Dommy's in trouble

Just as several people were about to sit down for dinner, Mike's phone rang, and it was a call from Dom.

"Mike, take good care of Mia," Dom's voice trembled with emotion, his words weighed down by a heavy burden. "Something... something terrible has happened to me."

"What happened?" Mike asked, concerned.

"The shit I pulled off was discovered by the FBI, so now I'm wanted," Don revealed.

"Okay, no problem. Be careful, Dom," Mike assured him.

Mike handed the phone to Mia, who listened with tears streaming down her face.

She sobbed and, while clinging to Dom, whispered, "Goodbye, brother."

Mike addressed the rest of the group, "I have something to attend to here, please go ahead and eat."

"Okay. If you need my help, just call me," Leonard offered.

"Thank you," Mike replied gratefully.

Mike swiftly drove Mia to the bank, where they withdrew some cash before heading to meet Dom.

In a secluded location, Mia anxiously observed Dom, sporting a band-aid on his face, and expressed her concern, "Please be careful on the road."

Despite her worry, she held no blame for Dom and did her best to support him.

Mike handed Dom a stack of cash, embraced him, and said, "Take care on the road. If you need any help, don't hesitate to reach out."

"Thank you," Dom sincerely replied.

They didn't exchange any more words but simply urged Mike, "Take care of Mia."

Mike inquired, "What specifically should we do if the FBI questions us?"

Dom glanced at Mike and Mia and advised, "Just say you don't know anything."

As the distant sound of a police siren reached their ears, Dom Swiftly bid farewell to Mia and Mike, "I have to go now. You can contact Brian for further instructions."

With that, he swiftly got into his car and drove away, and Mike and Mia followed suit.

Inside the car, Mia's worried expression was etched with deep lines of anguish, her eyes brimming with tears that traced a path down her trembling cheeks.

Each tear carried the weight of her fears and uncertainties, mirroring the turmoil within her heart as she grappled with the uncertain future that her brother will face.

Mike softly reassured her, "Everything will be fine," reaching out to pat her hand.

Arriving home, Mike instructed Mia, "Go and get some rest. I'll sleep in the living room tonight." He retrieved a set of oversized clothes and a few blankets from the cupboard.

Mike believed that Dom was bound to face troubles, and it would be best for Mia not to return to their previous place.

He planned to assist her in acquiring some clothes the following day, while also exploring the availability of vacant apartments within their building so he could personally take care of Mia.

His intention was to ensure Mia's peace of mind in the coming days and prevent any complications during potential police questioning.

"Thank you," Mia said, her eyes shining brightly as she looked at Mike.

Mia readily accepted his arrangement, preferring to avoid police questioning for the next few days and spare her brother any trouble.

After taking a brief rest and shower, the two of them sat in the living room.

Mike also contacted Vince to gather more details about the situation.

As it turned out, Dom, despite his considerable personal wealth, remained entangled in a world of criminal activities alongside his former acquaintances, willingly risking everything due to his loyalty.

Dom's skills were indispensable within the group, and his primary motive was to help his childhood friends.

As Vince recounted Dom's situation, Mia remained silent, absorbing the information.

"I think I need some beer," Mia looked at Mike and said.

Mike also feels that although drinking to escape, it is also worthy of being a way of easing the tension.

Mia believes Mike to be gay, so she has no scruples at all.

"Alright! I'll go buy some beer," Mike affirmed.

"Okay, I'll wait for your Corona," Mia responded.

Shortly after, Mike returned with a case of Corona, and they began drinking, gradually growing more relaxed, lounging on the floor.

The next morning, Mia awoke, her first realization being that she was naked, her delicate figure exposed.

Startled, she sat up abruptly, reassessing the situation. Everything appeared normal upon closer examination.

Mia breathed a sigh of relief, yet a thought lingered in her mind, "Mike must be gay. I'm here, naked, and he didn't even bat an eye. He even escorted me to the bedroom."

Mia reached for the neatly stacked underwear by her bedside, headed to the bathroom, and proceeded to shower. Soon, Mike's internal clock awakened him.

Mike woke up to his internal clock, his face displaying excitement upon regaining consciousness. Without delay, he switched on the system.

Eagerly, Mike hurried to the bathroom, only to encounter Mia brushing her teeth, wearing nothing but her underwear. Mike quickly averted his gaze and apologized, "I'm sorry!"

Mia responded calmly, "It's okay."

After all, why would she worry about Mike who wouldn't do anything to her?
