20 Chapter 20

~Official Genin Team.~

Rei had officially 'Graduated.'

Despite his Anbu experience he technically still wasn't a Genin, however now he was. With it, came his team. Which, he liked how his team was set up, but there was one team he wasn't too sure about.

His own team consisted of only males. Orochimaru, Kakashi, and himself. The team of the top three, so to speak. Orochimaru scoring the highest behind Rei in the written test, Kakashi and Rei taking the highest practical test.

Orochimaru was stronger than canon for sure, however, his Taijutsu and shurikenjutsu weren't strong. Ninjutsu and Genjutsu as well as a minor sensory, it wasn't considered a sensory type, more of an instinct.

However, Orochimaru did show his shrewd intelligence.

While Kakashi showed his own genius skill, having already made the Chidori, with Rei's help.

Rei told the group that they always needed a 'Personal' Jutsu, something no one else at the time of their creation had, something that could be used as a signature, something that can turn the tide of battle since no one would know what to expect.

The team that Rei didn't like was Mei, Tsunade, and Jiraiya. He wasn't sure exactly when the Perverted bastard showed up, but what he did know is he was going to make sure he didn't get his hands on either of them.

Though he didn't need to worry, due to his existence as a whole, Tsunade and Mei were both stronger than they were when they were younger in canon. A light punch from Tsunade was enough to send Jiraiya flying.

Maybe Rei would attempt to help Jiraiya be something more? More Rei himself was disappointed in his cannon self. It was just up to how he'd feel when the situation would come around that he would be able to help him.

Their Jonin teacher was actually Shimaki Nara, which in a way? Was cool as hell. Rei was smart, and so were his two friends, but they had no experience or application of their mind to strategy and such, and that is exactly why Tobirama aimed to put them together.

Rei never found out who the teacher for Mei and Tsunade was, however, he knew that they'd hate it because their teacher was supposed to make them learn patience, something that even Rei found hard to teach them no matter how hard he tried.

Since the ongoing war made leaving the village dangerous, they did mostly missions involving the care, and maintenance of the village as well as helping civilians. Since all of them knew shadow clones it was easy, even if they were only limited to one clone, and Rei 8, it still did wonders for their mission completion, as well as their pockets.

They still traveled outside the village, since they were 'Special' But a lot of their time and training was spent focusing on basics, playing Shogi, and Shimaki helping them iron out their basics by sparing them. Which was very helpful, having someone with the intelligence that was to a level he could pick out every weakness we showed or had was definitely an experience that helped them grow as not only individuals but also a team.

They actually had a lot of training with other Genin teams, all specializing in certain fields and area's, different levels of skill and experience, they were usually on the defending side, trying to build a strategy to capture all attackers and the like, the times they did act as the attacking team was the same, just attacking, capturing, and securing intel. Rei's experience and knowledge were a great asset to them since he already had field experience.

Rei got information from Tobirama that he was actually attempting to make Rei's team in particular a specialized Anbu unit made for the more sensitive missions of the 'Sensitive' missions.

The Leader of their team Shimaki made sure they understood something. Being a shinobi was hard, and it came with pain. All of them had already had to deal with their first kill, it was the first thing they were instructed to do, right after the academy.

Rei continued his own training while helping his team with their own, he was actually learning how to go against the shadow technique of the Nara clan, and it seemed simple, but only to people like Rei who had an absurd amount of Chakra.

It was actually a lot like disrupting seals and genjutsu, but it required much more. You basically needed to be stronger than the shadow. The more struggle you put up against it, the faster it drains the chakra of the person using the technique.

Rei actually created a flash release paper that reacted to the technique. Their skill wasn't a Kekkai Genkai or anything, it was hidden and couldn't be accessed easily, but just Rei who had a good distinctive understanding over it, after having fought against it multiple training in spars was able to copy it. A much more brutalized method actually, where as Nara's could have the shadow wrap around your body gently and hold it in place, when Rei tried. He tried to grip a tree.

When his shadow got it's hands around the tree the tree got ripped apart, oh well. Another thing to add to Rei's quickly growing list of ways to kill someone.

Shimaki wasn't 'Upset' over it, he wouldn't help with Rei's technique, knowing full well why it was tearing apart his opponents. He saw it as a testament to Rei's overwhelming skill in a matter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently Rei was working with a lot of shadow clones, all of them focusing on mastering his lightning release, there were 'Whispers' in books, and on the tongue of elders that spoke of a new level of releases after someone mastered it to it's limit. Tobirama had reached a point where he could seemingly conjure water from thin air without the need for water in his jutsu control, Rei had an idea why that worked actually, and confirmed it. It was due to after enough control, you could 'Pull' moisture from the air.

It didn't, actually make sense how this much moisture could appear, but maybe there was another hidden aspect that Rei just wasn't seeing, or simply hasn't understood?

But, releases taking a different strength, Rei knew was true. A chidori supplied with six paths made the lightning from blue to black. Would it be possible for Rei to get six paths chakra? Perhaps, but he'd need to be careful, he planed to master all the basics first, and then once he's reached the peak of all the basics that anyone has access to, he'll then start mastering the other routes.
