, his chains could be unlock once he takes in her blood. However, he had requested professor Helen to take her blood again when this girl was awake to complete the ritual of breaking Lucian free from his chains.

"This is a quest for survival and the throne... Lucian, we can't let Damian win in everything, he's Narcissistic.." the old man paused and then glanced at the young man in front of him. The boiling prisoner in front of him didn't want to listen to what this wizard who had been his close ally in escaping has to say about his rival Damian rather he questioned;

"What's the plan?"

"Pretend to be her guardian or groom maybe and make Damian the bad one even though he is a bad one" the old man narrated swiftly and Lucian scoffed with disbelief. What was this old man saying because he literally was destruction itself and can't be a hero just like the tale says neither does he want to play guardian or groom to any girl. If he gets on earth, he assured himself that he was going to burn that girl in his wrath once he gets that pendant.

"If I take in her blood just to get free, it definitely means I would be stucked to her, remember that wizard!" He snarled growling at the old man as though to devour him. This old man must have had enough of his threat yet tried to act nice. The old man saw that as a perfect plan because Lucian can actually track her wherever she was.

"Yes, you can break away from that with just a random kiss...all we need is that pendant! Lucian before Damian does" the wizard pointed out while cussing at this man in front of him who was frustrating.

"To get on land, I wouldn't be myself...I have to swap soul, I'm not like Damian who could still possess the same features when on land" Lucian complained as the rattling of the chain on his wrists were becoming noisy.

"I have arranged for a perfect soul...well, Lucian...no destruction, just try mingling just to avoid suspicion"

Lucian snickered, he was liking the ideas which this man was suggesting and his temper was reduced as finally he would breath fine and not being locked under these chains. However, he wondered why that girl summoned him earlier that he caused the ship wreck just to get her but he couldn't because his father's army intervened and locked him up.

"I would prove to father that he was wrong for abandoning me and locking me up as a prisoner" he beckoned on the wizard who nodded and set to carry out the intiated plan while Lucian chuckled wickedly. His eyes darken at the throne which had a crown on the seat. Someone trustworthy was meant to sit on that throne with the pendant. Now that the king was ill, it was upto either one of his sons to take the throne. However, it turns out these sons weren't trustworthy. Though it was obvious he likes one more than the other which was Damian and what rings in the people's mind was that the young prince would rule them. Now there was a challenge which was the pendant that would determine who sits on that throne! He needed to get the pendant too which he proudly boasted that he would return in three days time. As for Lucian, breaking out of this chains was the first thing to do, then he soul shifts and find the girl with the pendant. However, something was still undecided which was the bride! The king had betrothed a bride for one of his sons and that bride was the girl with the pendant; that's why she was the chosen, however, who exactly does that human bride belong to? That's because when the king intended to expose who among the prince had that bride, he suddenly fell into coma and couldn't speak. Definitely, death was knocking for the old man. Though, he perceives Damian had an idea of who was the groom between them since he was the closest to their father. Even if Lucian had intensions of killing her, he couldn't because only her has the power of making the mysterious powers of that pendant work. Hence, her survival was still important.
