(Is being rewritten in another novel.)

Will appear in another novel with the same name within the next month or so as I properly rework it. Curse my inability to leave things unfinished.

Chapter 19

Now, hear him out. Rei had a perfectly good reason for shattering the blade.

Despite him having shattered the blade, it remained quite together.

See, Rei's thought process was because when he was in his mid-twenties in his old life, a game called Blade and Sorcery came out on the VR.

A mod, called 'Shatterblade' had also come out, and he really likes the idea of the blade, so when he noticed what his release was, it was one of the first things he thought about. He just needed a way to make it work properly how he wanted it to.

First, the blade is in pieces, yes. However, each piece will be marked with a special set of seals that allow them to return to their usual place, depending on how much chakra he fuels into the hilt, depends on how hard the pieces will fit together.

Meaning if he were to actively try, the odachi would look normal, a Sharingan could definitely tell there were cracks in the blade, but due to how thick, and absurdly powerful his chakra already is. It'd be held together properly.

Of course, it wouldn't work perfectly right away, it would take a lot of perfecting to make the idea do as he wanted to. But for now, he had the two most basic parts of it finished.

The ability to 'Separate and 'Return' the pieces. Holding the sword, the pieces floated wildly around where the blade would be if it was still whole, channeling chakra slowly the pieces spun more violently before slowly piecing themselves together until it formed the blade. Rei noticed how it looked cracked, but holding this chakra he stroked the sword out without putting strength into it and cut a piece directly off his anvil.

With a shit-eating grin, he gave it a few more swings before nodding.

Now, aiming the 'Blade' towards the opposite wall of his little forge, he channeled his chakra in a spike, before releasing it suddenly. The pieces separated once more before a shotgun blast flew forward, blasting through the wall, sinking into the stone wall.

The piece of the sword, just as they are right now is extremely deadly.

Focusing, he channeled chakra back to the blade, slowly at first as some pieces were able to come out easy enough before he had to channel more to practically force the pieces out. They came at him quite fast, and right before he was about to get full of shrapenel. He channeled a massive spike of chakra into the blade, forcing it to suddenly rebuild itself with the pieces. The sword humming as the blade seemed to vibrate. Each piece thrumming with energy, for now, he set the sword down and slowly lowered his chakra input until the pieces fell in place on his table, rubbing the hilt like a mad scientist.

His grin not leaving his face. ''Merry Christmas future me.''

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rei was sitting in Training Ground 1, it was sealed off for use for the 'Special Genin' they had basically acquired, though only Rei himself used it actively when he wasn't on Anbu duty.

Currently, he was meditating, he was trying to master his control of his Kekkai Genkai.

Rocks, Senbon, Kunai, Shuriken, papers, pieces of grass, and a few large boulders were floating around him.

He was focused, keeping aware of what each was, while also slowly manipulating their gravity, but still controlling their movement despite the carrying weight.

There was also a kunai with a simple paper around it, the paper having a seal on it.

It was a mark for Rei, so he could 'Know' which this was, and like how Minato used these targets to teleport to Kunai, what Rei was using them for was to always know where it was.

Slowly, while Rei was channeling this, he himself began to float. Modifying his own gravity while also lessening the resistance to gravity, controlling himself to float onto the boulder that was large enough to sit him. He slowly placed things around him in a near, and orderly pile.

Once he finished, he opened his eyes, seeing everything just as he wanted it to he smiled. Months of hard work paying off. Now however he needed to work on how much control his gravity had. His goal was to be able to control the 'Needles' of gravity. Basically spikes of gravity that could be useful for him.

Imagine A, the Third Raikage was using his hell stab? What would happen if right before he hit something, the gravity his hand entered ended up being 50x stronger? It'd cause his aim to head down and pierce the ground instead.

Hell, imagine if Rei was able to make such a small gravity spike like a needle, that was the size of a hair, but concentrated to be up to some crazy-ass number like 4000x, couldn't he just place it in front of someone's heart, head, or anything vital and have it act as a bullet, they themselves would run into?

Right now, Rei had no control of his gravity to that extent, the only thing he could focus on was an object's gravity. Of course, that's still broken, what if he throws a kunai with light gravity into the air, and then with some tweaks, increases its gravity up to 50x and it comes down like a fucking missile?

The 'Project Thor' from his past life, which in stupid terms basically was just throwing rods of Tungsten from space, and letting gravity do its work.

(Real thing btw, look it up. Fun read.)

What if Rei decided to one day just say 'Fuck logic' and make a railgun? If a bitch can fire a quarter like one, he could.

Also, has Rei ever mentioned how weird it was to live in a realistic world, that still had some semblance of anime logic? Like Big head jutsu, nose fountains, stretchy cheeks.

It was weird, no one even questioned them either. Maybe Rei's the only weird one because he notices it.

(Pa-treon to building my own project Thor.)
